Le Male Summer 2013 Jean Paul Gaultier for men

Well, going on these reviews, I guess they're going to need good luck! At least the bottle is appealing :)

"The design of the bottles and boxes for this year is inspired by tattoos featuring carp motifs or koi tattoos. Koi, according to Japanese legends, symbolizes courage and determination to achieve big goals, and it also means luck and good fortune."

This smells just like the original Le Male, except a little lighter. Same thing. What's really good with flankers these days? Come on! Make something new!

Proper review
Okay I have been wearing this for a week now and really tested it. I have came to the conclusion that this sucks. I am very very disappointed in this summer fragrance. To me this is a completely watered down and lighter version of the original le male it feels like there has been no attempt what so ever to make this a summer fragrance other than to make it lighter.

That doesn't cut it for me a summer fragrance isn't necessarily just lighter than the original. I don't get any of the green notes mentioned here. I just get a blast of original le male mint opening this then fades into a lot of vanilla slight lavender+orange blossomish middle and just dies into a light musky base really. That is all I get from this I don't no if I am mad or if it doesn't work on my skin but I am very disappointed in this.

The price is a joke for being a summer frag at £40 on top of that I am almost certain that the le male summer is the same every year but with a different bottle which is a marketing stunt.

For me vanilla in this just doesn't work as a summer fragrance. Length and projection is better than the average summer fragrance but le beau male is a far better le male alternative to this. Ck one summer 2013 is far better summer alternative to this, is cheaper and at least they change it every year.

This is just an initial review I will be doing a more in depth one soon. I got to try this one today. It opens up very similar to the original le male. To be honest I cannot find a lot of differences yet between this and the original. After the opening notes the fragrance becomes lighter and greener with the grass notes in there. The base is a nice light vanilla and musk scent.

This fragrance is a lot lighter and slightly fresher than the original but it is still very similar. This is only my initial review and I am sure my thoughts will change over time with more use. check out my website mrproductreview.com
