Isabela Capeto 2 is the second fragrance by Brazilian creator Isabela Capeto and it was presented in 2008. The fragrance features sea water, lemon, lime, tangerine, freesia, rhubarb leaves, magnolia, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, rose, iris, cardamom, woodsy notes, sandalwood, amber, musk and vetiver.
I got a distinct cannabis top note. I assume it was really the rhubarb interacting with the other notes, but on my skin it manifested as cannabis. Water emerged in the heart, and in the end, it was a cannabis-aquatic, if there is such a thing. Not necessarily bad, just very unusual. I look forward to testing it again!
A true weirdo among perfumes! starts as a nauseating cocktail - unthinkable combination of freesia, salt water and grapefruit peel and scented Japanese erasers.Just when you`re about to run to the shower to wash this nightmare off, it changes it`s mind and decides to dim the lights. The rest of the day it`s mostly a spring bouquet with a prominent freesia and bright, grapefruit accord in the middle. Staying power is good; if you can survive the first cacophony of notes, you will probably like it for not being afraid to be different.
This is, undoubtedly, THE most unusual and unique perfume I have ever tried. It starts with an almost rubber/vanilla note to me, with wafts of saltiness from the crashing waves in the distance. This melds very slowly into a bright, lemony white roses with lashings of lilly-of-the-valley and sparkling jasmine. A very peculiar lack of base notes - they just didn't appear at all on my skin. I just couldn't get used to this, which is so disappointing as I absolutely adore the original Isabela Capeto perfume (which is also unusual, but far more wearable in my opinion).
This is like rolling in the surf with a rubber-suited young man holding a bunch of flowers. It may look good on the movies, but the reality would likely leave sand in places you'd rather not have sand.
An interesting combination of notes, certainly, but save this one for when you are feeling utterly reckless and want to turn the world on its head: bizarre, exhilarating yet really quite unsettling and with a long, salty trail! This could easily be unisex, I think. Perhaps it would actually work better on a man's skin?
