The perfume Viva la Juicy was presented as a gourmet floral fragrance, which opens with notes of wild berries and juicy mandarin. The heart encompasses a floral blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, while the base notes await us with a gourmet rhapsody of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines.
The perfume arrives in a typical Juicy Couture bottle with a charming ribbon of fuchsia colour, as 50 and 100 ml EDP, as well as roll on edition in the amount of 7,5 ml EDP, appropriate for your purse.
Besides the perfume, the collection includes 200 ml rich, luxurious body cream, 250 ml bath and 250 ml body lotion. Viva la Juicy was launched in 2008.

The first time I smelled this I knew it was calling my name and was my signature scent. I have a friend who wears Channel Chance as her signature scent and I wanted a perfume that smelled just as sexy but not the same one, well Viva La Juicy is it. I feel that this perfume encompases the scent of an extermely sexy woman. This perfume demands attention, if some girl doesnt like you, as soon as she smells this out of suprise she will automatically compliment you. The only thing I hate about this perfume, is that it is so common and I wouldnt be the only woman wearing it.
I fell in love with this the first time i smelt it
Hmm... from where to start? This was a blind bought for me. And I usualy don't go for that kind of purchase. Basically, I start blind buying when I join Fragrantica community, based on all wonderfull reviews that I have been reading here. And this was my third purchase of that kind of type. The first two was successful, but this one.....I'm not so sure :(
If I was in a parfum department I would never buy this one. Usually, I like sweet and fruity, gourmand fragrances. But with this one all I can catch is deep floral scent, which is so light on my skin and with no long lasting power. Strange, because most of the reviews claim, that this fragrance is very long lasting and almost screaming.
I completely miss the juicy mandarin, wild berries, caramel, and vanilla which normaly I love in my parfumes. Maybe, all I can catch is some floral sweetness.
For me this is more like a grandma parfum. Sorry, but I'm 36 and I don't feel comfortable with this one. And I can't connect the youngest of you with this one too. I don't like to categorize parfumes by age, but this is how I felt. I hope I have not received a fake product , because I really wanted to like Viva la Juicy so much...
I reall love this fragrance. It's sweet but not overwhelmingly so, I feel like I could wear this comfortably during the summer and not feel like I'm drowning in syrup. It is a common smell, but sometimes things are popular for a reason. When my grandma needed to switch it up and take a break from her normal Georgio she would always reach for this. So, for me, this scent also brings back sweet memories of my grandma. Because of this I feel that fragrance doesn't have a set age. If you like it and it works with your body chemistry then enjoy it.
A very, very young fragrance - wear this over the age of 30 and I'd think it would be a bit silly. It's also nothing too original or groundbreaking. But still, a great frag. Top notes are 100% fruit, until it dries down into a heavy praline. Not really suitable for summer imo as it's so heavy and warm. I'm glad to have it in my collection
Viva La Juicy smells like a pink fluffy woman who likes to stand out in the crowd in a puffy pink cloud of candy and ice cream aura . I saw a few review below me mentioned about being a "fake looking woman who ages ungracefully" or "prostitute baby". I don't know about aging ungracefully, but this scent smells very ostentatious to me. It's like a highly decorated christmas tree. I think it's a beautiful fragrant as long as people don't over spray it. It's a nightmare of a headache in a bottle when people abuse this fragrant or use it to cover body odor by over compensating perfume for poor personal hygiene. Sadly, I see many many girls make this mistake because they love the perfume so much. They believe more is better. The majority of the women I know of that wear this fragrant usually are pretty, youthful, sweet, and gentle souls. They are as sweet as this yummy gourmand. They are the nicest, happiest, and fun loving people I have ever met.
I'm really not a fan of Juicy frags, to be honest, but I just can't help myself on this one. I wore it a few days ago after going about a year without wearing it. Man was it incredible! I don't know why but I felt so yummy and sexy and it didn't come off as too sweet or anything. It was just right. It made me glad to own it again and I don't think I have it a fair chance because it's sooo popular, which is a bit annoying. But overall I think this stuff is great! It's sweet, floral, sexy, delicious, and easy enough to wear for any occasion without much fuss. I like easy to wear frags because I can just spray them on at a moments notice when I can't decide what to wear! I'm very happy with this one :)
First off, let me say that fragrance doesn't make someone tacky or juvenile; behavior and attitude do.
Now on to the review:
This fragrance opens up with so much gourmand vanilla caramel should-be-sticky-it's-so-sweetness, and it's almost too much for me.
As it dries down, it softens with jasmine, amber and sandalwood. Still sweet but more sultry.
It's not "elegant" perhaps, or "refined", but that is okay with me. My husband has a sweet tooth, and he really likes this.
For me, this is a good fragrance for cool, rainy weather. It smells cheerful.
I will not be reaching for this one in the summertime, as I think it will "grow" too large in the sweltering heat.
Happy sniffing, everyone!
The floral and vanilla notes last longest on my skin. But the balance with the top notes of mandarin make it appropriate for both day and night wear. Versatile fragrance, my only disappointment was that I only noticed it lasting about 2 hours.
this is my second review of this perfume..i received this perfume last week...when i spray it on my skin,i get a lot of sweet mandarin orange with warm amber, caramel n vanilla and also a little bit powdery that came from the white flowers of gardenia n jasmine...the funny thing is,i don't get any berries scent in viva la juicy...
but then,i smell there's like something left in my nose after i sniff my skin..it's like a cool n refreshing scent yet the sweetness remains in this perfume.it's very nice.
my first review was different...that was the moment where i sampled it in the fragrance department..the sales assistant sprayed it on a piece of paperstrip...
anyway, this is all about skin chemistry issue...
When Cady in Mean Girls spoke of the infamous Regina George's perfume which smelt like a "baby prostitute" I think she meant this. And yet I love it. This is a scent which just smells like you would expect Barbie to wear, all hot pink and sweeter than candy. This starts off really bubbly and syrupy. It has that gloopy feel that all honeysuckle based fragrances have in the middle, and it is really ridiculously sweet. It is not gourmand in the sense that it smells like no food in particular, and you wouldn't want to eat this...but it is still very sugary and sweet. Many celebrity fragrances have tried to copy this, Justin Bieber's someday and Nicki Minaj being some, but they lack that Va Va Voom top note which contains the bubbly juicy gum-like vibe.
Overall a trend setting fragrance which teens and anyone who loves very sweet perfumes will love.
I was at the mall the other day when I saw this really fake woman walk by. You could tell she was aging ungracefully as she had swollen lips from injections, obviously fake boobs, platforms that a high-schooler would wear, dead bleach-blonde hair, and extensions that were peeking through. I mean, she was a nightmare of a woman refusing to age gracefully. And I could smell her drenched in Viva La Juicy.
4 days previously, I had bought Juicy because my boyfriend loved it. But as I wore it, I couldn't get past the way I associate the brand. I associate it with trashy tacky people. Not the fragrance, necessarily, but just the Juicy brand. And so I returned it. This woman reaffirmed my position. This perfume is worn by everyone, you can smell it everywhere. It has become unoriginal and, in my opinion, made a name for itself with trash and teenagers. Sorry to those who love it. I just don't.
This is a sweet, yummy, scent with a hint of citrus. Really playful and cute.
I got this for my 12 yr. old (now 13) daughter. We all love it on her. I'm a pastry chef, and she loves how it reminds her of some of the desserts I make. The scent stays on her clothes even after washing and drying. Not great for a sweaty day in the sun though.
*Initial thoughts [might update after more testing]
I sooo wanted to like this because I love the bottle and the notes looked interesting but the scent itself... hmm... Kinda undecided about it. It's definitely not caramel, it's not sweet in a gourmand sense and it's very 'perfumey' to my nose. The most distinctive note would probably be the mandarin although again - a very perfumey interpretation of mandarin, not gourmand or true to real scent. It's kind of nice, it smells rather mature feminine rather than young and girly. It's not something I'd go WOW about though the more I wear it, the more I like it as the sweet notes become more prominent but it must be said that it didn't impress me as much as I wished and I imagined it to smell quite different.
I thought it might smell sweet but light - in the sense that there would be caramel somewhere in the background and it would have the fruity floral notes at the front but it's not like that at all. It's more just tiny tiny hint of caramel, some chemical note, something about it gives it a 'hairspray' quality scent. I'm not disappointed as luckily I only bought a sample :)
I have Viva la Juicy in the rollerball version. It was one of the first perfumes that I was given, and when I was about 12 years old. Back then I would roll it everywhere.... and now that I go back to think of it I must have been a walking headache. I made myself sneeze quite often. It is quite strong, and now, 6 years later, I've found that a TINY dab on the wrists and behind the ears will suffice if I take this out to wear. It lasts for a LONG time and a little goes a long way!
Viva la Juicy is very sweet and girly in a loud way. It screams "LOOK AT ME!" and turns heads - makes people wonder who is the one wearing it in the room, and one either loves it for its glorious sweetness, or hates it because of the headaches and sneezes it may induce.
Despite the individual notes listed, I personally cannot pick out specific ones in this blend. It is a very sweet smell in general, and not a food-y scent at all even though the notes listed include caramel, praline and vanilla, and people who love sweet, girly, noticeable scents that draw attention - this is a must-have for you.
Well, yesterday I had a really bad perfume day.
After being disappointed by Tom Ford Black Orchid I tried the universally famous Viva La Juicy and to my surprise it was a no-no!!
OMG, it was like pure aldehyde, like smelling into an organic chemist's dark glass bottle... so artificial and just so linear I couldn't believe my nostrils.
I know I will not receive many balloons for this entry, but that's how I saw it.
I got this as a Christmas present from my mom last year. I actually never got to use it until a week ago for a dinner out. I must say that this perfume has a very attractive scent. I sprayed it on about 4 times, and it's not overpowering at all. I will definitely purchase when I run out.
I've sampled VLJ in the shopping mall 2 weeks ago.initially,i thought the smell was going to be heavy like the 1920's perfumes n offensive.but i was wrong about it..VLJ smells really good..it's one of a mature sweet smelling fragrance,IMO..it made me sniffing my wrist n the tester strip over n over again...it has the combinations of sweet-floral scents..
I love VLJ's middle n base of notes..i do smell the gardenia n jasmine flower by which,it makes VLJ smells creamy, lovely n a bit powdery..as it dries down,it turned out to be sweet and delicious.i am very happy that this perfume has pralines n caramel ingredients after i searched at fragrantica..but i love pralines the most.according to my brain interpretation, pralines smells soft, chocolatey with a hint of iced-sugary note..whereas caramel contributes depth, warm and sensuality to VLJ.
VLJ has a chic-looking bottle..it has a big pink bow which is beautiful n attractive.it also has the couture emblem/logo which to me,is a sign of majestic n domination.it adds elegance to this perfume.
However, the longevity of this perfume is moderate by which,it stays on my skin for about 3-4 hours.
