A beautiful tuberose fragrance. Jo Malone's Tuberose is like Fracas' less showy, but equally assertive, younger sister, and is only a distant cousin of Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower.
The initial notes are slightly sweeter than Fracas, but the power of the tuberose note is very similar.
Simply sensational! I received this as a gift from a friend because she didn´t like it. It´s a small 10 ml bottle from a box set and is actually more like a bath oil (perhaps it is, but it was in the box with the perfumes). It goes on very, very strong and can cause a headache if you apply too much, so only a tiny amount is needed. Once this settles down, it envelopes you in a beautiful oriental floral scent. Tuberose is dominant and also peach. I love it! Unfortunately I think that my bottle may have turned a bit. I hardly wear it at all, so it has been in the bathroom cupboard for a while. The liquid looks a lot darker that the picture here on the website. Tried to buy a new fresh one but they´ve discontinued. So sad.
doesn't really smell like tuberose, though it is quite a nice sweet heavy-ish floral, that then disappears
I'm fond of tuberose scents. This one would be perfect if there were no peach. But it's my own, I don't like peaches aroma at all, I can stand peaches only as fresh fruit. I expected it to be more tuberosy, but nevertheless I like it very much.
I have been on a quest for a tuberose I really love. On my way to finding Frederick Malle Carnal Flower (the best!) I sampled Jo Malone Tuberose. It is a very polite tuberose and doesn't have the heady rotting vegetation smell that some tuberose fragrances have on me. JM Tuberose seems designed as a mixer or compliment to the other JM scents - doesn't really stand on it's own but good with Nutmeg and Ginger or French Lime Blossom.
