My best friend gave this fragrance for me. She's a sweet, feminine, happy-but-melancholic girl in the mid-20s that basically match this fragrance a lot better than me. It's actually a nice perfume with a pretty deep fruity scent in it. When I wore this, I got some compliments, but with my own nose, after awhile it gets me headache. Overall, it's okay though it's not something i would buy for myself. It's rather heavy on the fruity side , and i bet you fruity lovers gotta love this.

it's unbearable! Too many fruits....

I was given as a gift from my uncle.It is too old for me to use it.This perfume is not for young girls and the scent is too boring.I gave it to my mom cause she likes the jasmine scent.

my first hugo boss scent.not happy at all,i tried to like it,but cant.it smells gourmand to me,its rich,deep and warm,i dont smell fruity notes at all.staying power is bad 30 mins?come on.its too pricey for it.i spray a lot,maybe 10 times,i dont like it not even for winter.bad buy,will never buy it again.

Beautiful, feminine and soft! Was my signature scent for 2-3 years.. Still love it!

It's a soft, lovely and ladylike perfume. I'd use it for any occasion - from a business meeting to an intimate dinner. It's strange, I know, but I'm just like under a spell of how nicely it's been composed. :)

It already starts in a sparkling and moodlifting way; and this is just a beginning! Soon it develops into something grown-up, elegant and rich... which according to the notes list is simply rose and jasmine... but oh my, how much joy in it! The dry down is also nice and delicate. The scent gets milder, warmer, sensual, yet not too sweet. :)

On me it lasts long - can still smell it on my clothes next morning or even later. Having a hard time to believe the previous reviews, honestly...

PS. My admiration goes as far as EdP only!!! I'm so horribly disappointed in the EdT - it's raw and unfinished, it's like creaking door compared to the sound of viola.

When it comes to the "smell".. Well, it's sort of fresh, citrussy, soapy... and above all it's unfinished. An unbalanced thing. Therefore I dare to say that EdT is just a very different scent to my opinion. Starts off high and stays there, never gets to the sophisticated warmth of the EdP. Which I LOVE about XX in the first place!!!

it's ok... but when my sister uses it it's amazing!!! :)

ok. i've buy a tester. And this is so feminin, warm, sweet. I like hugo.

A really beautiful, gourmand scent. I love litchi! I was worried when I read the reviews and saw so many people complaining that it only lasted 15 min. I have major problems with scents not lasting on my skin, as my body temp is higher than normal. There are plenty of scents that only last 10 or so min on me, however this isn't one of them. Not that is has great lasting power, it typically lasts about 2-3 hours on me (about average). The other thing about this scent is I have to use a lot of it. I typically don't apply more than 2 sprays of any fragrance. With this I applied 6 (yeah, I know. A lot right?) and it was still just barely present. The scent did grow slightly stronger over time. I might try spritzing it on my clothing and see if it holds its scent better, because it really is a lovely fragrance.

I've sprayed it on my hand 15 minutes ago and I can smell almost nothing, just mandarin. Does my chemistry make miracles or does this fragrance last only a bit longer than 5 minutes? I've forgotten the smell already. Why to waste time and money for such deodorant type fragrance instead of creating a masterpiece???

Lo siento pero no me gusta. Cuando lo probé en la tienda me llamo la atención, una amiga me regalo su frasco a medio usar para que lo probara y con mucha pena se lo regrese. Definitivamente aburrido y desagradable.

I'm sorry but I do not like. When I tried it in the store caught my attention, a friend gave me his half-used bottle to try it and return it so sorry. Definitely boring and unpleasant

I love it !!! Just wish it would stick around longer....sweet n fresh....just lovely. I own a bottle of the EDT. version....maybe the EDP will have much better lasting power/sillage, I will purchase the EDP when I run out of my EDT.

Unfortunately wingz85, it isn't just you. I had bought this a few years ago, and I loved it. The only thing was that within five minutes or so, the essense was gone. nothing left but the faint basenotes. I was so dissapointed that I ended up returning it.

Not the best quality, though it could have been nice had it lasted. The initial scent was beautiful. Sometimes I still get that urge to spray it on when I'm in a department store;)ah, it was love, for a while there:)

Fell in love when I smelled this on a magazine sample and then rushed to the nearby store to get one... But I was dissapointed after a while. I could not smell the beautiful things in this perfume. Immediately after I sprayed it on, it went staight to the base note. maybe its just my body chemistry tho

I really like this fragrance,perfect for a young woman,an optimistic fragrance.I can wear this at the office and in the evenings.I have edp and lasts very long.

