One of those fragrances that, if over-applied, can lead to a disastrous experience, but when you put on the right amount (2 to 3 sprays), it's a fragrance that yourself and the others around you can REALLY enjoy. I love the spicy florals, mint and vanilla. They seem to work well with each other. I would definitely recommend this for night wear. The bottle is also pretty cool.

I'm JUST seeing the Le Male ads... Wow. I now see where the metrosexual comments are coming from. Put the gay sailors on the Lolita Lempicka ads. This is not that kind of fragrance!

I am not sure why "gay" or "meterosexual" come up whenever Le Male is discussed. Is it the fact the bottle is a male torso or is it the AMAZING smell it has?

I wear this a lot. I have worn this since the 90s in college and have always gotten compliments.

The lavender and mint and very strong and refreshing. The base with its spicy and gourmand notes make it the perfect fragnrance. I do not get anything synthetic on me. What a classic. TIMELESS

Nothing like this. To simply state that this one is clean and fresh would be underrating it a great deal. I cannot define this one, but let me tell you it changes facial expressions... in the best way. I was in the mall on a Monday evening minding my business, and a fragrance dealer calls me over and sprays 3 colognes on 3 individual cards, meanwhile hiding the bottles... so I had no idea what I was smelling, but I kept being drawn back to the first card, which happened to be Jean Paul Le Male. Unique, Masculine... somewhat adventurous. Try Jean Paul Summer. I love them both equally. Sounds like I'm talking about children I don't have.

This is the best selling mens fragrance in the world. I wished I understood the appeal. I have never been a Gaultier fan beyond the runway. To say its common is a bit confusing. It is very expensive! It lasts all day. Lets look at the ingredients-Lavender, neroli, and vanilla. It somehow seems everyday.Its just not for me. Too many friends I know, wear it. Great bottle, however.

i love it and i would love it on a man,that s for sure,i can t get enough of sniffing it.i am very impressed.it is sweet and aromatic but still very manly.it is definately a daring thing to wear this fragrance and it s no wonder women love it so much.
i like JPG and le male represents perfectly his tastes.the ''gay'' thing mentioned it s only a prejudice.so what?? the scent is a masterpiece so everyone can wear it.i would like to have it in my collection too.it s purely sexy magnetism.i don t like the opening very much but the dry down is a dream....i m lost in words:d

After I realize I bought one although it called and known as a seniority cloning of 212 sexy men...-*- I found out that under the similarity they 're difference indeed*+*...Both are the same movie but different plot and concept...however all end with the happiness story ^_^ that's all I got from.

yeah this is what i call fresh dont care about unisex, most of my stuff is masculine so this is a nice change...... most definately something id wear when going out or surrounded by women this stuff stands out best cologne anyone could wear

If you don't think women find this scent magnetic, you may want to consider whether or not they actually are women. I've nearly had my clothes ripped off when wearing this stuff.
DO NOT wear around female in-laws.....

Le Male is the pleasure of smelling good differently. Not a boring cologne. And this is not for gays because girls like it a lot. It's not for everybody fragrance. This is just an authentic fragrance! - 212 sexy men & Black XS didn't succeeded.... Sorry for people that are useing these 2 last fragrances...

Today I received sample of JPG Le Male with Versace Bright Crystal that I ordered for my girlfriend. I couldnt resist and sprayed just once on my hand. Now, 9 hours later I can still smell it well so its indeed very strong even stronger than CK One on me. I can't decide if I like it or not. It makes me wanna smell it again and again but its synthethic, strange fragrance, reminds me some very cheap colognes. I definitely dont wanna wear this daily to work, but will try it again just to see if reaction of women will be as good as its hyped on net ;).

I can smell it after 24 hours so longetivity is excellent. Tried it one more time but I can't handle it anymore so I toke shower. Its not my type of fragrance. Too strong and in your face .. Its ok after many (10+) hours but in the begining its sickly overpowering even with just 1 spray, too artificial, oily... reminds me petrol and doesn't fit my personality.

This smell nice and will be a good scent for the winter. Too bad my country is hot year round so I cannot wear this, the bottle is cool though and the advertising is amazing. Like the sailor theme :D! I really don't understand the controversy about this one as well as A*Men. IMO, both smell quite nice and inoffensive. I've seen worse out there with so much praise AKA "everything by Paco Rabanne: Black XS, 1 million, Ultra violet, you name it"

If I meet a man who uses this scent, I will definitely stay away from him. This scent makes guys smell like little girls. A bit too much of that whole metrosexual stuff going on for me. Plus it is way too sweet and intense.

