I think this juice contains that kind of musks I cannot stand, the one which spoils for me quite a number of frags. One can find it in cheap celebrities frags (Christina Aguillera), but also in frags of consacred house "of trust" like BVlgari (BLV, Jasmine Noir) and Kenzo (Flower and Amour, all variants). So this is another juice I might have MAYBE liked it if not these musks. Apart this problem JS SD is very neutral and inoffensive. I can distinguish something tropical, bergamott and cedar, which is not at all spectacular. If I want a warm tropical frag for the beach, I must say i would rather choose Monoi de Tahiti from YR, which contains in addition no alcohol and just explodes with tiare flower.

Have a 30 ml (1.0 fl oz) to swap if any interest

Hm this is more off a body splash then a perfume on my skin. a summer fresh fealing , hot skin, tropical juice, a refreshing warm scent.
at first when i spray i can hardly detect anything. i have to smell realy close to smell anything at all. there is a slight masculine feel at first. then it settles more into warmer more feminin stuff. i can smell this notes, chocolate , vanilla , frangipani, bergamot ,woody notes and a slight hint off sweet passion fruit. a nice enough blend if you want to smell nice on the beach or in a realy hot hot weather. But imo this is a bit boring and weak for a perfume.
nothing special

I love sun delight. It's very soft, sweet and I always got compliments when I was wearing it.

i think it is sweet and powdery. i agree that it has nothing in common with the original sun, but i to me it isnt a bad thing. it is one of my favourite scents. it lasts all day long and it is really inexpensive.

I couldn't find much resemblence with the original Sun. I found Sun Delight way too sweet-watery and not pleasant.

I like it, but I must admit the scent is very soft and stays close to skin.
It's sweet, a kind of gourmand oriental maybe. Very feminine, soft but a bit boring. Unfortunately my sample comes to an end and I have to buy a bottle :D It so happens that chocolate with frangipani and vanilla are pretty here, even though the fragrance doesn't develop much. I find Kenzo and 5.40 p.m in Madagascar similar to Sun Delight (even the bottle is in similar colours), but Kenzo's fragrance has much better sillage and lasting power compared to Sun Delight and smells better, high shelf ingredients... A bit similar to Sun Delight is also Puma Animagical, but that's a lower shelf.

I got this fragrance as a birthday gift in far 2006, so I've thought I should review it before it gets finished (just few mls left).

Sun Delight, as the name itself suggests, is as first a delicious and really pleasant summery fragrance.
I've learnt to know and appreciate many of Jil Sander creations for their soft and not overwhelming approach, and this fragrance is not an exception: yes, it could vaguely remind me of a suntan lotion (not the tanning oils coconut scent, of course), but I mostly perceive something like a gourmand attitude in the whole developing of this EDT: Sun Delight recalls those exotic juices one could drink on a July late afternoon by the sea, while the marine breeze caresses your skin and the sun leaves its last rays on the sand.

The fragrance welcomes me with an energizing and pretty intense opening of bergamot and passion fruit (whose smell, to be honest, I didn't know before discovering this scent and reading the olfactive pyramid).
Citruses sourness tends to last few on my skin, gently evolving into a sweet and fruity vanilla cream blended with frangipani petals and hints of chocolate that finally brings to a vanillic-musky drydown.
This juice definitely belongs to the group of soft and casual medium-sweet fragrances: it doesn't necessarly mean poor sillage/longevity, but I can only detect weak trails on me after few hours (maybe that's due to the fact it melts with my skin and the body lotions I use to wear).

In the end..this is not a "wow" scent in my collection, but I know I'm gonna miss it. I'm sure.

Plus: Sun Delight is - a bit surprisingly - the most complimented summer scent I've ever had/worn :)

I liked it at first, but not any more. Swapt it.
It is a pretty sweet scent, a bit of a harsh sweet scent. At least that is how it starts out, but it doesn't take too long to settle down. The lasting power is not that great, but then it is an eau de toilette. I didn't liked the choclate note in it. I think that is what made it a bit too harsh.
I dont think it is a summer scent because it is too nauseating deep/ sweet.

I'm glad I got rid off it :P !

Agree with nathalieZ -it smells like a suntan lotion (no, these can smell great sometimes - actually it's more like self-tanner/bronzer). It has synthetic feel to it, however not completely unpleasant. I can understand how people might like or even love it, but I say - no, thank you!

I bought it after it was launched, it was love at first smell :)
I was living in Germany/Stuttgart at that time and I wanted to have the feeling of being at the beach in that dry city and even looking at the bottle was enough to feel the spirit.
When I wear it I feel like being at the beach at sundown, and wearing a light white dress and going to a beach party, latin music in my ears and sand and tropical coctail scent on the air.

I spray it usually on my neck close to my hair and I always draw compliments, once a night in the club with a big group of friends someone grab my hair and smelled it and said that I smell terrific.

Always have a bottle in my collection. Definitely love it!

It is a different scent...almost like a suntan lotion?? I get the frangipani, and I am not sure I am crazy about it..but the drydown is quite interesting...so I will have to review it after I have worn it for a while!!

While it didnt make a big impression to me at first , I decided to buy it because I found it simple and sexy.. However, when I have it on me, people always ask me what I m wearing so I guess it is quite impressing after all!

I love this perfume! A warm fragrance for summer, but i like to wear it in winter too.
In the beginning you can definitely notice the citrussy smell of bergamot, but that disapears after a few minutes. Then the frangrance is becoming warmer because of the vanilla and chocolate. The dark chocolate is really prominent in this perfume. Thats the reason why it reminds me of axe's dark temptation hehe

Sundelight is indeed a bit sweet, but the woods are keeping this fragrance from being too sweet(i hate all the super-sweet-synthetic-drugstore perfumes you see a lot nowadays).

Sun delight vs original sun:
Both are warm based fragrances (vanilla), have a 'creamy' smell and contain bergamot but i think that is were the similarity ends.
The opening of the original sun is a bit too strong for me, but i can handle the sundelight. Thats the reason i prefer this one over the original + many people in my country wear the original sun in summer so its nice to have something different ;)
