Langa is a cool and serene fragrance, whose name means "sun" in Swahili language. It opens with citrus notes of Sicilian lemon and orange, laid on the heart of neroli and a base of cedar and vanilla.

This is one of my basic, everyday fragrances- as a mother of small children, I don't like fuming them with synthetics, that, let's be honest are more or less toxic. Langa is my first full bottle of Jo Woods' fragrances, but I have sampled all of them. The opening is a rather potent blast of something that I describe as "pine needles soaked in citrus juice". That phase is very brief, only about 10 minutes max. Langa very quickly dries down to a very, very faint smell of vanilla, with the slightes hint of that "pine thing" still present. Overall longevity is rather poor, but that is the compromise I ma willing to make for the ralative safety and non-toxicity of the ingredients.

Spicy but fresh. Made me thought about christmas time with those oranges with cloves. And also reminds me of lemongrass but softer. Nice but seem to just disappear after short time. I toke on some more to smell it again, but maybe it's just bad staying power or it's to mild for me?...
