The new edition brings a more intense call for a journey and it was presented to the market in 2010 in the same flacon form colored in black, hiding a stronger perfume concentration - Eau de Parfum. The composition is built around the above notes of the original Voyage d'Hermes with added floral notes of rose and warm amber. The composition provides lemon, cardamom and spices in top notes. A heart hides hedione, floral notes with accentuated rose, green notes and tea notes, with a strong trail of musk combined with blond wood and warm amber.
The fragrance Voyage d'Hermes Eau de Parfum is available as 35 and 100ml EDP and belongs to the Voyage d'Hermes collection – official website Hermes. Voyage d'Hermes Eau de Parfum was launched in 2012.

Totally out of the box I am addicted to this smell. At first impression: herbal, spicy, lemony fresh, courageous, freedom, it smells natural, one of the most natural perfume I ever smelled reminds me of Aveda hair products but with more complexity. When the middle note sets in, I smell bittersweet ginger, comforting and powdery. I love that is it unisex, can totally be the perfume for a couple into each other, adopting this scent like their love. Unisex perfumery is an oxymoron, masculine and feminine. Both sex wearing it should be the active type close to nature, outdoorsy, I don't see coach potatoes wearing this. On a man I see a natural, smart, hipster, surfer type with a quiet personality, patient and kind to women with a soft side, yet confident of his masculinity, I also see it on a homosexual with an artsy side. If your macho skip this. I like the smell on a man mixed with its natural strong manly odours it accentuates/balance with his masculinity instead of overpowering it like boring musky man perfumes. On a women I smell confidence, sporty, none girly, wanting to stand out among other women, who got sick of floral and fruity scent wanting to be a new person, wanting to shock instead to attract(with common vanilla or sweet scents),and try different things maybe after a breakup and wanting to explore the world full of danger, therefore Voyager?
I was expecting more out of this one, knowing that it's the perfume version. It still is weak. Not a big fan of the Hermes line. Didn't last long on my skin. It's warm with a bit of ginger. Didn't really tell me much. Try it.
USD 85 for the EDT and 110 for the EDP, better be worth it. I gave my EDT away because it's too weak and not so suitable in hot climate. Probably EDP is much better, for that price i'll think it over. At least I've got Terre de Hermes, and that is lovely...one of my best stuff amongst my collection
This is what I thought the Edt would smell like. It's a weak EdP the way the Edt is a weak Edt. Nevertheless, I like it better than the Edt because you can actually smell the cardamom for a significant amount of time. I smell plenty of citrus, but there is also an underlying woodiness that is appealing because it gives the watery fragrance some dimension. I would not pay $100 for this, but if I could find it for $30 I might be inclined to buy.
Definitely my signature scent! Got this as a gift from Hermès over a year ago and I am on my second refill.. The scent is herbal, woody, ensuring and somewhat fresh. Very luxurious!
This is a pure perfume, the projection is hard to judge. I can smell it days after in my clothing but for myself and the other people the scent projects for 2-4 hours. In conjunction with the body (& face) cream it projects much better. I recommend you (also) purchase the 35ml for on the go!
A journey from bright and lightly spicy citrus to the warm wood is amazing. This transformation takes a couple of hours (wish it would last longer and the sillage of base notes would be stronger), without any traces of inarticulate soap. However, base notes stay on skin for a quite a long time.
This rare combination of uplifting elegance and cozy harmony is something I seek in fragrances, so I'm happy to find "Voyage". And it's my first fragrance by Hermes.
ps. I think, a bottle with wood elements would fit this nature fragrance in a better way than metal; it's innovative though.
Gin and Tonic. Great. Siliage. Bad.
Voyage d' Hermes Eau de Parfum smells like a stranger on a train.
Not just any stranger, but one I'd like to get to know...
He has a beautiful jaw line, serious features and dark hair. Even though he has been traveling for some time, he doesn't look the least bit fatigue-
Okay. My cat just puked on my floor. I cleaned it up, and then sacrificed the rest of my Voyage d' Hermes sample to freshen up the air. Now returning to the other room to continue my review of VdH on my skin.