I tried if I could like JPG offerings: Le Male and Fleur D’ Male. These fragrances in my ultimate opinion (whether good or bad) are typical "metro sexual" realities! Thereafter, being a lasting and silage monsters is an impractical feature for insisting me to put them in any sort of regular usage.

Thumbs Down for having these worst fragrances in my collection. I spent a quite heavy price to get them. Worst 2nd Buy in my 75+ collection is “Le Male” while the 1st one is "Fleur D' Male" (yakhhhhhhh!!!)

And after getting these 2 from JPG, I learnt to try at least twice before buying any PERFUME!

Final Conclusion: Only use in which I can put Le Male is to mix it with some sophisticated heavy & spicy fragrance to give a little sweet touch! And unfortunately can’t put Fleur D’ Male even for such a use.

Master Scents

NOT a fan of this one... First smell was from a magazine, and I couldn't bear it. I passed the mag over to my girlfriend (to see if it was just me) and she gave the same reaction... Blah!
If you want to smell different from most metrosexual yuppies at nightclubs, then this is not the scent for you.

This is definitely one of my favourite scents. It just hits you with an aroma that is both dark and heavy as well as fresh at the same time. The most noticeable characteristic for me upon first applying is the vanilla/little bit of mint/almost soapy kind of scent. As it progreses I can see how some are turned off by the kind of chemically scents in there but I think for the most part that is an issue of overapplication. This scent is meant to be worn lightly.

Ok, since making mistakes is only human and rectify them is for those who are wize, I´m going to rectify my previous review. After three days wearing Le Male, I can say I´ve changed my mind, I now can see what a beautiful piece of art it is, the minty start, the cinnamon, the super sexy vanilla, just beautiful. I recomend it, but be patient and don´t be scared, it takes a while to accustom to it.

I definitely agree that this unique perfume (with lots of vanilla in it) is absolutely attractive and irrestistible to woman, but only one very masculine 'males'.

Intensive and sensible, however, modern and warm!
Every man should have one bottle of this scent.
It is powerful and very long lasting!
Im my opinion it fits better with executive or professional men.
It's not a casual perfume for teenagers, for example.
It's sober and sexy!

yeah, yeah, women like this scent... If that is the philosophy, lets all start wearing feminine scents and see the result. Maybe youll get compliments from the ladies, but in the end you will start to feel like one. This parfume is unisex to me, and I think JPG created a bottle in a form of a male body to emphasize that it is actually a male scent; so people wouldnt be confused.

Very strong for 2 hours! Later is smooth , warm, Luxury, luminous, sweet, but flowery. Long lasting ! I like orange blossom, cinnamon and vanilla; better than Carolina Herrera 212 (my oppinion). My No.1 Le Male and A*men!

i don't like this at all... from sweet, powdery scents i love herrera 212 and aqua. for me herrera's house makes it right; and in this fragrance we have pepper versus vanilla. unfortunatly it's devastating war for ppl who wear this fragrance ;/

Really a vanilla and sweet dominating scent. Highly recommended for winter wear or cooler weather. Not really a great summer fragrance if you ask me. Women absolutely love this smell, just use sparingly.

I have realised this is a love/hate scent as with A-men and Dior Homme, but the majority loves it. The smell is strong, fresh, sweet and musky. On some people I have felt the cumin note to much, but not on me. The fragrance is classic but still very relaxed and modern. It’s much better for the evening date than the office.

Le male has a very strong sweet smell which dominates everything else in the room, women do like it very much but i will not recommend for the summer, you have to a bit of a metrosexual to wear it it isn't something you want to buy a macho man!
but i have to say it is a very good and seductive perfume well done Jean Paul Gaultier!
Note: don't wear too much of it!

Wow, this is a really distinctive vanilla musk smell. It smells like the old Arrid Extra Extra Dry roll-on deodorant from the 1970's. (The new stuff smells different.) So, although I kind of like the vanilla, I can't help but think "deodorant" when I smell it.

I would say it is my favorite fragrance for a male. However, I got it for my ex-boyfriend and it would be absolutely wrong for me to purchase for my husband. As much as I love the fragrance, I guess it will be the kind I shall stop by the counter to sniff.
