Dark Sapphire by Jette Joop is a oriental floral fragrance for women. Dark Sapphire is a new fragrance and it was introduced in 2008. Top notes are mandarin orange and star anise; middle notes are heliotrope and rose; base notes are sandalwood, amber and musk.

Dark Sapphire is an interesting scent. It's a very subtle scent & lies close to the skin on me but it does last all day.

The Mandarin & Star Anise are the first scents to come out, followed by the Rose & Heliotrope. The Mandarin is not overpowering - none of the notes seem to overpower the fragrance - they are all equal to each other.

Dark Sapphire seems to settle down into a citrusy vanilla type scent when the basenotes come out.

There is a tiny bit of sourness which is perfectly matched with the vanilla.

Very interesting but quite subtle, but I recommend that you try it before you buy it to see if it's your thing.