Overall,VLJ smells wonderful n i can't wait for the perfume to be posted next week!
Viva La Juicy was one of the first perfumes I ever purchased when I decided that I wanted to get into perfumes. I bought it based on its popularity and reputation when I knew very little about perfumery. I can see why it's popular as it's a pleasant, not overwhelming scent that can be sprayed 4-5 times without overwhelming anyone. To me, I get mostly the mandarin orange note, a sweet note (but not distinctly caramel), and light floral notes. It's a very light, sweet, orange scent. On my skin this perfume lasts 4-5 hours and on my hair or clothing this can last all day. It's wearable at work/school and I feel like it's great for casual, daytime use. It's also a perfume I can wear year-round due to the sweet notes, but since it's not sickly sweet it goes great in the summer. I'm still wearing it into the warmer months and wear it through the summer. My only complaint after becoming more diverse in my taste for perfumes is that Viva La Juicy is a very normal perfume and smells a lot like a lot of popular perfumes now a days (namely Sexy Little Things Noir Tease and the Beib's Someday).
I had a small sample of this. I do like it, but at 23 I can't really pull this one off like I would like to. It would suit 18 or under best. I feel that this fragrance is well balanced, and great quality, just not for me. If you're a teen though who loves gourmand and slightly flowery scents, try it out!
Have you every seen someone on the street who looked nothing like you and found yourself facing the overwhelming desire to follow them home to see what their bedroom looked like? Okay, perhaps that comes off as a little voyeuristic or perverse, but it's nothing more than human curiosity! This is the sensation delivered by Viva la Juicy.
The first time I encountered Viva la Juicy, I did not actually get to smell it. It was in fact, on the bedroom dresser of a complete stranger.
NO, I did not follow a stranger home and then sneak into her bedroom. My boyfriend and I were visiting his sister, and she let us stay in her roommate's bedroom while she was away. I had never met the girl before, but I was taken aback by the unabashedly normal-girly character of my surroundings as I tried my best to "make myself at home."
There were Hello Kitty decals all over her walls, pink curtains, pink cheetah print bedspread, an enormous fluffy white elongated teddy bear in place of a pillow, and on the dresser in front of the mirror, was Viva la Juicy. For some reason, I could not muster up the courage to ask my boyfriend's sister if I could sample her roommate's perfume. Every time I tried to ask, my tongue was tied. It was like being in a museum display dedicated to the contemporary, all-American twenty-something. It was right in front of me and yet I couldn't interact with it.
When I returned home and bought a mini of Viva la Juicy at the pharmacy, I tried it out and it totally met my expectations. It was just like being back in our host's bedroom. Sweet, fruity in a pineapple body mist kind of way, thoroughly synthetic, generic, vanillic, CGI florals throughout, and in it's own way, pure.
Viva la Juicy is the smell of the idea of present day America. It's like an olfatory "melting pot". Sure, everyone's idea of America is different, but there is something so profoundly vacuous and romantically generic about Viva la Juicy, I have to admit it's extremely compelling. It doesn't smell specifically like caramel or fruit or flowers. It smells like a young girl with blonde highlights and Ugg boots over light grey leggings, who is concerned with the present, the evening to follow, her birthday, and not much else.
It's like the adolescence... hell, like the LIFE I could never have (and don't actually want to have) in my country. I refer to it as "The Jesus Camp Fragrance" when talking about it with my boyfriend. I call it that because it is an intense youthful expression of an ideal that I could never come within miles of attaining. It's a lobotomy in a bottle. Who doesn't occasionally wish for the relief of a temporary zombification? Is that not the present-day American way? I can dig it (if only in the form of a fragrance).
Like America itself, Viva la Juicy knows no season, nor occasion. It's suitable to wear while doing anything your heart desires. I'm just happy that at last I finally get to follow the stranger..
home.
Viva La Juicy is so beautiful!
Delicious caramel, sweet praline, juicy mandarin orange, delicate florals and vanilla. I really love this, it is gourmand heaven :) It lasts around 6 hours on my skin and has great sillage.
I have received alot of compliments from my friends, "You smell sooo yummy!" or "What is that amazing smell?!"
Overall, a beautiful gourmand fragrance. Perfect for day/night, casual/formal and any age. I think this may be my signature. I highly recommend to sweet lovers!
I actually wanted the limited edition of this perfume (Viva La Juicy La Fleur) but ended up getting the original. The limited edition is much sweeter but this one has more of a vanilla essence. I actually prefer this perfume now since it's longer lasting and the smell stays and other people can smell it off you even when you can't. I have recieved many compliments when I where the perfume. I would definitely recommend it.
Very warm and sweet without being too sugary. Don't get the solid compact perfume though, some bright spark decided it would be a brilliant idea to put glitter in it.
I found a 1oz bottle of this at Ross and bought it blind because I have heard so much about it. It's really nice, I wish I had the sophisticated nose that could pick out certain notes, but I lack that talent :). I will say that I get kind of a floral sweet-woody scent. If I had to guess the notes I was picking up, it'd be the jasmine, gardenia and sandalwood. I wish I got that caramel and chocolate everyone is talking about because I think that'd be amazing, but I dont. For me it's mostly floral and sweet, a bit creamy. I did find something a bit "off" and looking at the notes I see it has that pesky gardenia that always goes weird on me. So that's my fault, not the perfumes. Over all I like it a lot, it doesn't last that long on me though. I recently test The Viva La Juicy La Fleur and REALLY loved that. The gardenia in that one seemed to mind it's own business and I found it to be a happier version of the original. Unfortunately it had absolutely no staying power so I won't be buying it. If I happen to find it in a discount store in the future, maybe.
This is a super sweet fruity/floral - I won't go into notes as I don't distinguish any one in particular but this one is a strong fruity/floral combo that is extremely sweet.
I love gourmet fragrances in general, but this is just too much - maybe it's the fruit and floral together with such sweetness it's cloying. Perhaps either the fruits or the florals (instead of both) with the drydown would have been better on me. I also don't enjoy the caramel notes in this, which I normally love.
Just too much going on with this one for my liking.
I Want it deadly. It Must be great if it's similar to Pink Friday.
Amazing scent. Sweet, Floral, Musky, Gourmand, Fruity, anything you want in a fragrance, you can find it in Viva La Juicy. Lasts FOREVER on my skin, too.
don't like the scent...too sweet
I love this but the longetivty for VLJ is extremely weak. I layer with the lotion, and it's gone within 2 hours I constantly have to reapply.
I do love the fragrance, it's very sweet and gourmand I smell alot of the caramel and praline with a hint of gardenia. Super easy to wear and it's popular for a reason...
es tan lindo delicado y perfecto, deja una estela dulce suave moderna, aparte no es agobiante, lindo perfume
Hey guys! Can someone help me please. Im in love with candy, sweet and fruity scents. I have not smelt this before and tempted to blind buy. Can I have peoples opinions on this scent please, and if it would be for me. Thanks

I think the biggest selling point of Viva la Juicy is the gorgeous bottle. The beginning is overly sweet, really. But whet it settles into the skin a little bit, it becomes a very pleasant scent, still sweet but in a nice way. Another thing - I can't imagine myself using this in summer, it would give me headache. Fall seems like an acceptable option for me.
I used to like Viva la Juicy, but I kinda got tired of it. It's definitely not an every-day perfume, I have to be in a mood for it. So I don't know what I'm going to do with the full 100ml bottle I have on my shelf.
GREETINGS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC! :)
I could go on and on about this perfume! it's in my top 3 fragrances of all time. it's one of those perfumes I don't mind spending a ridiculous amount of money on because I do love it that much. the more I wear it the more I establish when I think it's most suitable. don't get me wrong, it's not heavy in any way; but as the weather gets warmer I'm realizing that it may be better in cool weather (perhaps even a summer night with a crisp breeze). I know that time of day or year doesn't matter to a lot of people when it comes to wearing a perfume, it's just my opinion. even if you don't like sweet scents, I think it has the perfect amount of sweetness without being overbearing in the slightest. my favorite frag from Juicy Couture by far.
Somethings not quite right about this scent. It lacks pizzaz, something which the mandarin orange note should have brang to the table, however in this fragrance it is almost non existent. The bottle almost decieved me into buying it but I'm glad I re-tried it first because the first time I tried it I got a very strong orange note (strange or what) which I really LOVED. Now I spray it and it's just 'meh', I get mostly caramel, praline and amber from this which is not what I was hoping for to be honest. If I wanted a purely sweet caramel amber scent I would wear my Jessica Simpson Fancy. This fragrance needs more orange, which will make it more well rounded, fizzy, delicious and more popular. I guess I could always layer it with an orange EDT or something, but I don't want to have to do that with a fragrance that I paid £65 for. A reformulation in my eyes would be a good thing although all you VLJ fanatics will want to clobber me for saying that. Lol
I love this perfume as well! I have found that the 3 Pc. Gift Set ( Eau De Parfum Spray 3.4 Oz + Body Lotion 4.2 Oz + Eau De Parfum Spray .33 Oz ) makes a great gift to a friend or a romantic interest. I have found some good deals on some online perfume stores such as 99Perfume.
Wow! So many reviews on this one! I really love it! Amazing bottle too..very heavy..the kind that you would want to treasure..and love the little accessories it comes with..but the scent is clean, innocent and lovely!
For me, this scent is very over-bearing. For some reason, all the juicys I've tried tend to be that way on my skin. Not for me...I'm more of a flowery, clean type of girl:)
Love love love! Sweet caramel and vanilla... I want to eat it! This smells like a dream... Im so thankful for this fragrance :) I have to say it one more time; I love this fragrance :) haha
I've had a bottle of this for ages, and I just don't find myself reaching for it very often. On my skin, I don't get much of the caramel. It's a good wintery fragrance though - just not something I'm in love with. It smells a little too "high school" for me.
This is my 2nd review for Viva La Juicy:
I recently have found this is indeed a comforting fragrance. just like eating comforting food makes us emotionally feel being comforted, soothed, so yum, so nice!! absolutely love it. (thanks for efforts of caramel, vanilla, and praline)
I do really like VLJ. It is a pleasant, light, sweet scent - lots of sugary caramel, not a lot of fruits or florals to me. It's exactly the kind of safe blind buy for someone who likes sweet fragrances, but save some money and just buy noir tease from victorias secret, they are SO similar and the poor lasting power of VLJ makes it not worth repurchasing for me.
Couldn't wear this stuff because that plasticky note overruled the entire scent on my skin. It smells alright on other people, but since it's one of those perfumes you smell everywhere I'm okay with being unable to wear it.
i had this and i couldn't give it away fast enough, i hate the smell of gardenia, i thought this was going to be all sunshine and lolli pops when i saw the commercial but it is not, it smells like my mean grandmother and all of her crazy floral perfumes from a hundred years ago. they ruined this with the gardenia
I love Viva La Juicy - very sweet with fruity/floral tones. Lasts quite a while and I get lots of compliments! It reminds me of Justin Bieber's "Someday," but not quite as sweet.