Like other reviews of this fragrance, I can attest that VdH opens with a citrus blast, (Ahhh!! LEMON!!...) but then gradually evolves into something extremely light and welcoming. A romantic interior space like an old fashioned luxury train car charging through the mountains. Once it warms up, this fragrance becomes enchanting, if you can write off the turbulent opening.
I smell Sunlight, woods, citrus and spices. When I first smelled it I thought, It's Jean Claude Ellena! It's Garden on the Mountainside by the Train tracks! He does Sunlight very well in his fragrances.
Voyage d' Hermes Eau de Parfum dries down to sweet earthy woods. This fragrance is a win for a man or a woman. It's projection sucks so it would be great for an office, etc., and its longevity is slightly better than its projection but still leaves much to be desired considering it is an Eau de Parfum.
In keeping with Jean Claude Ellena's more recent contributions to the fragrance world, this one too is definitely a watercolor as opposed to a powerhouse. I would pick it over Terre d' Hermes ANY DAY. Shiso and flint note? Don't even.
When I first sprayed this on I thought it was a citrus aromatic perfume because the lemon top note hung on strong for a few hours along with a rooty sort of herbal accord.
I assumed because it was a citus based scent that it would fade away soon. So I was really surprised after hours passed that I could still smell this scent while doing the dishes. I had sprayed it on the top of my hand.
After more time passed the scent began to lose the big lemon top note and I was left with a pleasant woody, lightly spicy scent with a hint of musk.
Hermes quality cannot be beat. The longevity and sillage of this perfume was fantastic. Especially for something that has such a citrus blast. I have found the same with other Hermes offerings.
This would be fantastic in the summer. And perfect on a man or a woman.
I first smelled it on my father in law! The lavender was what captivated me. I had my boyfriend try it on and made him buy it at the duty free on our way home from Paris. Love this soft smell, that is not aggressive. I wish it would hold longer than 3 hours. I think I might try it on myself as it seems to be a unisexe perfume.
Fell in love from the first sniff. I've now walked around after testing Voyage for a few days and will def buy it, although fresh clean and slightly citrusy, it has a strong delicate wonderfully blended woodiness in it and its truly unisex in the sense that its sexy on a woman in a new BS way, i.e. it doesn't event hint masculinity.
I disagree with the people who compare it with Cartier. Simply because I was just wearing the last spritz of my bottle of C when came across with Voyage. Yes, there are similarities, but Cartier is just so much more linear and even slightly boring. Voyage has more depth. But it does remind me my other Hermes favourites - Un Jardin Sur de Nil & Apres la Mousson, but is more woody, less juicy.
It develops and lasts well on my skin (its all about chemistry), but is incredibly long lasting on my clothes and I like EDP more than EDT as its more balanced. Btw, it IS EDP, despite of whats written in the bottle for marketing purposes, so pls dont talk about pure parfum here. If you like it, but it doesnt last long, I always recommend to use other body products such as shower gel and lotion with the EDP, makes a big difference.
The opening of this scent is very harsh, I almost passed on it because of the opening..It's almost like the small amount of musk that is in the bottle all comes out with the first spray, very strong and awkward initially.. Luckily I'm one of those guys that sprays on my pulse point walk around a bit to see how the dry down comes together..A- MAZ- ING!! Intensely fresh and clean! The lemon, rose and I seem to pick up either patchouli or vetiver in the transition is superb. Was a no brainer I went back to purchase on the spot.. The one other thing that perplexes me are the comments that this is a fall/ winter frag, I couldn't disagree more.. Citrus and fresh/ clean equals spring/summer!! This frag works perfect for the warmer months.. Highly recommended and keep in mind just get past the opening and you will be just fine!!
