This is a potent citrus/aquatic I have used for years, but have yet to put a dent in the bottle.
A single spritz on the neck is all you need. I could smell this on my clothes for DAYS. Sillage is very high and longevity is 12+ hours.
From top to bottom, I would describe the scent like this:
1: Opening: very short-lived notes. Ozone, water mist, and a strange 'dry-cleaner'citric smell. Pungent, very pungent & not nice at all.
2: Sun-yellow. Mostly citrus but hints of saffron, too. A certain 'sharp' note is noticeable which gives this part a mineralic/salty twist. Yuk.
3: Greenish-yellow. The best part. Afte a couple of hours there's a sun-drenched forest combined with warm spices. Contains an element that reminds me of birch-bark.
4: Dark green. More forest but not sun-drenched anymore. Dark, moist, mossy. A special character is given by the combination of light tobacco and a soil-like note. This fourth part has almost infinite longevity.
I wish i could skip the first 2 notes....they are somewhat repulsing.
If you're a citrus-hater, avoid this at all cost: there's nothing more citric on the market !
If you do buy it, wear it with extreme caution. Just one squirt, or better: mist & walk through it.
Otherwise:
You'll leave a vapour trail when you overapply it. People will get headaches and migraine from you sillage. Entering a train within 2 hours after applying will empty the carriadge within 5 minutes.
For me It's definetly a outdoor summer scent.
I have bought one bottle 8 years ago. At first I used it in the summer. Now I keep it in my car as a expensive carsmell - deodorant.
All together: it's not a bad scent, but there are better scents, way better

Both afraafra and mariotgomez are right. The opening is very sharp, and a little goes a long way (the atomizer sprays way too much). This is in my top 2 favs., the other being Gucci Nobile. I have received more compliments with this cologne than any other in the past 30 years of buying cologne. I've been buying and loving this fragrance since 1994. The majority of women that compliment me know it's Issey Miyake and just love it. And I thought it was my little secret. heheh

The opening is very sharp citrus , not to everyones liking I think, good sillage and longevity and great drydown but the opening...

This is a nice, long wearing fragrance. I enjoy the woodsy notes with the citrus undertones.