I found this sugary mess on sale and bought it, even though I never liked it very much to begin with. The worst thing that could happen, I thought, is that I would simply give it away or swap, if I hated it.
Interestingly, I didn't hate it. In fact, I kind of like it now. It is a youthful sweet caramel scent. The only thing that stops me from loving it is the berry notes: they are very noticeable here and very artificial. The berry notes here are different than, say, in Hanae Mori, where they are delicious and smoothly paired with vanilla. Here, on the other hand, they are very chemical and are sitting apart, refusing to mingle with the rest.
Viva La Juicy, despite its sweetness, gives an impression of a "fresh and unobtrusive" scent. It lasts almost 8 hours on me, which I find to be a good longevity. I'm going to keep it.
i'm addicted to this scent, can't stop sniffing my wrist, however, the lasting power is extremely weak on me, once applied, the scent only lasted not more than 2 hours that upset me a lot!!
I didn't expect to like this so much, I tend to like the old classics. Actually, it's fairly well rounded, soft caramelly floral....I seem to get a little woody smell too. Good standby when you don't want to use the REALLY Good juice. Men seem to like it.
Smells very nice, got a few compliments (while it was freshly sprayed), but it did not last on me AT ALL. Not a big deal. This is not the type of perfume I would die to wear.
LOVE IT!!!!
Bravo. The JC bottles do look very nice. I myself bought Dirty English just for the bottle. The juice is pretty awful but I like having it on my hands. The same happens with Bulgari Man, in this case the scent is full of character, and a rich one.
Juicy Couture VIVA LA JUICY is not all that juicy to my nose. It smells more like a dilute solution of caramel sauce, as though one took a spoon of molten caramel and stirred it into a pan of hot water. The flowers are virtually undetectable to my nose, and the composition seems quite simple and linear. This is probably fine, if you're looking to smell like a dilute solution of caramel sauce. It does not smell either stale or poisonous, so that already places VIVA LA JUICY leaps and bounds above lots of mainstream "caramelesque" scents.
I love the bottle. I hereby confess. I don't care that everyone else thinks that it looks like kitsch. The image is one thing, and the reality is another. These bottles pack some serious heft, which I've found sadly missing in the case of many niche perfumes which deserve to be showcased in a beautiful vessel but are not. Instead, "serious perfumers"--not all of them, fortunately--seem to get all caught up in the confusion according to which bottles don't matter.
In fact, bottles do matter. Why? Because you have to touch the bottle in order to apply the perfume. Just as I do not eat my dinner with a plastic fork, I do not wish to apply perfume from some crappy bottle that costs 5 cents to produce in China.
The Juicy Couture bottles have thick glass bottoms, which is always a winner in my bottle book. Plus the caps are made not of the usual lightweight cheap-o plastic but a heavier lucite material. Honestly, these bottles are nice, if you can look beyond the accessories hanging around their necks--which are, by the way, removable!
I just bought yesterday smell so fruity and sweet, i liked the caramel & vanilla notes but I do not smell it at all :(
I will never be without this scent ever!!! This is the ultimate love of my life scent. It lasts forever and projects like nothing ive ever experienced. JUST HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!
first i notice the scent is soft caramel..and it quite sweet..its very light.also got a yummy smell of popcorn caramel...now i'm thingking of movie
Viva la Juicy opens with a nice explosion of citrus and sweetness. Very gourmand. When it tones down you are envelopped in a caramel and vanilla sweetness which is just delicious. I thought it would make me feel nauseous after a while but no...it is just pleasant. Sweet, but in a lovely way. What a delicious surprise!
I don't know why, I thought I smelled it once and hated it, but I guess I was wrong.
I smelled it again and I was surprised,it is smells EXACTLY like VS Noir Tease, which sadly spilled in my bag(it was full).
I'm really happy, since I can rarely find VS perfumes in my country.
Everyone should own one of this!! U will get compliments and smell yummy all day long. Itz truely a very enjoyable scent!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIUFL!!!! IM MADLY IN LOVE WITH THIS SCENT AND KNOW WHY ITS SO EXPENSIVE BUT I SCORED THIS FOR $35 ON EBAY!!! MY FAVORITE PERFUME OUT OF MY ENTIRE COLLECTION OF UMPTILLION BOTTLES THAT I HAVE. SWEET AND WARM IS ALL I CAN SAY.
For me this fragrance was Love for the first...Smell!!! :-) Just Love It <3 <3 <3
i love this perfume. ;) im not a person to get caught up in labels (there are some really crappy scents out there with famous names on them) so i was suprised how amazing this one was, i had to have it. its a really nice change from the summer florals and men and woman flock to me when i wear it. definately the best for clean citrus.
Ahhh, the perfect all-rounder perfume. Vibrant, young, sexy and yummy. Love me some Viva La Juicy. Best money I've ever spent :D
This is an elegant, fresh floral. It reminds me of Clinique Happy In Bloom and Coach Poppy Flower.
I love the fragrance, but absolutely hate the bottle--gold, pink bow, chains, gigantic crystal cap--tacky overkill. I like to carry my fragrances in my purse, and the cap in particular makes this bottle unwieldy.
When I first smelled this I instantly fell in love. It was like a drug, I had to get more of that perfect, beautiful smell! It was abstract, very very sweet and funny. I thought a few days of buying it, read some reviews, then went to smell it again. And next thing I know, it was mine. I thought that it would have been a funny scent for clubbing, not so much for a day use (I study & work in rather serious field and I don't find this kind of perfume to be appropriate for it). I didn't use it that much, it always somehow got forgotten.
Then I got back to it. I couldn't understand what was the thing that had made me to fall in love with it. First it was too overwhelming, too sweet and the white florals were way too strong and sharp. Not good at all! I kept trying to remember what had been so great about it. But the next step was that it became like the ultimate migraine-scent for me. It's impossible to say anything about the notes or anything, because the minute I smell this my head is about to explode and I start to feel super nauseous.
So dear co-perfume-lovers, please try to remember that even tho you love the scent you're wearing, it might ruin someone else's day. And this is definitely one of those perfumes. So take it easy when applying this for a public day time use!
This is the perfect fragrance. One of my very favorites. It is just the right balance of fruity and floral. Always get compliments when I am wearing this. I highly recommend to anyone!
I've just sprayed this on my wrists about 5 minutes ago and I got a very headachy blast, kind of reminds me of air freshener when you first spray it and inhale loads of the cloud and it hurts your head- it has a very strong chemical smell at first on me.
Now it's settled a bit and juicy is a good way to describe it. Very sharp orange note, like strong orange syrup...harsh.
I bought this in my on-going mission to find my perfect fruit/vanilla/ caramel combo and this isn't close. Now it just smells like I'm waring perfume, you know... nothing particularly special about it.
Shall be back if it dries down into something gorgeous!
EDIT: I don't smell any caramel or sweet sugaryness at all, and I'm having to reeeeeally sniff to smell it now - I smell very delicate faded florals which must be the honeysuckle/jasmine, I don't know I'm not big on florals - and I don't want my perfumes to be delicate or flowery in any way.
I made a mistake! This review is for Viva la Juicy LA FLEUR! I am going to move this post to that site. Apologies to those who thought otherwise.
I highly enjoyed Viva la Juicy and was genuinely surprised that Juicy Couture would create this unique and beautiful scent. Viva is the first where I've found the advertised description matches the actual scent. I detected every note mentioned and enjoyed this "sweet" scent.
I found within the first thirty minutes:
- Yummy berry and mandarin notes
- Creamy caramel and vanilla
- Well balanced jasmine and honeysuckle
The perfume softens:
- More vanilla and caramel, less fruit
- Overall scent stays true as the day wears on.
- Lasts about 3-4 hours on me.
*8/10 rating
*2/10 headache factor. Slight. I sneezed a few times.

I know this says sweet.... but it really isn't THAT sweet. It definitely is the sweetest Juicy perfume. It's classy, sophisticated and a little bit sweet. I do smell caramel, jasmine, vanilla, citrus and the littlest bit of gardenia! <3 it
This is one of my favorites from Juicy Couture. It's so sweet and smells like plastic in a good way. Although from the notes I was expecting something more rich... This fragrance to me smells nice but too many people wear it and it's kind of common. Though it's a gorgeous scent.
It is the most girly scent that I found. It is perfect for a chill girl with the sweetest smile. The favorite part I love is that this scent can have pleasant chemical reaction with your skin. For me , it is sexy in the sweet way.
Today, I sprayed this on myself (two sprays) and noticed for the first time a whiff of chocolate. I thought to myself, "this is really what a chocolate perfume should smell like". But after looking it up, I guess it was the combination of praline (?), vanilla, and caramel notes.
Still, this smell has the right... airy sort of round shape to it, similar to the way dark chocolate smells to me. I've never received a negative comment on this one as it's soft and really not offensive, like the fragrance of a banana. It gives the feeling of a bright cold room.
The only reason I don't love this perfume is that I feel the scent fades too quickly for me.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! I LOVE this fragrance! It's so juicy and sweet smelling. I got a bottle for christmas from my hubby and I am in love with it! I can really smell the caramel, vanilla, and pralines! It smeels soo delicious! This has become on of my favorites!
Smells like a mixture of creamy vanilla, caramel and praline with a hint of sweet fruitiness. Absolutely gorgeous! x
Got this a few months ago from my boyfriend for my birthday because I used to religiously wear Victoria's Secret Noir Tease.
I loved it when I received it!! It's less creamy than Noir Tease, though. Less creamy vanilla and more fruity. For some reason, this is a lot younger-smelling and more hysterical and screamy than Noir Tease, which was sexy and playful.
I wore it for a bit, then realised its problem: it doesn't last!!! This is extremely upsetting because it was really expensive and was touted as a longer-lasting version of Noir Tease, but this does not even last me one full work day! I wore it during my internship and applied 4 heavy sprays in the morning. It was almost always gone by lunch.
I love it, but this does not last. I've since retired it for Angel because lasting power is a priority to me, but I may wear it again when I feel like it :D
I picked up a new bottle of this for my wife, the new is nowhere near what the old one used to be. The sticker on the bottom of the new one says that it is now made by EA Fragrances Co, not Juicy Couture. Does anyone know when this changed?
I have purchased this perfume several times. Has a nice long lasting scent.
I tested this today on a card, not on my skin which I will have to do next time.
It smells fruity and sweet and has that sort of smell that makes you go yum, and keep smelling it.
This is one I really want to add to my collection, I will try it on my skin next time.
It is only one in many perfumes. So grace and difference sensibility of fragrance at all.