My bottle of Voyage says Pure Perfume instead of EDP. And maybe because of that, it developed gradually and very differently on my skin with time. The top notes of citrus and spices were never there until the very strong floral and green notes started to soften. There was one very short time that it resembled Cartier Declaration but quickly the floral, very fainted rose, amber and musk dominated the scent again. This fragrance is intense yet not strong or overbearing once the blast of floral opening mellowed to become a warm floral amber sweet musk type of scent. Voyage Perfume is a fragrance for someone looking for an intense yet soft comfortable scent that can linger on the body all day long.
I REALLY LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE..!!
I am notoriously biased towards autumn/winter fragrances hence my wardrobe is full of oriental heavy weights. This is one of the few scents I feel drawn to. I got a miniature bottle of this when last buying another Hermes perfume, so had to try it out and promptly spilled it all over the carpet in my bedroom. WARNING: the minituare bottle is a right little f*****, be careful when sliding off the cap !!
Luckily, I survived wearing Voyage all day long including in the cinema and still enjoyed smelling it in my bedroom when returning home. Based on the carpet experience I would not say the lasting power is that great though. 1-2 days later and it was gone.
I usually don't care for the sort of spice at the center of this fragrance, but somehow it seems more balanced here. I can't tell you how surprised I was the day I went into Sephora for Spicebomb and came out with this instead. On paper, it's exactly the kind of thing I don't much care for, but in reality it feels luxurious, exotic, and mature. I can sense some of the other notes there, but to me it mostly smells like tea and spices.
Voyage is a strange exprience. I wasn't sold at first, the initial spray smelling like a gin and tonic (my boyfriends somewhat accurate words). Half an hour later I was hooked- smelling my wrist non-stop, smelling my scarf and later my clothes after I took them off, hoping for the smell to have transferred. I wanted to smell it all the time and have people associate it with me. I wore it again the next night and took more time to smell the stages as they unfolded. The clean, sharp top notes are very citrusy (or junipery, I swear! But Juniper is not listed as a note) and strong. The middle smells completely different, green and still sharp, but the sharpness is now coming from the floral notes and a touch of rose on the horizon. The dry down is like a rose lying on cedar by a fire with the smell of the sea breeze at night creeping in occasionally.
I love it. People compliment me not on my perfume but how I smell as the scent is so natural. It could last longer, and the sillage on me is powerful at first but dies down quickly.
Overall I love this parfum. On my skin this is a strictly winter scent. It is all cedar, smoke, pine and spice with a hint of leather - quite heavy and masculine. I was actually very surprised to read that others can smell citrus or consider this a light scent for summer. I also cannot detect any floral background to it - not even heavy rose - but this does not detract at all from my love of this scent.
It has far more longevity on fabric; for instance my wool coat smells absolutely beautifully of this days after I have worn it, and therefore so does my entire foyer coat closet. The moment I open the coat closet door I immediately think of fall campfire, tweed, moss, cedar and expensive scotch. However on my skin the scent is mainly cedar and after 3 hours I can no longer detect it on anything but my clothing.
I love to layer this with a jasmin scent, as they work together in an oddly cohesive and balanced way with my chemistry.
Not bad, a bit of a calm spicy scent. Good for the warmer weather.
My signature scent. I really enjoy the EDT. However, I have found that I actually enjoy the EDP to an even greater extent. It takes the skeleton of the original and adds greater depth, richness, and warmth to it. An overall amazing scent. Starts off with an herbal lemony citrus opening which warms its way into a semi-sweet and incredibly smooth floral woody base that to me is pure heaven. In the words of another.....this fragrance brings to mind someone who takes great pride and enjoyment in their grooming!! I could say more but its probably been said already. Beautiful fragrance.
Better in my book than all before-mentioned fragrances, even if it shares some similaritied with some of them, especialy EDT edition and Cartier.
Strong bitter-fresh-spicy notes at top (resinous coriander-plenty of, makes me think of Eau de Cartier Concentree, plus pepper and some lemon-peel), stayed on my skin more than 1 hr., until the green flowery middle notes take the stage (beautiful rose note-remember of Brit, aromatic tea-like the one in Gucci II) putting some of the spices in background, but still going strong.
After 3-4 hrs, the base kicks in and the ambery-woody notes melt the whole in an elegant aura that remains on skin a long time, asking to be sniffed more and more. Unisex?!...who cares? My rank 9/10.
