An Ode to Tuberose was presented with a new collection by the house of Histoires de Parfums, which includes three fragrances with key ingredient – tuberose flower. The fragrances were created to tingle your imagination with an oriental-gourmand-powdery composition of the first fragrance of the collection - Tubereuse 1 Capricieuse, romantic-oriental-fruity notes of Tubereuse 2 Virginale and animalistic-floral-leather composition refreshed with top notes of citrusy nuances Tubereuse 3 Animale.
Tubereuse 2 Virginale introduces perfect harmony of fruity notes with cherry and mandarin in a top, which add an opulent and feminine bouquet of iris, tuberose, tiare flower and frangipani, while an oriental base is built around blond wood, patchouli, vanilla and white musk.
All three fragrances are available as 120 EDP, as well as in a travel set which includes all three fragrances in amount of 13.5 ml each. Tubereuse 2 Virginale was launched in 2010.

Histoires de Parfums TUBEREUSE 2 is a clean, smooth, slightly creamy tuberose perfume. Something of a straightforward floral composition, I'd say. This is definitely less creamy than FRACAS and very different from TUBEREUSE 1 in that there is no discernible greenish note. Nor does TUBEREUSE 2 share the slightly vegetal quality of CARNAL FLOWER. All in all, a simple yet very appealing presentation of tuberose. Great longevity and good sillage.
mmmm, I'm loving this! Tubereuse 2 is mesmerizing! In its top notes, it weaves an aroma that I can best describe as heavenly black cherry pipe tobacco. As the scent develops, it becomes a harmonious duet of crisp iris and tuberose,in which neither flower dominates the scent bouquet. The flowers stay crisp, not billowy, making this a good unisex candidate.
Potency and longevity are moderately good, probably a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10.
Something about this scent brings to mind another stunner, Alien Liqeuer. If you like that one, definitely check out Tubereuse Virginale!
Virginale is a full-blown white floral scent in the beginning, a mature tuberose flower lusting after a pollinator, on a mission to lose its virginity. If there are fruity top notes, they blend into the tuberose so thoroughly that they’re not evident. After about 20 minutes a fluffy musk kicks in and the tuberose becomes more grape-y, gradually giving way to a generic tropical flower accord with just a hint of fruit and musk. Rather than revealing a clearly defined base, the scent just gradually fades away over the course of about 6 hours. Sillage is strong at first, but quickly diminishes to a whisper. This is a scent that comes on strong, but does not sustain the initial effort. Nice, but I did not find it not compelling.
At first spray, the tuberose is the most prevelant scent. After an hour, it's settled to a soft tiare scent. Which is what I've been searching for. It's not overpowering, or too sweet.
If you've been in Hawaii, you know that you can smell the scent of the tiare softly in the breeze. Just a hint, just enough to tickle the senses, just enough to be a pleasant tease.
I don't get musk, patchouli or vanilla on me.
It's not something that upon sniffing my wrist I think "hmm.... this is more appropriate for someone younger" it's a scent women of all ages could wear gracefully.
Sillage is medium to a little more. It's leaving a soft trail behind me. Not strong enough that anyone can pinpoint the particular scent or person wearing it, but strong enough they know they smell something pleasant. (Like I said, just a teaser)
Strength of the perfume is pretty good. I only sprayed it on one wrist and in the crook of one elbow this moring. (same side) So, I applied lopsided, and almost 1.5 hours later I can still smell it without plastering my nose to my arm. So, it needs to be applied with a gentle hand. Too much would be very overpowering and take the fragrance from exotic and teasing to in your face and smacking you in the head too strong.
I'm definitely adding this to my list of I want.
It's flirty, young and fresh. It has an exotic air that travels you to caribbean islands.I smell intense tiare flower I believe it could be wore by someone who likes girly scents.