Sweet smelling but not too overpowering. Then it dries down to sweet and floral. Very nice perfume. one of my fav
This smell really made me go oooo that is soo nice, this s the next to get on my list as i got juicy eu couture perfume instead, which is just as nice but less caremel and vanilla, love the sweet powdery girlyness of this drydown aswell
I just tried this at the mall today. At first I didn't like it much- I thought it was too strong and smelled kind of cheap and overly sweet-maybe something I could get for a much lower price at Pink. BUT I'm just smelling it on my wrist now and its actually quite nice after a while. I think it was just the top notes I didn't like. Once you start smelling the base notes its really lovely and pretty. I still don't think I would buy it as much as I like the bottle- I think its important to like all notes in your fragrance, especially for something so pricey, but I don't mind it and it's not the worst.
I love this fragrance but I feel like everyone wears it now so it's hard to stand out :( All of Juicy Couture's packaging is beautiful and the perfume itself lasts all day. I would accept it as a gift or buy it on sale, but I wouldn't purchase it on my own since I feel it is popular to the point of being overworn.
First when I tried it in the store, I think I fall in love with it.But when I bought it to my collection, I can just only like it.
It's smell so sweet and delicious suit for young sweet girls.Long lasting but has not much sillage to track.
Anyway I like it.
i actually really dislike this fragrance on me! its very overrated in my opinion. every few girls owns and wears this perfume, i literally smell it on others all the time! i dont particularly like any juicy couture fragrances even though when i read the notes they sound so me...
its not a disgusting scent. very strong on the caramel, vanilla and white florals which i usually love in a fragrance. but this gives me quiet a headache as its very heavy and is too sickly sweet. i find this fragrance very immature, not at all sophisticated. definitely not for me.
I received a sample of this fragrance along with Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday that I was given as a Christmas gift, I was interested in some of the samples I got so I gave this one a spray on my arm. Coincidentally, I thought, "Hmm, this smells a lot like Pink Friday..." And considering I own Pink Friday, I know what I'm smelling. So I tried it the next day just in case my nostrils were just filled with Pink Friday and that was all I was smelling. But yes, it still smelt very similar to Pink Friday and Someday by Justin Bieber. And the reason being, that this fragrance is a very commercial scent that is aimed at young adults and teenagers. Therefore, it is quite a generic fruity-sweet smell. The notes are also similar to Nicki's perfume though. Viva La Juicy has the mandarin orange, the caramel, berries, jasmine, vanilla and woods. There are a lot of similar ingredients in the pair. But it is also very comparable to Someday because of the generic, safe, universe, commercial scent that everyone can enjoy.
I was able to get my hands on a gift set from Sephora for like $45 instead of the usual bagillion.
Inside the set was a 1.7 oz bottle, shower gel and lotion. I have at most used 1/10 of the bottle. I just can't get into it like when I first got it. It is too sweet and sickly.
I usually only use this perfume when I go out to the bar. I know other people enjoy it and that is somewhere you should really smell good for others and not yourself.
The bottle is what gets people because this smells so bad.I tried to like this because everyone else did but it's too sweet and I love sweet fragrances but this is too much sugar. It's just so bad. do you know I tried and tested this several times and it just smells heavy and sickly
I have found most Juicy Couture scents don't work well with my chemistry. However, I do really like this scent. I didn't keep the bottle I had because on me it's a little too harsh and doesn't settle well, so it just ends up feeling way too strong. I think for a person with the right chemistry this would be wonderful as it is very sweet, fresh and youthful.
i got this today and OMG i fell in love! this is my favorite perfume ever! even my mom's LOVES it, it's a sweet and classy perfume, i understand why many people don't want to wear it cause they say most of girls own this perfume, but luckily i live in Mexico and no one owns this perfume! :P i'm not sure if they even sell it here lol also it works different on every person, but on me it's so lovely, and it lasts a good amount of time, i love that it's very fresh, just everything about it! i can't get enough of it <3
also i don't know why on every review i read there's always that one comment saying something smells like 'cheap perfume', like... seriously?! i bet they have no idea what a cheap perfume smells like :P anyway... if you love sweet scents you GOTTA try this!:)
Why all the hype? Nothing memorable, very overrated. That being said I would still like to own it for the pretty bottle.
Was shocked too see that this fragrance doesnt have many very good reviews!!
I am obsessed with this fragrance, it is the only fragrance i have smelt on a random person and asked what they are wearing! Its so light and smells like honey, the type of sweet smell you'd smell naturally on a person that would make you attracted to them!
I wouldnt reccommend this fragrance for a night out but i think its a great light smell to wear during the day!
I dont know if other people will disagree here but the caramel and vanilla seem to play coy on my skin. I get a lot of the fruity and floral notes. On my skin this smells almost soapy and is reminiscent of some yummy shampoo in the dry down. I reach for this when Im not sure of what I want to wear. This is a crowd pleaser if you do not over do it.
Started sweet (and kind of common) but the drydown is sandalwood and sophisticated. I like it a lot! I would buy the small roller ball just to keep it in rotation.
I love the way this stuff smells, I just wish it would last longer. It only lasts half an hour to an hour on me. It is not very strong either. But it smells great and is still my favorite.
I love Viva La Juicy, and it is no surprise to me that it is insanely popular. Non offensive sweet (but not too sweet) with a hint of floral. I suppose one would say it's generic, I think that it's only generic because alot of other perfumes have been influenced by its popularity. I love any perfume that smells like this anyway.
start with : sweet, refreshing smell
end with : a calm and long lasting smell of amber
Suitable for : age from 18 - 23
weather : winter
The first time you spray this on, the first thing that hits you is the white floral part plus the caramel and chocolates. In my opinion, this fragrance reminds me of an air freshener I used to have.
i like this scent very fresh and light but a bit over rated it doesn't last very long maybe an hour and it is so light that i have to use alot so that i can actually smell it.
very nice and girly, but doesn't last =(
Like eating candied fruits in a grove of pleasant, pungently blossoming orange trees. Fresh and sweet but with a strange sharpness. Perhaps it is the honeysuckle? Whatever it is, i like its bite.
I see that most find this to be a very light scent, however i find it to be slightly heavy, which i like. Not particularly complex, but pretty and not easy to define. Very feminine…I like Viva La Juicy and the gigantic gaudy bottle she lives in.
Although this perfume does not last that long the scent is tantalisingly delicious , I get compliments wearing Viva La Juicy more than any other scent in my collection. If purchasing this perfume I recommend buying the larger bottle due to the fact you need to wear a lot to make the scent last but I guarantee it is worth it as you will walk out the house with a goddess glow and turn heads as you go! Viva La Juicy is an outstanding unique classic that I will always treasure and continue to buy. Please juicy make a forever lasting juicy!
I will never understand populiarity of this. Probably packaging is too attractive. But content so common and it just sweet as every second new perfume bottle nowdays lol
I love it, it smells really good.
I seem to not agree with Juicy Couture perfumes. They all end up smelling bad on my skin
I tried Viva La Juicy to see if it was similar to Noir Tease by Victoria's Secret, which is my current favorite scent. I had read many reviews saying that they were similar.
I sprayed on the perfume around noon, and it is now nearing midnight and I can still smell it strongly on my wrist. So the longevity is good.
The first spray was harsh and chemical smelling, and I was very off put, but after a minute or two, it softenend down into an almost mirror of Noir Tease.
Juicy has a somewhat sharper note in the florals than Tease had on my skin. There is almost no sweetness in either of them on me, it is mostly floral.
Where they differ is that the dry down on Juicy is a kind of harsh honeysuckle note that is weird on my skin. Tease dries down into a creamy and mellow gardenia, but Tease doesn't have the longevity of Juicy.
I like Tease better, but I would definately try Viva La Juicy again.
Edit: I got up at five in the morning, day after Christmas to go down to Wal-mart and get a $15 box set of Viva La Juicy. I got the spray, pure perfume, and lotion. Then I bought Viva La Juicy shower gel at TJ Maxx.
I can appreciate the differences between this and Noir Tease more now. The florals are definately sharper in Viva. Some days they seem almost screechy to me. On those days, I reach for Noir Tease. On other days, I want a sharper edge! I still prefer Noir Tease, but I like having Viva around.
Juicy Couture "Juicy Couture" didn't work with my body chemistry with the tuberose and gardenia note also the watermelon. I was reluctant to try anything else by the brand. However,on a whim in Target I sprayed Viva on. I loved it immediately it was warm and sweet. Viva smells sophisticated on me. The scent is linear the the warm vanilla, andamber are present from the first spray. The sweet praline and caramel are mixed in. A great fragrance for me overall.
I compared it to Someday by Justin Beiber, and they are very similar. But Someday is lighter, and this fragrance has sweet notes likeSomeday, but they are more caramely.
I recieved a mini as a gift, and while I apprecciate the gesture, this perfume just doesn't work for me. The odor is very strong and in your face. Viva la Juicy is overly sweet, and a scent where a little goes a long way.
my mini just arrived in the mail today & was anxious to use it. a dab goes a long way! this is potent stuff, cloying & sickly sweet, may cause disturbance lol (the weather is really hot in my country) hence i'll use this only on special occasions where i would like to leave some impressions.
i wasn't expected that i'd love viva la juicy
all i can smell in top and middle notes are sweetness, not disturbing though, because i love vanilla and caramel, their scent are mostly identified as "acceptable" to my nose.
then dry down scent is white flowers, lovely, calm and sexy .. i love it!
Tried this one on today in the store. After wearing it all evening, I can safely say this one is NOT on my list to purchase. I don't get the sweetness in it at all, kind of thought it smelled tacky. And after less than four hours, it's completely gone off my skin. PASS.
I absolutely adore this fragrance beause is fresh, youthfull, sweet whitout being sickening and overpowerig. I found a little bit extrange thtat this gorgeous scent has citric notes, in my opinion it doesn't match very well. One of my faves for sure this is one of those perfumes thats instantly makes u happy, I mean just look at the bottle!!! The lasting power is poor on my skin but very nice on my colothes.
The sickeningly sweet lovechild of Angel and CK Euphoria. I'm glad I only got a sample of this.
Overly sweet and in a synthetic way, it smells like candy and I get tired of it pretty fast
It is all over and lots of people wear it
As for me too cloying for everyday use.
I love Juicy Couture clothes. However, I find their fragrances very overrated. They all smell the same and don't really smell like anything. All I get is the smell of alcohol when I spray JC scents.
I love it! It reminds me the most of amber incense!
HAS ANYONE TRIED THE PURE PARFUM? (THE MACYS EXCLUSIVE ONE)
I want to try it so badly, but i am weary that the lasting power will be almost exactly like the Eau De Parfum. PLEASE someone message me if you have tried it. Please! I can't find any reviews over the actual Parfum. Thanks!
I want this badly after I had bought a fraudulent bottle off eBay.... I will swap with someone for it...I have a full bottle of Armani Code for women to offer for it or Aquolina Pink Sugar. Just look through my wardrobe. I am desperate to have the real deal of this. I have already tossed the fake bottle of this in the garbage of this in the garbage.