Very sweet and elegant fragrance...totally, one of my favorite perfumes of all the time!! This is not sickening at all, very fresh, very clean...perfect for special occasions. I recommend this one for ladies that like Femme by Hugo Boss. (you will love it, i promise! )

at first I disliked some particular note in this scent that was too soapy to handle.

after reading a review about its resemblance to almond muffin, i changed my perspective of XX and experienced it in a new light.... and yes I like it now !!!

Strange, after having a look at the composition, its hard to believe what the final product would turn out to be... there is no sign of either almond, or milk, or muffin material... but neither is it floral fruity IMO.

its sweet almond muffin if you may... enjoy !!! It would suit you better if u're a mature woman with a generous dose of professional glamour.

Chilish bottle,Womanly scent!HUGO XX in three words Light,Simple and Safe.For me feminine fragrances by HUGO are not more of a average example then i am not surprising with XX as this one is so far from a Great perfume too.

Not overbearing and Unpleasant but without skill.Fresh and a Little heavy at first.Floral and Warm in the middle notes that i like it but Faint and Weak in the end Like a Common fragrance.I really dont like the bottle design.

Anyway it is a Safe and inoffensive choice if wearning for Everyday in SPRING/AUTUMN weather.I recommend it for the lady who deslike a Strong smell and definitely like a Ordinary perfume.

Longevity?About 3 hours on my skin.

This perfume changes completely according to one's skin.
On me, it becomes all but banal. It's fresh and sensual at the same time. It's light, sweet, and I wouldn't classify it as floral fruity at all.
More as a light floral oriental. Being middle eastern myself, I can tell that Jasmine/Rose/Amber is a must for our scents. You can feel it in the wind, in every corner..
All the notes in this perfume can be felt so clearly. After a couple of hours, the Jasmine/Rose and Amber/Sandalwood are dominant.
Don't dismiss it unless you tried it on your skin.

This fragrance can be described as clean and uncomlicated aswell as soft and pretty. I wouldnt say each note is very distinct, however the overall effect is nice.

I would imagine this would be best worn at work as it is not very aggresive and wont annoy others. I would suggest it be worn during the say in the summer.

Overall this frangrance isnt something amazing but it isnt bad. Its just a nice day to day fragrance. The staying power of this fragrance could be better, you would probably have to spray yourself again half way through the day, that may be because i have the eau de toilette.

Really love this fragrance very sensual, get compliment all the time.

I love this scent. It is very long-lasting on me, excellent for dates and gatherings. It gives you maturity and confidence and also it shows a real woman with a style while you are wearing it. I like it very much and I often get compliments when it is on me.

i agree with ofeliarage, EDP is a better buy then edt! way more long lasting

The EDP is so much better than the EDT & it is so long lasting with great sillage.
At first its refreshingly fruity but soon it settles into a more floral base with subtle fruit hints & the dry down is so warm, feminine & pleasurable.
The EDT does not do the EDP any justice so try the EDP & review it.

This was up for free in our local sports store if you bought over a certain amount of money. I took a whiff and well, I'd say XX is pretty average. It's nice, fruity and appley, which is a surprise considering the bottle and Boss's fragrances in general. And the previous statement was not meant in a negative way towards Boss fragrances, since I like them. :) XX isn't something spectacular, it's nice and easy to wear, perfect for everyday use. I would have hoped for something a bit more hmm "mysterious" perhaps. But overall, nice-smelling, non-offensive, simple fragrance.:)

A lovely, youthful, sunny scent. It's mysterious, sexy, warm, tempting.

This scent is rather sweet and simple. Very fruity,charming and good for day wear. However I am not too sure if fruity and sweet is enough for me anymore since I seem to have outgrown that stage. I am more of a gourmand sweet fan instead of fruity sweet. The blackcurrant is prominent at first but then it smells like soap.It's simple and rather charming but prehaps too simple for me.

I hate this scent, It doesnt work with my body chemistry.After settling on skin, it turned out to be cocunutty & oily. Do try this before getting this one ... :)

it does not smell like something.no particular thing in it, like i can smell it in my laundry softener or anything. too bad becos i love deep red and hugo boss hugo :(

Predictable, pleasant but boring, Hugo XX won't be getting any rave reviews from me.