I love it by now and thinking at the moment when I will own and enjoy it, I only can say: "The best is yet to come" :)
It is Pure Prestige!!!
Very positive and refreshing aroma. I found it to be a cross between Cartier's Declaration and Terre d'Hermes, but Voyage is one level above them. Truly good mixture of citruses, musk and wood.
I SO MUCH wanted to have this... but no matter how many times I tried it, it never, never convinced me. I love its bottle but I don't buy scents because of their bottles... Sorry, Hermès, not this time.
Enjoying my decant of this juice. I normally don't like a strong citrus topnote but this one is balanced nicely with amber and spices. The effect is of a sea voyage going to exotic places. Makes me think I'm in the harbor at Marrakech smelling the distant spices in the souk. There is also something about the combo of notes that smells fresh, breezy and even salty like the sea. It's like the great scent you get from the deck of a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. Perfect for airplane travel and the bottle that some seem to think is odd is specifically designed for travel. This is a travel flask for your parfum. It is ready to go with you anywhere without special efforts on your part.
Gentlemen used to have travel flasks like this for their bespoke scents when they went on the Grand Tour in the 18th and 19th century. I think Sebastian must have had one of these scent flasks when he went to Morocco or Algeria in Waugh's "Brideshead Revisited."
One of the best perfumes I have bought for summer. Great scent and longevity. The only thing that was wrong with this perfume was the price. For a 35ml I spent 65€ with discount. But definetly a buyer
The parfum smells very similar to Balahe (Leonard) IMHO.
My sister thinks it smells like carrots.
Really close to Bigaradee concentrèe of Malle.
This one is less transparent and not so fresh...and i find a sweet musky note over all the development
A good alternative to Malle expansive orange/citrus woody cologne.
This is an excellent, fresh fragrance. Unlike the EdT, I smell a rosey top note that really adds something more to the fragrance. It's a pretty masculine floral note that I smell that isn't too heavy and still leaves it light and fresh enough to wear in the summer. This is a great fragrance that I highly recommend getting your nose on. I can see where some people say that it's soapy, which I wouldn't argue, however I think that it's a more sophisticated soapy smell than what most people would assume "soapy". Again, I was really impressed with this fragrance. Absolutely love it.
The is a pure parfum. It's not supposed to prickle noses all day like a frisky eau-de-toilette. It's got a smooth, deep, clean musky floral, almost emollient feel that unfurls in layers and can be appreciated by male and female alike. It lasts for hours and hours. Hermès fragrances are formulated with a sheer presence in mind. You may forget you're wearing it, but other people will notice. This is not supposed to be an exaggerated oranges-and-Doritos-and-buttercream-frosting fragrance that pleases vulgar snack appetites. This one is pleasing for well-adjusted tastes, and there's no harsh pepper like the eau de toilette variety of Voyage. High quality. It's almost like one of its predecessors, Déclaration de Cartier Essence, with more sweet and gorgeous neutral musks, and minus the overt sense of sweat. Recent offerings from a certain luxury house whose name starts with the letter "C" seem almost to wish they were more like this parfum.
I really like voyage d´hermès the Edt, so I tried the perfume too,
and this one is also amazing. Not so fresh and less lemon, in my opinion,
but warmer. But the weird thing is that it lasts even less, only about
2 hours, at least on my skin. In the beginning it is stronger than the Edt but
after 2 hours it´s completely gone. The Edt is very light too, which I like, that´s
the character of this scent, but stays 3-4 hours, on my skin, and is still there.
The Edp is completely gone after 2 hours.
Scent: 20/10 love, love, love the smell of it!!
Sillage: 6/10
Projection: 5/10
Longevity: 4/10 (Last only 2-3 hours on my skin)
Season: To me, Summer only
Occasion: Any, just bring a decant with you.
Wonderful. This fragance is so amazing and smells so good. My boyfriend just put a sample of Voyage EdP on his skin, and wow, we just love it.