Looking at the notes listed here, I thought I would love this and went to the pharmacy today expecting to buy it. When I sprayed it on, however (after testing the many Juicy Couture scents on paper strips first), it smelled somewhat... nasty. I don't know, there's something that doesn't seem to agree with me. Too bad. :(
One of my absolute favourite perfumes of all time! First time I smelled this I thought it was too sweet, but now the weather is getting warmer, I decided to give it another go as everyone was saying it's designed more for summer. I adore this! I thought it might be too sweet but it's definitely not - it's light, fruity, sweet and quite refreshing, and one of the few perfumes I've ever gotten lots of positive comments on. Surprisingly, I find it can also be quite a mature scent instead of being too young and girly. My mum tried this on the other day, and on her it just smelled like a sweet second skin, absolutely gorgeous. Definitely recommend for an all-round crowd-pleaser.
I absolutely love this perfume! I work at a perfume store and out of all of the perfumes, this one is still ONE of my favorites! I currently do not have it because I am trying other fragrances... hoping to find my signiture scent, BUT if I do not find one.. Viva la Juicy will be the one :)
tried it while walking around at the department store. i wanted to run to the bathroom and wash up! yuck! I agree with perfumeluver, it truly is overrated. it smells cheap. it is overly sweet that it makes me sick.
I must be the only one who is not impressed with it. This is one of the most overrated perfumes I've ever smelled, and it's so sweet that it's sickening.
I smelled this at a department store and loved it, but bought another perfume. At Wal-Mart a few weeks ago I bought the mini bottle .50 oz. It smelled strongly like citrus and nothing of what I remembered. I was honestly a bit upset, Or...really upset lol. And to throw this in I had ordered the 3.4 oz bottle off Amazon and was waiting for it while I bought the mini, I was just being impatient. However, when I got the 3.4 oz. I fell in love with Viva La Juicy all over again! It has a wonderful sweet smell from the first spray. I get the orange notes and caramel as well as praline. After it totally dries down it is so warm and smells so wonderful it actually brings a smile to my face!
I just wonder what was up with the mini bottle I purchased that had a different smell....
This perfume is really heavy when I first put it on. Honestly, I can't stand the first 30 minutes of wearing this perfume..It smells awful on me and I can't detect any notes of fruit at all. But after the first 30 minutes or so, I remember why I chose this perfume out of all the others I could have worn. It dries down to this amazingly light, sweet, warm, sexy scent. Because of how mature this scent is on me, I only wear this at night. And I get compliments every time. Love, Love, Love..just hate the first 30 minutes.
Thank God, I didn't buy this perfume. It's not worth the hype. I had a sample of it and it was terrible. The sweet opening is nice but then it drys down into this warm scent which I'm not fond of. My mom even abhorred this perfume. I like most perfumes, but not this one.
Just got a 30 ml bottle of it, it was a blind buy, but fortunately I love it :)I thought about the reviews that this perfume is heavier, but actually it's fresh and clean on my skin. I smell the mandarine and the flowers, but can't notice the caramella- but thats not a problem. Finally a perfume that is really nice on me :)
For me, it's an everyday, easy to wear frangrance.
Actually it was a blind buy because everyone seems to love it. However, if I were to buy it again, I probably wouldn't. Although it's quite lovely, I really think it's overrated.
Viva la Juicy is girly and sweet, but not extremely sweet on my skin, which makes it easy to wear casually. It also lasts a good 5-6 hours. But again, I don't get all the excitement about this fragrance. Maybe my opinion would have been better if I hadn't had high expectations... or possibly if I were in my teens I would appreciate it more than I do.
This perfume is sooo overrated it's not even funny. Everybody and there mama owns this, It's not even worth 90 bucks. I do own viva but it was a gift
I don't wanna say that this fragrance is boring, but the things is: Not only everyone has this perfume, but so many call this their favourite. So maybe my expectations were too high, I thought it would blow me away, but instead, it was just nice, and I am no perfume snob at all. I didn't really get the hype. I think most girls love this perfume more for the bottle(which for me looks quite tacky) than for the actual scent.
This is quite sweet gourmand, it is often compared with VS Noir Tease but I do not see the comparison. Tease is a favorite of mine and while sweet the pear is very dominant, which is why I love that one. I can barely smell the fruits in this one, so if you like Tease for the pear you may not like this one.
This is a very nice but very sweet smelling perfume. I love sweet perfumes but to me this smells a bit too "full". I don't really think its light as many people say. Like it, but don't love it!
This fragrance is very classy and does not overpower you. Loves it!
Very sweet, spunky perfume, maybe too sweet for me. Regardless, its fun and makes you feel sexy.
This is my favorite of the line... It has such a good overall downdry that the notes just stay on my skin and guys say you smell good...I love this perfume it strong on some and weak on others so depends on your oils.
My absolute favourite! This is the only scent my boyfriend likes and I kinda know the reason. It is sweet, yet sexy, very feminine, yet light and with great staying power. I couldn't smelled it after an hour or so, but was assured by friends that it is still there! It is like no other fragrance out there, which I like the most. So it is unique in its own way. I am also happy that you can hardly find it in Bulgaria, so very few ppl own this delight :)
Where are the caramels, vanilla, pralines, mandarin in this?! Are we talking about the same perfume?
I saw it in my local Sephora, and full of joy ran to test it. What a disappointment! It's a faint soapy scent, that could not be felt 10' later on my wrist. It lasted less on paper. It's not sweet, nor is it powdery. It's clean and a bit soapy, but very faint, you can hardly smell it. What is this?!!??!
To think I wanted to buy this blindly based on the reviews saying it smelled sweet and delicious and that it had good staying power. Thank God I could test it beforehand!
To summarize it: very faint, soapy, nothing special.
Delicious. Young. Creamy. Fizzy. Warm. Viva la Juicy is a pretty and preppy rebel teen who loves going to house parties, sleepovers, wearing pink and eating popcorn/ice cream sodas. She is very popular and never fails to make a statement. ALL the girls want to be her. Beware though, her attitude depends on who you are (you need the right skin chemistry or she will clash and turn nasty).
Toffee with a slight hint of coffe and spiced up with a bit of saffron. Not a banquet, but quite a tasty even if light and quite unhealthy meal. I am not that much into gourmand scents but I actually like this one better than the other toffee scents I know. I might be getting used to it, though. I suppose that is how fashion and trend works, if you do not like it at first, you end up getting used to it and later on liking it maybe even a lot. Well, this one at least is not overly sweet and the scent of toffee is modulated. Anyway, the fact that I do enjoy sniffing it off my wrist does not mean that I will enjoy wearing it. It is all a matter of stance: I still find it more appropriate for the table than for my skin, if for nothing else, for the fear of being mistaken for the real thing and getting bitten.
I tried this perfume on recently at my local perfume store, and was glad that I sprayed it onto a piece of card as the smell was revolting. The shop assistant advised me to wait 10 minutes for it to start to smell nice. So I kept the card with me and had a wander round town for a bit with my friend.
After 10 minutes the smell became nicer and with time became absolutely gorgeous!
I wish I'd actually worn it to do the "walk past" test.
I can't wait to purchase this product and try it on a night out <3
i have a viall of this and i LOVE it!!!!it smells like caramel, and im a sucker for sweet scents.it reminds me of winter, because it was the scent i wore most during winter 2011!!i totaly reccomend it!
My opinions on VLJ have changed dramatically over the past couple of years. I was about 16 whe I first got a whiff of Viva, so naturally I was the key demographic. I loved the juicy, flirty sweetness and I begged my mom to buy me a bottle for Christmas. She did and I rejoiced. But unfortunately the more I wore it, the more I couldn't stomach the syrupy caramel.
On me Viva intensifies, warms up and turns into something that smells akin to strawberries dipped in caramel. It didn't take long to lose its hold over me and now I can't smell it without a rush of nausea coming over me. So now I have a mostly full bottle that's been sitting in my bathroom untouched for over a year. It's almost tragic, what a waste.
My final thoughts:
It's incredibly popular but I think its more style than substance. Now I find it immature and a bit obnoxious. Maybe I can find a high-schooler who will enjoy this in a way that I can't anymore.
I really really like this scent but I think it's a bit "overrated" . I'm not being mean or anything , I'm just saying what I think about it . It was a blind buy for me ... The bottle is FIERCE but the smell ain't something "extraordinary" .
It's not THAT expensive but it should cost less money .
But I still like it :)
I love this! It's ooey-gooey, sticky, creamy, yummy!! Lots of strawberries, buttery pound cake, and dulce de leche. Considering all the "edible" stuff on the market today (Bieber, Wonderstruck, Fantasy), this one stands out as a well-rounded, non-synthetic scent compared to others of its kind. I can actually smell some inidividual notes instead of just a mess of stuff rolled into a big ball and presented in a bottle. I am pretty demanding when it comes to sillage and longevity, and Viva is not as good as I would like, but it's better than most perfumes these days. I can't really tolerate the smell of chocolate on my skin all day, so when I am in the mood for something delicious, I will reach for my scrumptious Viva!
I find this perfume to be youthful and fun, odviously it is targeted to a young crowd. I personally do not think that to smell elegant you have to smell old. I spray it on myself when I want to liven and sweeten up my life! I enjoy it mainly before bedtime to have the sweetest dreams. To me this is what a bouquet of flowers with jasmine would smell like on a counter of a candy or bakery shop, delicious and lovely. If you like sweet strong gourmad I highly recommend this.
From the start of this perfume it is like you were baking a yummy wildberry cake on a pan that was just cleaned with some citrus soap. Then as you are mixing this cake you add your other ingredients and need to add your vanilla and sugar as your whole kitchen starts to smell like a bakery. Then you need to add the icing and drizzle this wonderfully baked caked with caramel filling. As you are busy baking suddenly the love of your life comes home and brings you a bouquet of white flowers. Ending with french kisses on your sugary lips.
I understand that others might hate it, I know many people who do not like sweet frangrances and this is among the sweetest. I know that this is popular but I personally find myself loving this! I enjoy smelling it on others too and compliment them for their good taste. In conclusion, I am going to spray this on and wait for my kisses! MUAH!
It is quite longlasting on my skin, not too sweet, more fruity I would say, but all I could smell was caramel and turberose. I love caramel but not turberose as well!! I would purchase it for autumn/winter but I am afraid that I would get tired too soon because of its floral side. I really liked it, it is too girly as most members said!
This is unimaginably sweet. I mean, tooth-decay sweet. Unbelievable. If you even slightly don't care for sweet perfumes, don't get this. Imagine a nuclear explosion of the world's largest bubble gum and candy factory, saturated with sugar to the tilt, and there are some powdery white flowers miles away in the distance. That's what this smells like. But mostly, candy. Personally, I don't hate it 100%, but I just cannot wear it. It literally makes me sick. I can bear to smell it on paper, but that's it. Suitable for middle school up to early high school. Hopefully, by high school, you've graduated from Viva la Juicy onto more sophisticated scent. It's adorable in a kiddie way but not sophisticated in ANY sense of the word.
