After their fragrance Wolfgang Joop form 2008, the second signature fragrance, Wolfgang Joop Freigeist, was presented. The perfume was created in cooperation with Coty Prestige and it can be expected on the market by February 2010.
The fragrance has a German name Freigeist (freethinker) and unusual composition for editions for men. Perfumers of the fragrance are Sophie Labbe and Alienor Massenet of International Flavors and Fragrances, who created an unusual union of fresh fougere aromas for a man with free spirit. The composition incorporates gin notes in a top, jasmine in a heart and leather and mahogany in a base.
Assortment of Wolfgang Joop Freigeist includes 50 and 90ml edt, 90ml after shave, 200ml body and hair bath and 75ml deo stick.
As for the name of the perfume, Joop says that when he finally tried the composition, he thought: 'What a difficult word for a light fragrance'. Advertising campaign is typical for photographs of men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes, as well as for a watercolor painting on its outer carton. Joop wants to break all conventions with this and to suggest beauty in variety. The petrol blue flacon shaped just like its orange antecedent was created by Lutz Herrmann.

As a men's scent I find this one quite nice. It's warm , fresh and a little on the orange side. Although it is fresh, it's not acquatic or herbal. It's more for men in their 20s and 30s I would say. It's a nice modern daytime and office scent.
@tschiepchen: Seems as if you're the only one who actually likes this one...
This scent is absolutely fabulous and one of my top 5 men's scents ever.
The opening of Freigeist is actually a little too much for me (husband loves it!) but after about half an hour a wonderfully sexy, sweet and warm scent will have developed on your skin.
If you use fragrances like Ferrari (yuck!) or Ralph Lauren (double yuck!), you will probably never "get" this perfume but still I strongly suggest you try it!
Oh, no offense or hard feeling towards anyone using Ferrari or Ralph Lauren's Pony range... to each his own...
Their mediocrity makes them completely inoffensive - a perfect gift for the beloved brother-in-law. Just like anything from the Jil Sander line.
haha, Fengaraki, spot on comment- this is exactly the way my brother in law got his JUMP! ;-)))
Finally, I had the chance today to test it on my body. I was surprised that it smelled so familiar. It took me some minutes, but then it was crystal clear: This one seems to be Davidoff Adventure. One may spot a difference if testing both simultaneously, but not so from a distance.
Conclusion: Not bad, but unnecessary. We already know it! Like a cover version of a popular song.
Correct!! the original one was nothing distinct and newly composed... it was just the mixture of all Joops.. PH, Jump and Go...
Yet another new scent by Joop! ? Still, reason enough to go out to the shops and have a go. The name sounds very chic, so that's a start. Now let's see if the guys at Joop! were able to correct the mistake that the original "Wolfgang Joop" was.
