I agree that this smells like a lighter versoin of Nina by Nina Ricci. It's fresh and sweet and the lemon and cherry seem prominent. It is very inexpensive too, so that's a plus. I don't know if I would ever buy it again because of its similarity to other fragrances I already have, but the apple bottle looks cute next to my collection of Nina apples. I may even consider buying the other versions of this just to collect the apples. :)
its inexpensive but this fragrance smells really good . its sweet and easy to wear . , it reminds me of nina ricci nina perfume.
I like this! This may not be a well-known fragrance, but it smells totally good! It's inexpensive, and it's stays long on me. Smells sweet, but not too sweet. The bottle is also pretty. Man, I love pink liquids :3
I just got this and it smells like Antonio Banderas blue perfume. It is like Nina as well. That is why I got it. I have the Antonio one and it just would not last on my skin this one lasts and lasts for me. I noticed a few reviewers said it doesn't last verywell. I tested it first and it lasted so I got it. It is cheap and really unless you really want the Nina bottle or whatever this is just as good and probably lasts just as long. The mazipan is a little like Jennifer Lopez Live Platinum. This is sweet and foody smelling but as it dries it is smoother and less sweet. Try the Antonio one or Nina. If you like those then that is pretty much what this is. I only say that so you don't go searching for it because it is hard to get and just as easy to get Nina or Antonio's one. Very similar.
this one is ´nothing for me. i think the bottle looks on the picture much better than in reality. according to the notes i should like it, but i don't. to me, it smells artificial and cheap. ok it is cheap, but that does not mean it has to smell like that, does it ?
I like the smell very sweet and refreshing....
i just have it, bought it from online store here in Jakarta. bought it random because it cheap price but surprise with the smell after spray it on my wrist. not long lasting, but hey, no worries because i can spray it as much as i can because it cheap...lol...
It is a very light version of Nina by N.Ricci, smells good but the lasting power is bad !
The previous apple version is all about fruitiness and most of all - the apple :-)
Light, inoffensive, sweet.
Good for any weather and could appeal to teens and ladies in their 20's.
I am desperately looking for a new Amore Mio version, I am dying for the one with marzipan note, as seen in description above.
If you have it for swap, please email me!
Fresh, sweet, young and girly. Last long on clothes but not on my skin. I spitz it on my wrist and i barely smell it the next 2 hours.
yeahh!!! finally i got it!!!
really love the smell
UPDATE:
[ I got it finally! If anyone wants it, PM me. :) ]
The only thing it has similar to the first edition is the name and bottle. The scent is totally different. No more apple. Even though I wished it was the old one, I actually like this one.
Its sweet and crisp, gourmand but a fresh one thanks to the lemon. I get all the cute notes listed and the blend is really pretty.
Its great for its price and everyday, casual wear. Lasts well on clothes (6 hours +). On my skin it blossomed nicely through out the hot day.
Overall, a youthful, likable and tasty (un-cloying) scent.
4/5 stars for being affordable with good quality.
Edit:
Not at all like Lempika - as some people say its a rip-off, like jeanne arthes cobra copied poison. Lempika is heavy, amore mio is light and they smell different. Total opposites.
Got it! This is lovely! A beautiful sweet and sour cherry scent (the earlier green version I had was a green apple scent)! The white floral notes are present but subtle and blend well with the tart notes of cherries and blackcurrant instead of overpowering. This scent is the olfactory equivalent of my favorite candy: sour cherry strips! except with whispers of white florals in the background. As it dries down, the scent gets less gourmand, the sweet-sour cherries soften, a bitter nuttiness from almonds appear, and the white florals become more apparent, it becomes more of a floral or fruity-floral the longer you have it on, and less gourmand/sour-candy. This scent is fresh and suitable for spring and summer days, but its also ultra-feminine without being syrupy/cloying like most gourmands out there...I'm really enjoying the sourness of the cherries, and I can't stop sniffing my wrist, kind of disappointed that it is starting to fade (been an hour since its sprayed on). The sillage is very impressive for its price though, you can't offend anyone with a scent like this. Teens and young women would especially enjoy this, very playful and romantic.
Edit: Its not perfect but no complaints so far, this is a lovely and unique scent at a very good price (might be a cheaper copy of bs's midnight fantasy or ll's forbidden flower...would have to test them and find out), longevity is around 4 hours, with a good sillage for the first 2 hours before wearing closer to the skin. This is your scent if you love sour cherry notes.
I owned this as a young teen! That was back in the late 90's...Yes, it was green and not pink...it was a very nice and fresh, crisp sweet green apple scent...synthetic yes, but I don't care, it had the perfect balance of sweet and tart to my nose...and heck it's much more wallet friendly than other synthetic green apple scents out there! Donna Karan's Be Delicious (didn't like this one, too sour) and Van Cleef's First Bouquet (liked this, but overpriced for what it is) seem like plagiarized versions of Amore Mio, Amore Mio came way before them! And indeed this is a hard to find scent! Especially the green bottle version...I miss that one. This one must be the reformulated version...I'd love to try it to see if it still smells similar to the one I owned 10+ years ago...(off topic book mark: this is my 100th review yay :p)
I think I will make a point about this fragrance - why bother to release it if it is impossible to find anywhere??????
The notes seem to die for :-) but it is not possible to find it anywhere at all!
okay, thank you fragrantica for adding this but I think theres something so wrong about the info, not at all what I remember it to be. The one I had was a green liquid, totally different colors. And the smell is a very subtle sweet green-apple smell. hmm....? this is really weird....I have info from other websites that says really different too.
@mad-lainey - the same as many other fragrances on fragrantica.