In the beginning i thought wow what a fragarance, but when it dried down i thought.. hmm nothing special about it, it reminds me a little bit of chanel fraiche and nina, nina ricci.
What a waste of money! None of the Juicy's last at all... fade away very quickly
Beautiful fragrance but save your money & buy Victoria's Secret Noir Tease. It smells IDENTICAL to Viva La Juicy with a lil more freshness and lasts a lot longer. So so glad I only purchased the tiny bottle of Viva La Juicy, it's cute but useless ... well... until they stop making Noir Tease =O Hopefully, that'll never happen lol!
i was trying to stay away from this because of the white flowers in it.
a guy sprayed this on me on the perfume department (without my permission, haha) and surprisingly, it doesnt smell so much of flowers. the flowers, mixed with sugar, gave it to me an impression of bubblegum. Soft, pink bubblegum. and toffee. lots of toffee.
On the strip, it smelled almost transparent, so i had it sprayed on the back of my hand. At first whiff, it smelled like citrus and some sugar. After a while it became the sugary note in caramel, some fine candy sugar, and very light gardenia. Oddly enough though, the scent seems to come stronger as time passes. that or the tester has gone bad.
does not seem to have good sillage, but still a cute, warm, summery scent. for me, at least.(◕‿◕✿)
Love this !
Bought it when i was on holiday some years ago, and it always reminds me of summer :) very sweet and a really good fragrance.
This smells very nice! I smell the notes of caramel, amber, and vanilla, which makes the fragrance smell warm. I smell the gardenia and jasmine too, but I dont smell any mandarin, and I only smell a tiny bit of berries. I really like this scent, I can see why its so very popular, which isnt a good thing. Even though this fragrance came out in 2008 people still wear it alot now. To me it would be very awkward for me to be in the same room with someone also wearing the same scent as me, but I still like this fragrance. Expensive though
this is not a very good review, because i can't pinpoint exactly what it is that i am SOOO in love with about this fragrance. all i can say, is smell it for yourself. it's addicting. i can't get enough of it. it's a must haveeee!!
Woe! Woe! Where is the caramel?! Where is the vanilla? Like Coco76, all I got was cloyiing floral and sharp fruit with baby powder. Boo.
I have been trying this out at my local store every-time I go there - because it is so IRRESISTIBLE!
On first spray it smells really lovely and fruity - the blackberry and mandarin are really pleasant in spite of being really strong at first. The middle notes start to smell a little flowery - I mainly notice the honeysuckle and jasmine. And the dry-down is a really lovely, sweet vanilla-caramel! Even though its really strong at first after about half an hour it becomes really subtle. It last for about 4 hours on my skin.
Overall, I am absolutely in LOVE with this fragrance and I really want to buy it! The only problem is that its wayyy too pricey :(
But I'll still try to get my hands on this!
I loved this scent. And I probably still would if I were three years younger. I remember swapping this because it had no staying power whatsoever. I swear, it wouldn't even last on clothes. t wish it did, perhaps I would have kept it.
Viva la Juicy is the most vibrant of the Juicy Couture line which explains its popularity. It's a well put fruity gourmand, suitable for people I imagine in their early adulthood.
Like I said the scent didn't last long enough on me which didn't give me a chance to figure out how it developed, but the initial smell is very glamorous, "I'm ready to get out" upbeat sort of way.
I tried this on at murale, at first i could tell it was a very strong overpowering scent, but it didnt linger, it wasnt......'loud', i guess. but, in the car ride home i got SO strong, Smelt like vanilla caramel and praline with a tiny bit of floral. i couldnt stand it, the car was full of this scent, i couldnt get rid of it, washing it off didnt work. it was giving me a migrane, so i had to open ALL the windows, that barely helped. anyway, i still cant eat caramel. AWFUL
I like this perfume. Even though it's strong, I think it's a very nice smell, but you can easily get tired of it. It reminds me of a very bad year of my life, but that's obviously just me, because I used to wear it every day that year. The main problem of Viva La Juicy is that... I don't know, it's missing... personality. It doesn't say "me". It doesn't make you stand out. It's not special. I feel like if this were my signature scent, no one would remember me. Maybe that's because it doesn't go that well with my personality. Maybe someone with a personality similar to this perfume could wear it and stand out, but it sure isn't the right one for me.
Ok, this is weird. Wearing it for an hour now and I don't get ANY of the notes on my skin. Sillage isn't really what I expected. am I the only one smelling pineapple?? I feel like I poured pineapple juice over my skin. When I smell my wrists closer, i smell flowers. Funny
EDIT: applied at 10 AM and at 2PM I smelled nothing anymore, except for a very faint vanilla scent when i ush my nose against the skin of my wrist. I've spend too much money on this one. Sorry, I can't say it's a quality perfume worth the 40euro (approx 50$ I think) spend on a 30 ml bottle. There are much better perfumes for half the price. My worst blind buy upon til now.
No good review, I know, but I'm sorry, it just doesn't work for me
was slightly fearful of it smelling too young, but I have not met a man who does not love this on me, pretty pricey, i'll wear it but keep looking for others similar though
It is very sweet.
At first spray it smelt as light as ever, then it settled for a second, and it was caramel and vanilla and musk. I do smell some flowery notes.
When I was younger and this was first brought out I hated it possibly because everyone in my school had it. It made me sick, Now older it is pleasant still a bit sickly at times esp when it is super hot out.
I just received my LIMITED EDITION pure parfum 100ml bottle today and might I add, this was purely or should I say partially, a 'blind' buy based on rave reviews and overall descriptions of the Juice. Thereby, reading subjective opinions and perceptions of others gives you a good idea of what you will get in a perfume. Let me cut to the chase and tell you the first words that came to my head upon first sniff....REVERIE Perfume for Women by Gloria Vanderbilt. The similarity between the two is striking only Viva la Juicy is slightly frutier than the sweet powderiness of Reverie. This is sensual, semi-sweet, and very unique.... Words you've no doubt heard a zillion times before but honestly this stuff is really good. Thrilled to bitz with it!
Edit - It is amazing how your perception changes over time. I find this fragrance to be utterly one dimensional and pretty insipid.
I agree with N.V. I bought a HUGE bottle of this. Loved it on a paper strip but the moment I sprayed it on myself I knew it was a big mistake. This is definitely one of those perfumes that if mixed with the wrong body chemistry will be a nightmare. While it's a great perfume it's nothing special to me. I guess it's because you can easily walk in to any Bath and Body works or Victoria's Secret store and find at least 3 perfumes that smell similar to it.
My sister wears this everyday, and it's insanely strong.. Lasts about 8 hours maybe?.. stays on her clothes 'til she washes them (which could be days..). I can't even smell the mandarin orange or floral notes.. It's just straight up caramel on her. I'm not a fan of sweet perfume, so I don't really enjoy it.. BUT, if you love REALLY SWEET scents like Britney Spears' "In Control" (which my sister also loves), and you want people to know when you're near, then you'd love this.
Overall..
I'd recommend this perfume to people aged 16-25, who love sweet, strong perfumes, and want a very long lasting scent that doesn't fade, at all.
I also recommend not spraying a lot, it's very potent. lol.
I would have never tried this one because of the bottle - it it too girly. however I was a the shop with a male friend who sprayed this perfume on a testing paper and gave it to me. I loved the smell from the first sniff. fresh, sweet, sophisticated smell. flowers and berries with a light sweetness of caramel. it does not stand out and is gentle, neutral and not irritating or synthetic.
I was surprised how men are attracted to this smell. Had a party at my house and several guys deicded to check out my perfume collection. Juicy Couture was everyone's favourite. The smell is very feminine and attractive.
At the moment it is my number one perfume and it always gets my mood better when I smell it. I imagine a fresh breeze of summer morning.
Very strong gardenia and I get nothing else. Not my fave but I'd use it as a bathroom air freshener.
Smells almost identical to Bath & Body Works Forever Sunshine. I like them both very much. Sweet, gourmand, youthful, it just smells fantastic!
This doesn't smell gourmand on me at ALL. It is very bright and effervescent, almost like a fruity champagne chased by a shot of Southern Comfort. It is VERY strong on me, and that's ok. I don't use it very often, but when I do, I get lots of compliments on it. It could be that everything turns powdery on me, so it affects the gourmand base notes and brings out an almost bignet type scent.
I like Viva la juicy. You need a body chemistry to work this perfume. Humid and hot weather this perfume is toooo strong. In chill weather this is amazing. First one hour i smell sweet, then caramel, after two hours i smell sandalwood and jasmin. Let the perfume do the magic. I did three sprays in my cleavage. This is lovely,lovely.... This perfume works with cool and dry skin body.
When I first sprayed Viva, I was actually sort of disappointed by the perfume. Because I heard reviews saying it's very strong and heavy. But it's actually very sweet and fruity and a very light perfume. But it's very long-lasting/
- I got it on My Birthday ! It smells magical on my skin but worst on my sisters skin .. love it as it's good on me ! and whenever i wear it i get compliments .. Beautiful it is ! and the gorgeous bottle makes it so noticeable who ever comes in my room haha
Tried this again. Smelled very different. I am loving it.
I like it. It's a perfume that takes me back in time, in my highschool years. It's not something very sophisticated, but it's cozy and feminine.
I had originally smelled noire tease by VS and liked iit, and then read the reviews that say it is like VLJ. I went for a sniff of VLJ but was not impressed, on my skin it smelled like cough syrup. I am passing on this one but still getting noire tease, which smelled better, add to this that it is cheaper.
SWEET. I would not say that is light. For me the suggar stay hours. Is nice, girly and "young" (i say so because when i smell it i can imagine a teeneger wearing it). In conclusion, i can understand how some people can love it, but is not for me.
Some people's body chemistry mixes well with these scents, some do not, point blank.
That being said: This scent is NOT FOR EVERYONE. Those saying it smells like a 'run of the mill whore house' are using biased opinions because they do not enjoy the scent.
It is my 'signature' perfume because it mixes well with my body chemistry, and I happen to ADORE the smell, as well as my boyfriend.
If you like caramel, fruity sweet perfumes, I would definitely give this a go. It doesn't last too long on me, so I need to use a small spray bottle in my purse for 'touch ups'.
I would recommend giving it a try!

This is an awesome fragrance! To me the Base scent is a winner. I think this is the best one out of the three fragrance gift set I got this past Christmas with the other two being Juicy Couture & Couture Couture.
favorite perfume EVER. the first time i purchased this was in 2009 and i was tired of the scent after not even the middle of the bottle but in the start of 2010 it become my HG . i just finish my 4 bottle and the body lotion and the mini perfume from a christmas set is all i have now . so sad. ( sorry if im bad aha but i speak french so :) )
I absolutely adore this girly scent! I'm loving the honeysuckle and praline notes! This scent reminds me of a night out with my girl friends.