This fragrance is so light that it takes a lot of sniffing and inhaling to even be able to describe what it smells like.

Hugo XX has quite a simple opening with blackcurrant being its most dominant note. It's fruity yet it lacks that fruity punch which would've given this scent more character.

The heart is just as bland and boring as its opening, with the jasmine and rose creating a scent which has been done and re-done many times before. The floral combination is soft and pretty, yet it has that all-to-familiar soapy quality which I really dislike.

I never got to the drydown because this fragrance disappeared in only 30 minutes. It's possibly the worst lasting scent I've come across so far. I don't recommend this fragrance unless you like to be ordinary.

Sorry, but this creation is not worth to be called a Fragrance. It smelles cheap, synthetic and has no flowery and fruity notes to me. If it disgusts other people while wearing it, I am not suprised... .

Yet, it does not have a depth and it is not memorable," Needs more Litchi current and sandalwood for my skin. however the mens XY is very different mossy green woodsy and yet light. If i was a man I would wear it. Tempted to anyway. How both XX and XY demonstrate mutual attraction is they make a new complimentary scent when brought together. Still have to test this, now I have both testers :D Will try XX on its own one more time also due to 'Imgcas' comment that the scent seems to change daily, and can seem more rich.
So far H.B. fragrance all seem well put together even if on the lighter side,

I was given a sample for this one, my first HUGO BOSS perfume. I like it but sometimes I get headaches smelling it.

Love this one - light, girly, sexy, really happy with my EDP wich lasts all day on me :)

No staying power? It lingers on me forever! Not a favourite but XX is a nice girly springtime frag.

So floral that you can't even notice it. This perfume was made to don't offend anyone. Is a ordinary smell.

This smells so different depending on the day!
I have been wearing it all the week to go to work, and each day it seemed to be a different fragance.
Today it is creamy, even milky, and black currant and rose seem to be the stars. Awesome!
But other days it is just a lot of synthetic and strong litchi.

UPDATE
I bought this one because I got curious about the basmati rice notes. The lasting is ok, depends on the weather: the very first time I tried it, I applied at noon and 5 hours later, it completely disappeared. But today 6 hours passed since I applied it and I can still smell it.

The smell is very nice, I thought it would be powdery because of the rice, but it is floral and sweet. A good EDT to use at work or doing casual things (and also smells nice).
It is very different (in a good way), I don´t know any perfume similar.

Maybe I´ll buy other bottle when mine ends.

im not into totally florals in women fragances but this one is wonderful, very warm, sexy and share really a lovely floral base..

It has good staying power on my skin. The only problem is that head notes last for too much. There's a lot of litchi and it is noticeable for hours but unfortunately sometimes it gives me headache.
I think it works better outdoors, in open air places, because this way it's easier to me to get the floral notes.

I have got good compliments by wearing Hugo XX but I think I won't buy it again once it's over.

Agree, it smells nice but doesn't last long ....less than 3 hrs. Probably just doesn't work wel with my chemistry.

I just got a free sample from my school today :-) The first sniff was Poupée from Rochas, it's really alike. Maybe this one is more soapy, not so extreme, not so controversial. I think the flowers are dominant, hint of mandarin.. Agree that it doesn't last so long.

nice idea, but quite usual result, i like it, but i wouldt change any of my perfumes for this. its a simple everyday scent, and its true that the edt is not longlasting but edp has appeared not long ago, which lasts better

Bottled punishment. What have I done to deserve this? It had the most heavenly smell when I sniffed the bottle, but on my skin it had a bizzare smell of sweat I couldn't wait to wash off.

That is strange... I layer with the lotion and it lasts for me all day. Guess it just works well with my chemistry.

Love the fragnance but it disappears so easily! One hour after I spray it on you can't smell it anymore even if you're quite close. Four-five hours later the smell is gone altogether from the skin. It's such a shame! I wish there was an Eau de Parfum version that lasts longer than the EDT.

This is a fun, flirty fragrance. I happened to stumble across it in Dillards and I'm glad I did. It does start out fruity but isn't really sweet and dries down to a warm, sensual but delightful scent that kind of floats around you like a cloud. I very much like and enjoy this fragrance.
