Unbound by Halston is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Unbound was launched in 2001. The nose behind this fragrance is Patricia Bilodeau. The fragrance features carnation, tuberose, amber, lily-of-the-valley, cedar and bergamot.
The only thing I tried in this was a shower gel and lotion a long while back. I was really impressed! I'm not sure what the fragrance would be like but the shower gel and lotion I really enjoyed using and my boyfriend really liked the smell too. It's fresh and womanly. It made my sheets and bed smell really good!I think it was the bergamot, I wouldn't mind giving the fragrance a try! I would have to order it online because I haven't seen it anywhere. It was summer when I used it too...I liked it! It smelled great in warm weather. Honestly, I always thought this was one of those fragrances that needed to be layered, thats the only reason I have never bought the spray alone. I wouldn't apply it close to my skin, instead I would spray it in the air a few times and walk through the mist. :D
Goes on with an fizzy alcoholic note briefly then it's a very pretty lily of the valley and amber mix. Unfortunately, there is a slight aquatic feel to it that reminds me a lot like shampoo. This is one of the first lily of the valleys that hasn't turned to urine on my skin, and while it's nice, it's not FB worthy to me.
had it when the box and frag were pink not purple. it was nice but nothing stood out.
I like it! I'm not really into floral-fruity type of a scent, however this one is definately an exception.
At first it smells like a fizzy bubbly drink, champagne-y and actually very classy! I usually hate alcohol-like fragrances with passion, but Unbound is different, it still manages to feel clean and lovely, girly, but not too sweet and very refreshing.
It reminds me just a little of omnia crystalline by bvlgari, but this is a more edgy, not so innocent version, yet still somewhat pure and invigorating!
Really great for summer/spring, day or night.
I got this sample as a freebie with another perfume order. It is not really my style to begin with.
Upon first application it smelt a little like Chardonnay which was nice. It didn't last.
There is something in this which reacts really horribly with my skin. It smells both artifical & dirty organic at the same time (like a pair of old nylon panties).
This vile note does fade a little but it is enough to create repulsion for anything that comes after. Luckily, I am not missing out because the artifical note remains in full force.
I really really don't like this perfume.
For me this fragrance is totally flowery and I can also say powdery, too. Some nice, fragrant flowers that make me feel really womenish. Today as I bought it and start to wear, I was with my acid jeans and simple hoody witt stars and I felt that it is not very good pair, because this fragrance I think is suitable to wear even with evening dress. So, really nice, I am recommending it to try. The price is even very good for quality and staying power.
this fragrance probably will not knock you off the heels, but i have to admit it is quite nice)) very aquatic and flowery - perfect for hot summer days. It reminds me of some other perfume but i can't decide which one. In any case, I have a small Unbound bottle which will be over soon and i'm considering buying a new bigger one.
This is quite refreshing in the summer months, let me tell you! Right up there, on par with a glass of lemonade.
At first spritz, I wasn't sure whether this was supposed to be a fruity floral or a floral aquatic - it merrily dances the line between the two. One whiff is like biting into a ripe, wet fruit; the next breath is crisp water.
Backing the fruity and aquatic notes are transparent, lofty florals. Ladies, do not fear! The carnation is not spicy, the tuberose is not old-lady-ish or cloying, and the muguet is not overpowering.
This fragrance is a feminine take on a lazy summer afternoon. Lush fruits make a loud entrance, but soon find a seat next to carnation, tuberose, and muguet. These florals sit quietly, with their hands clasped in their laps and demure smiles on their faces. And of course, the scent of a clear-running stream is carried in on a breeze...
Another comparison? Imagine it is a sweltering July day and you are lounging by the pool. A child splashes you with the freezing cold pool water. Those moments after the initial shock... you know, when your body is cooling down and you're reveling in the reprieve from the heat? That's what Halston Unbound is like.
It is simple and refreshing. And for the price, it certainly can't be beat. The sillage is modest and the staying power is average. Give it a sniff!
I liked it very much. It's very fresh and light. If you experience 48*C in summer - this perfume is what you need.
Based on the fragrance notes, I should like this one, but I don't. Perhaps there's too much Lily of the Valley, or maybe the aquatic note just doesn't work with the others. This is a case where the whole is NOT greater than thans sum of its parts...its less.