I can't help but love this stuff. It is the standard I hold all trendy fruity florals to. It's fruity juicy warm and bright- it's never too sugary or cloying either despite the gourmand notes. The notes are quite wellblended IMO.
It's popularity should be no mystery to anyone.
It's a casual perfume that is young, flirty, and cute. It's absolutely perfect for summer.
Has a squeaky clean quality due to it's sheerness. Unlike many perfumes- it lacks syrupy quality, patchouli, musk, or powder.
Never has a perfume been so loved by the people around me either! Definite compliment getter.
The unfortunate thing about Viva La Juicy is it's longevity. Constant need for reapplication :/
Despite this it's definitely a perfume I consider to be essential to my wardrobe.
I'm not sure whether I like it or not.. Funnily enough I've gone through one 50 ml bottle already, and am on my second with about two thirds of the juice left.
There was a time when I loved Viva la Juicy oh so much. Immediately after going through my bottle of it I started disliking it, and put the new bottle I'd purchased away.
My body chemistry seems to make this scent very odd. The opening smells very heavily of tangerines for me. After the tangerines calm down it smells more like caramels wrapped in honeysuckle, some amber and a bit of sandalwood. I don't get any vanilla.
The lasting power isn't great(3 hours, maybe?), but it is for some reason able to give me a headache for 8+ hours because of it's heaviness on my skin.
A nice, light, girly scent. I like it because it DOES smell nice; unfortunately, when I wear it I feel as though I smell like countless thousands of high school girls across America. It's a very easily accessible, unremarkable, and completely generic scent.
I've enjoyed wearing it several times and I do think it's nice for hot summer days when you don't want to be reeking of scent, but it's definitely not memorable. And on my skin at least, the staying power is nonexistent--I have to re-apply multiple times throughout the day to maintain even a slight whiff of the scent.
At the ripe old age of 31, I'm moving on from this one. Time to find a fragrance that's a bit more sophisticated....
this perfume was suggested by my best friend , when I was looking for my previous lovely perfume " Solo White by Luciano Soprani " and couldn't find it anywhere!!!! (by any where i mean 5 countries!) well i guess they do not produce it anymore, :( ... my friend told me this perfume reminds her of my solo white, so I got it and YES it is perfect and I became a big fan , although I miss my solo white! :D
Smells cheap, generic and synthetic. The bottle is tacky as hell as most of Juicy Couture products. You can tell it is aimed to girls under 16 by the ad and the bottle. Don't buy this one unless you really really like it, which I find really weird if someone loves this one having so many other fragrances in the same genre that smell way better than Viva La Juicy. I'm not saying it is bad but there are better choices out there.
Received mine today and was excited to try it. It did not fail to impress! On first spray, it was sweet and fresh and I got a whiff of the caramel. It dried down beautifully with hints of the fruity and floral notes blended so well. I love the contemporary attitude and cheerfulness of this fragrance. This is one of those fragrances I intend to use all the time.
I really love this fragrance . It is beautiful and really changes depending on a person's body chemistry but it works for most , just takes on a different form . Very girly, bright , a mix between a sweet richness and fruity floral scent .
cute bottle..really sweet
but i can hardly smell anything nice in it..it's just not beautiful to me..although i am a fan of sweet scents..
I am one of the perfume lovers who doesn't like this scent..personally it has a leather smell in it which really bothers me..
Will never ever get sick of this scent. loved it the first time i smelled it, and i love it every time i wear it, always kicks up my mood a couple of notches without fail. is my go to for fun times in summer, concerts, BBQ's, fairs, etc... can't get enough!
I loved this perfume! It has been my signature fragrance for the past few months, ever since I received a bottle of it for my birthday in March. I'm starting to run low though and I don't think I will be buying it again.
It's not because I didnt like it, I did, but both my boyfriend and my dad did not. My boyfriend said it was "a bit too sweet" and my dad said that it smelled cheap:/ (shouldn't be hearing that for the price of this stuff:P) it must just be a guy thing though, because all of my girl friends have complimented me on it. So I guess it really just depends who you're trying to smell good for haha :P
I'm quite disappointed because i think it's a really pretty scent, it was a perfect blend of flirty and bright with the citrus and floral notes, but warm and delicious with the vanilla, amber, and caramel notes. The only complaint i have, which i have been reading a lot of the same from other people, is the longevity. It was pretty bad. I would apply it in the morning before school at about 7:00, and by 10:00 i couldn't smell it anymore. Overall it really is a great fragrance- very pretty and easy to wear- but just not for me:/
Sigh... I really really wanted to love this as much as I love Alien Taste of Fragrance and other caramel perfumes but I just cannot make myself. Once again, the citrus made this scent turn rancid on my skin and stays through the drydown making it a cheap gourmand soap. The sillage is poor and I have to bury it in my wrists to smell anything, looks like this one is going back :(
There are some really good things about this fragrance. It's sweet, but not overly so, it's warm without being too powdery. It's a fun scent and light enough to wear on warm days. It's not overpowering so it's easy to wear just about anywhere. It smells a little bit like bubble gum to me, which I actually kind of like. The not-so-good things the longevity is poor in my opinion, I have to reapply a couple of times during the day, I've only worn in warmer weather so maybe that would improve if it was cooler outside. Also, I feel like I smell the scent all the time on everyone, it's just not very original. I will finish my 1oz. bottle but won't buy it again.
Oh, how I wanted to dislike this fragrance. Yes, DISLIKE. Why? Because everyone and their sister, aunt, and cousin's best friend's roommate own it and wear it. The first time I smelled this, I knew I had smelled it before. That may not necessarily be a testament to how many people wear it, but to how many fragrances out there include many of the same notes. But I digress. This perfume is quite nice. It's very sweet and warm. It combines aspects of several other fragrances: it opens with the syrupy berry quality of Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, but not quite as young and sugary. As it develops, it becomes richly floral, à la Midnight Rain by La Prairie. On the drydown, it takes on the warm, almondy vanilla creaminess of Ralph Lauren Hot. I am surprised by the complaints about the longevity, as I get a good 6-8 hours with this, and don't get that with many fragrances. I do find it to be quite heavy and thick; it walks a fine line between scrumptious, and cloyingly suffocating, and I find it easy to go overboard and spray too much. And there is the recognizability factor, but that doesn't bother me as much because it's the individual that makes the fragrance, not the other way around. Unfortunately, given this fragrance's immense popularity, I'm kind of bored with it, as I have smelled it too often, on too many young women. I also associate it with a different type of girl - maybe the glamorous teenager at the top of the high school social hierarchy - definitely not me. All in all, I enjoy this perfume, but do not feel that it fits me.
The vanilla seems to take over this scent, imho. Very young scent. Most appropriate for a teen. Can't ever think of a place to wear this but my friends seem to LOVE it. Eh. Not impressed.
Gorgeous. Its opening is gorgeous strong berries and the drydown is caramel and delicious. Luckily its not common in the uk so so you dont smell it everywhere.
This is so yummy! It's a lovely sweet scent that seems so young and fun to me. A real 'happy' perfume as far as I'm concerned.
I think this perfume smells great! It's warm and sweet and is basically what any average teenage girl would ask for ina perfume! I smelled it for what seemed like the 50th time today and I must say, it's delicious!
I personally don't own this perfume. Not because I on't like it! But because its just so popular that I feel it'll be impossible to pull off as MY signature scent! Almost every teen girl owns and wears this fragrance and thats really all thats stopping me from buying it!
But overall a great scent for young girls like me,and definatly a scent that can be pulled off year round! :)
I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance as it is one of the most expensive scents I own. I do not like or will wear any of the other juicy couture scents so this is already out of the ordinary. But this scent honestly is a really generic sweet and white floral scent. It's not bad, but it's nothing really special and the scent NEVER lasts on me, ever, and I own the eau de parfum. I do not smell the caramel that's supposed to be in this and I definitely do not smell the praline. When I smell this I get a very clean and washed out fruit loop cereal. Like I said, it's not bad but it's nothing special.

I'm from Chile and here this perfume is very unknown, In South America is very hard to find it. However I always receive so many compliments when I use it!!and also always people ask me what i'm wearing. I think that viva la juicy is not the same as other sweet perfumes like fantasy, can can, etc. If you want to try something diferent but sweet, this perfume is the best option, specially if in your country this perfume is unknown :)
LOVEE ITT! I work at a perfume store as a perfume expert consultant. and Honestly this perfume is very POPULAR! everyone loves it even the men do! LoL Its a little pricey but deff worth it. I love it but see i dont need to buy it because i can just wear it for free at work lol (: the carmel mixed great. its an ALL AROUND WEAR !
I love being a Viva La Juicy follower! Actually, it’s my husband’s fault for that as on his way back from a business trip to England, he bought me a bottle and since then, I am totally hooked!
Caramella note is strong but still lovely on my skin and the white flowers scent is giving the feeling of a blooming flower. I smell gardenia and jasmine mostly, with the ‘suga’ vanilla note softening all these notes down, making it wearable from day till night, all year ‘round. To me, after applying it, Viva La juicy gives me the sense of warmth with an amazing longevity.
With that being said, within four months I manage to finish two bottles of 50 and 100ml each. I still have left a travel size bottle and a rollerball, but I do feel I must… order & stock up.
I strongly believe this fragrance is super flirty but also timeless, meaning Viva La Juicy is been appreciated by a lot of women. Age doesn’t count. If you like something very much, you just wear it!
For me, Viva La Juicy… ‘Un amour pour toujours’!
Sweet perfume and very nice bottle,i like the bow!
I purchased this scent last spring after loving the scent on a clerk at my local grocery store, I'm like I must have that scent. So I bought it from Marshall's and although I loved it, yet again it came off to strong with my body chemistry. I bought a small bottle so I just wear it to use it up, but I cannot do alot of stronger fruity florals for some reason.
well, i used to hate this perfume! all the synthesis notes really gave me a terrible headache. but today i decided to give this one a try, on my skin which is the first time! I LOVE it!!! Wow,, so yummy ! perfect projection! I was sitting and waiting for the time to get in to a theatre and this smell kept hitting my nose, in a very very GOOD way! Cant wait to get my hand on this!
just bought this 3 days ago! the caramel and the mandarin work so well together, making it the perfect mix of sweet and fresh for summer, the only disappointment is that on me it lasts 3-4 hours, i expected it to last longer from the reviews here :( i'm thinking it might be because it's really hot now here in mexico? maybe?
but the smell is still soo good.
Viva La Juicy is a very fun, sweet perfume. The sweetness of the caramel is not overpowering or sickening, it just works in perfectly with the fruits to make this a perfume that can be worn year round, it is not a heavy fragrance. There is something about this fragrance that smells 'clean' to me as well.
I wasn't sure about this one at first, but the tester I used the first time must have been bad because when I tried it again I grew to like it more and more and it started to feel very 'me'. This is definately a top favourite for me now & I find myself reaching for it all the time.
Longevity for me is about 5-6 hours, and sillage is quite good. The scent seems to last quite a while on clothing.