Fresh and spicy, perfect for summer time.
My male friend is a huge fan of Hermes and he introduced me to this fragrance. I immediately fell in love with it and was absolutely pleased that it unisex.
It truly is a 'voyage' as the spicy notes evoke a feeling of travel in the sea, the trading spices in the Arab gulf/Indian ocean. It is in turn luxurious and mystique, reminiscent of romantic summer nights in an exotic setting. It is warm and sexy and truly enticing.
Really?, THE BEST!
I love it, more than edt
love love love!
Classy and stylish. Voyage d'Hermes Parfum is my liquid confidence. I saw 2 comparisons to Clive Christian. Interesting. Perhaps the members who did so were gauging the initial smells. The quality is good, but not "next day good." You're probably asking, "What's next day good?" This is when you can smell the fragrance on yourself next day as if you've put it back on again. If only it had that kind of kick, then it would be the perfect scent. I expected the Parfum to latch on to my olfactory senses like barbed wire, instead it was very caressing. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a gift set with the moisturizing face and body balm. I will use it sparingly.
This is not an EDP, it is a parfum, now what it does is come out with a blast at the beginning, then fade away only marginally more slowly than the EDT. Is there some aromachemical in here that causes anosmia? Back to the drawing board after two years and Hermès still cannot get this thing to function as a personal fragrance? Shame because it is actually a very nice smell while it lasts.
The overbearing sales assistant's at Neiman's were pushing this one, and I noticed how they would spray it on the card and then give it a minute to settle down before shoving it under the customer's nose, whereas with other scents they'd just give a quick shake to let the alcohol get away. I apologize for the vulgarity, but this "parfum" suffers from premature ejaculation.
i love voyage because its pure parfume and its fragrance is a pretty unique and soothing for any occassion...i also excited that it will be an EDP too.smelling good is a good feeling you know.im glad i smell grate in this.
To my nose Voyage d'Hermes Eau de Parfum plays in the same ground with Kenzo Power, the similarity between this two perfumes are undeniable, however VDEP is richer and if you spray more then 2-4 times you might end up suffocating yourself!
If you are looking for woody or spicy perfume then this is not what you’re looking for ... because VDEP is all about flowery, musk and green notes
Lasting power is about 5 – 7 hours with decent Sillage.
Longevity: 7/10
Projection: 7/10
Scent: 8/10
Overall: 7.5/10
Just the same opening in toilette version, that springy and exploding initiating with radiant cardamom and woody theme though a bit heavier and sweeter cause it's parfum version.
The base is a little far from the original one yet superb; I found it much better that toilette one. The base is floral spicy and deliciously cute yet not definitely either masculine or feminine, something at the middle. Well, actually the gender is not the matter in this scent and it's hard to consider either this or that.
Sweeter and denser than EdT, I find it even better. It doesn't have this sharp accord from original Voyage, but it has more woods - especially lovely cedarwood.
Great unisex.
A disappointment. Way too strong and uncompromising. The dilution of this scent visible in the edt offering is attractive, sensual and enticing. The parfum version here evinces a choke-like quality that is too much in all senses of the word in my humble opinion.
Please correct the name in the article. this is pure parfum concentration, not EDP.
this one is actually pure parfum!
Probably the coolest bottle i have seen seen! I hope the scent is nice!
Does this Smell like the EDT? I see the notes have changed a little and I hope it doesnt smell to feminine. I LOVE the EDT version it just didnt have enough projection/longev for me.
It's a good move for this great house. Voyage is a magnificent fragrance that needed a bit more strength. Perfect timing with spring/summer peeping ever more around the corner.
Magnificent. Excellent. Fantastic.
I am very happy to know that the Voyage range will have an EDP.
I love the perfumes of Hermès.
The Voyage is a really great scent in all directions. Now that will be out in EDP, it seems to me that this is a work of art.
Thank Hermès, this was really what I needed.
Oh, cool! This one really needs EDP cause it's so great but the presentation is poor. Hope it is the really great lasting masterpiece, of curse with the same quality of smell.
