Not sure about all the hate on this one... Usually my clubbing scent and have gotten many compliments with this one. Projection and longevity great after a long night clubbing still noticeable by the person your sleeping next to. Smell is perhaps too heavy at the start but the dry down is a sweet spicy unique smell that is a real killer in my opinion. i have been very happy with this, all just preference i guess.
tried it again today...sickly sweet...yiax!!!
It's warmer, sweet and less earthy than the original Kokorico. I find the rhubarb note interesting, but overall I prefer the original. The sweet and sour accords just don't blend well for me and come off a bit discordant.
AMAZING FRAG CANT BELIEVE HOW MANY DISLIKES WILL GET IT 2DAY KEEP HATING HATERS!
warm.. sensual.. wintry..starts off hard and warms down beautifully..woody spicy sweetish in a masculine way..a clubbing night out sexy perfume ..its distinctive smokey..its not that chocolaty not overwhelmingly so anyway..its a sultry scent perfect for a date or retraction... it reminds me of L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme..its surprisingly old school with a modern twist..its delicious you almost want to sniff it until you eat it ...its a confident... independent scent..a classy masculine gentleman s perfume..
This is similar to the original except the intense fig leave....more refined and sweet....but if we want more chocolate, try l'instand de guerlain pour homme extreme...much much better.
To those who tried this:
How chocolaty is the smell?
it's a very sweet smell, but than I like sweet smells :)
you also don't need to apply a lot. 1 or 2 sprays are sufficient for me.
i've got a lot of compliments wearing it.
someone saying it's bad doesn't know what bad is.
i like it!
to brs:
hahaha i agree!!! but is kind of funny ask for "A Kokorico, please" at the store
I don't get the hate! I think it's a nice fragrance - not a fabulous one but it's not bad at all!
Has anyone tried this one yet?
This stuff will end up on a Marshalls or Ross's rack sooner than you think.
Where the original reminded us of L'Instant pour Homme, this one is terrible and nauseating. It is bitter and sweet at the same time. BPI (Shiseido) I know you planned a whole new ad campaign for this one, but really don't bother... just let it die.
last try to sell "kokorico" with this flanker,
I think they should change this horrible bottle and this ridiculous name,
I'm really looking forward to try this. How can people say they hate the perfume if it wasn't released yet?-.-
I hope it smells a little more like chocolate then the original one (which is a great perfume)
The bottle itself repulse me adequately to not go for it, no matter how the scent is.
We had a guy in neighboring he was bald and his top was always melting red!
@armaniboy: Thanx for the information :) The bottle and the name is so disappointing that I was sure, it's a fake... (although I really like the original bottle).
They could have come up with a better name, anything that is not so cheap, and a nicer bottle (like in deep purple or deep brown, or blue).
@Endymion Hey buddy :D Its not fake. Its 100% real. This fragrance is coming out in September 2012.The tin(tuna) box is completely black this time, and the bottle looks just as hideous as the one in the picture.cheers!
After reading some of the previous rants about this fragrance, I could no longer sit idle, allowing what has been said thusfar to continue to fly freely.
***Kokorico by Night is already caught in the crossfire of much undue criticism, most of it coming from reviewers who haven't even sampled it, which is clear from their reviews. I do agree that it's a bit early for a flanker. Perhaps the house feels the need to silence you disgusted peons (who throw about reviews of the original with reckless abandon) with this latest creation, which these doubters haven't even sampled, because it's not yet available in Europe, let alone in the US.
There's no doubt that Kokorico does bear striking similarities to L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme, and L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Eau Extreme.
What I fail to understand, is how some of the same reviewers can say that they like L'Instant, some even call it a masterpiece, then in the same breath, hate on Kokorico, when they smell almost identical.
And as for those who dislike the bottle, because they say it's 'ugly' but like L'Instant --- that's just stupid. Have you seen the L'Instant bottle? Talk about ugly!
As crazy as it may sound, I bought Kokorico mainly because of its bottle, and I knew that it smells identical to L'Instant. If nothing else, this scent is housed by a chic bottle, which utilizes the clever artistic double entendre of the male profile, and makes a great visual for conversation and debate.

I guess, it's not official but fake. May I be right?
There are sooo many fake flankers on the market. (like Joop! Homme Extasy etc.)
the original is the worst thing ever...
maybe they realized that and now this is much better,i must try this one