This is a soft, warm floral embedded on a sweet caramelly base. The top is a burst of juicy fruits. I absolutely love this perfume and so does my boyfriend. Every time I wear it, he can't stop nuzzling into my neck to catch another whiff of this scent. It's youthful and fun, but also has a bit of a glitzy edge. I wear it when I wanna bring out the diva in me. ;)
The bottle is a bit gaudy with it's oversized pink bow and gold bling but I think it just adds to the lively spirit of this perfume. I'd recommend this to a young lady who loves to live in the moment and enjoys adventure.
This perfume is so cute and lovely,it reminds me of a tea party with english tea, sugar cubes, butter almond cookies with strawberry jam and warm milk. One of my favorites because it lasts long and is very cozy.I think it lasts a good 4 to 5 hrs though out the day and after a shower it lasts through out the whole night,at least for me.It works well with body heat and smells best on a cold night.I also pour some of the body wash that my perfume set came with into a running hot bath and it stains my skin and releases a warm vanilla almond scent into the water.LOVE it and you will too, trust me...p.s. the bottle is so kawaii...
this perfume cheers me up! perfect decent for summer.
i have a body mist that's an imitation of this scent. and since I have scheduled my fragrances so I can wear them all, this one is to be worn on Sundays. Its a very girly, fresh, sweet scent. and my boyfriend commented "You smell nice." so that's a plus. I find the original fragrance to be really strong when sprayed, but for me the mist is just perfect for anything that Ill do in the day/afternoon/night. Perfect for any occasion in this day. <3
This perfume is a little too young for me, but I really enjoy it. It's kind of sexy, sweet, and fruity. Makes me happy to smell it. It wears off sort of quickly, though, and leaves a less pleasant base-scent as it wears off. I still enjoy it, though.
This is my favorite fragrance EVER!! <3
I LOVE the cramellish and fruity notes in them,
they smell perfect together.
They r freakin expensive but soo worth it!!
It feels awesome walking in the hallway knowing that you smell good :D
It is a bit strong for me, when you spray it is sharp and smells a bit weird but after awhile it is ok but I still don't love. TOO SHARP!
I wanted to like this, because it was popular. Now, I don't understand the hype. It smells like those body sprays you get in the large department stores. I think this fragrance is fine and good for pre-teens and early teens, but is too "beginner" for anyone over the age of 20. What I mean is that it is quite accessable and there is no complexity to intimidate tender, young noses. This fragrance is for those who refer to gourmand fragrances as "OMG,yummy!!" and bright, citrusy florals as "too musky!"- even though they may contain not a single drop of musk, woods, or ANY note reminiscent of musk. I cannot tell you how many reviews I have read about this fragrance, in which girls have stated that it can get really musky if you apply too much. It's the same with D&G light blue, also. Yeah, ok. One reason for me to move on...
This perfume is lovely, warm and fruity caramel scent. It's true that will smell a little sintetic or like plastic, but on my skin it smells like mandarin with caramel, very creamy, very young, very sexy. Is the only and the first fragrance that all boys compliment, always. I think this is the kind of fragrance that you should try before buy, just because it have to work with your skin chemistry. I think it can't anoy anybody, it's a creamy, warm and sweet perfume, but not overpowering.
You can use it on winter or summer, it isn't a fresh scent, but the sweetness is very light, elegant... is not like other sweet perfumes like Fantasy. Is noticeable but not too strong, sweet but not only sweet... My most compliment fragrance!
(Sorry for my bad english)
I was very disapointed by this. At first it smelled like sweet rubbing alcohol and thats it. After a while it smelled very floral with a little bit of vanilla and powder. It reminds me of an old lady. The bottle and name make it sound young and fun but I do not feel that way when I wear this.
It doesnt smell nice when you first spray it, but after a while it sinks in and becomes totally wow.
I didn't like it when I sprayed it on at the store. But when I got home I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. I regretted not buying this! Got it at a cheaper price at tjmaxx the next day though, lol. It smells very much like Wicked Style baby from Gwen Stefani, but more sophisticated. I sprayed it on in the evening, and smelled very floral when I woke up in the morning. It's a gorgeous scent. Not sickly sweet or cheap smelling. Again it smells alot like Wicked Baby! I will repurchase!
The name, the bottle and the fragrance have come together and made up a splendid picture of wonderful life being dreamt of. Soft, mild, delicious tart-sweet and very positive. Expensive, interesting, in the concentration of perfume at least. Just imagine how much it strikes you when you sniff the perfume from the huuuge golden bottle! Modern good job.
This was love at first sniff. Quite amazing since the notes do not belong to my favourites at all. It reminds me of the Armani Mania, though, which belongs to my list of must-haves. A classic if there ever was one...
This is a really nice perfume. I keep on getting it and then changing my mind and bring it back to the store. I'm sure that the SA is mad at me cause of it. This frag is very nice. However, due to popularity, I got tired of it. I smelled the resemblance in some perfumes like Gucci Gracious Gardenia and cheaper ones like Justin Bieber's Someday, Wild Rose by Avril Lavinge and today I smelled Aldo Red which is also similar. I'm sure there are more of them. I can see why some brands copied it because this frag is sweet but not sickening and a little floral but not head inducing. It's balanced. It's not elegant but it's a happy-go-lucky perfume. Men adore this one because it's somewhat flirty but innocent and with a touch of masculinity. I think this scent is for younger audience but maybe mid 30s - 40s can pull this off. The only thing about this frag is that it's lasting power is a but weak.
At the moment, I'll give a rest thinking of this frag unless they make the price a little bit low then I will definitely get this.
I adore this perfume ! It's playful, vivid and sweet, in a very pleasant way. At first, I can detect mandarin that is not my cup of tea. However, pretty soon this scent turns into a tasteful gourmand with praline and caramel accords being dominant. In my opinion, this is spring in a bottle; it makes me feel self- confident and optimistic. Staying power is not impressive on my skin( about 3-4 hours), it is satisfactory though. Highly recommended !
ok wow the first half of this scent is awful it smells like floral & poop, like u went in your pants and tried to cover it up with a floral perfume. After the floral poop dies off it smells faintly like a barbie doll which isn't bad but this scent, ehhhh there is just so many nice scents out there and this is not one of them.
Love this perfume on my wife. The sweetness of the vanilla and caramel mixed with the floral citrusy notes are a wonderful combination that can lure any man in my opinion. It's very fitting for me considering I call the wifey my caramel delight ;)
This scent is very appealing and very feminine. Its very sweetening and powdery. I can definitely smell the floral and fruity notes. thumbs up!
Not the most amazing scent in the world but nice none the less. Very sweet and fruity when first applied and becomes warmer as time moves along. I can see why it's as popular as it is.
Although it's not one I will be splashing out for again.
It smells like M by Mariah Carey and B.S fantasy, both of which I hate. Prominent caramel notes just aren't for me. It has this sweaty smell to it on my skin that I can't stand! It smells liiike...like a painter who eats too many donuts or sweets and is sweating hard all day from work..exactly like B.S fantasy and M by MC, exactly to my nose. My lil sis has been using this one for years now and I have never even tried it on and only smelled it on my sis or passerby's, hating it because it is so common on the streets of NYC..also because it was "lil sissys scent" lol. Well, I finally sprayed some on my skin, and all I could smell was burnt caramel that turned into sweat within a few minutes... YUCK! I've never liked the smell of this even on my sis, and finally convinced her to try something that didnt smell like a bakery on fire. I don't recommend it, try Dior Cherie instead, much more airy, feminine, and sexy.
This fragrance disappointed me...it turned flowery on my skin :( oh well, at least I saved some money
EDIT 5/8/12: I think the tester I smelled last time was bad or something because I ended up finding a 1.0 oz size of this at tjmaxx for $19.99 and buying it. This actually does smell nice! But I still wish that I didn't buy it because this smells just like noir tease by victoria's secret. I work at VS and I could just spray myself with tease whenever I wanted to so I don't see the point of me having a scent that I can spray for free at work. And personally, I think the tease bottle is cuter than the viva la juicy bottle.
It's still a nice scent though :)
I finally got the Viva La Juicy pure parfum! I absolutely love it! It doesn't last 100x longer than the original edp but that's ok. I adore the bottle and I don't have the edp so it's definitely a keeper. I wonder if Juicy Couture is going to release a brand new scent this year? I sure hope so! : )
Yum! This is the most sophisticated and womanly "sweet" scent I have ever smelled. I am a fan of gourmand, sweet scents like B.S. Fantasy, but sometimes I want something a little less sweet and more sophisticated, but yet still yummy. You can smell the caramel sweetness but it isn't overpowering, cheesy, or synthetic. It is well balanced and hits all the right notes. I would highly recommend this scent to pretty much anyone, especially if you are in your 20's or 30's. Also, it is pretty inexpensive at Nordstrom Rack!
By the way, I haven't smelled Siren, but I have smelled four other Paris Hilton perfumes and they were all cheap and nasty. I HIGHLY doubt that any of her perfumes could even come close to the well-balanced and beautiful scent of Viva La Juicy.
Ok, I might be playing devils advocate but the verdict is that you can NEVER compare a cubic to a diamond. No matter how much they look alike, it just can never way up in the end. For me 'Viva La Juicy' is a diamond. It ways up just Beautifully with it's own unique rich caramel creamy vanilla scent.
Ask me if I'll wear a cubic that could pass for a diamond & I'll answer "Sure, hell why not!" especially if it's gonna suite my pocket & looks great at the same time.
But all in all, Quality almost always out ways Quantity, IF you can end up affording it. So if the comparison has to be made Siren does not measure up in my books. It will do if you don't mind a sharp caramel note compared to a soft & lush creamy vanilla caramel drydown which is so prevalent in Viva La Juicy.
I can understand that on others it could very well be totally different but hey on me Siren brings through no soft vanilla or caramel just a sharp imitation caramel. In the end this is how it develops on my skin.
So 'Viva La Juicy" it will be for me.
Thank you Tangi0001 for affording me the opportunity. I totally LOVE 'Viva La Juicy"!
By the way I own Siren too & wear it occasionally but VLJ has bowled me over. BIG TIME!
This is my husband's favorite perfume - so he bought a little bottle as a gift for me last year.
Unfortunately, this perfume and I do not get along. And as much as my husband wanted this to be my signature fragrance, even he had to admit it did not smell good on me. Actually, I think his exact words were "You make it smell bad!". I think the chemistry of my body reacts badly with amber notes.
At any rate, the smell of this perfume makes me nauseous. I gave it to my sister, who loves it!
After numerous times of going to stores and spritzing myself with this, saying to myself, "I really don't need to buy this! but it smells nice..." I have finally caved in. :x And I must say I do love it.. even though I know girls every where are using it and etc. It is just really soft and nice.. not too over the top or heavy in my opinion.. something I feel would be great for every day use. The sweet is not TOO sweet, the floral notes are nice but not so heavy that it makes me get a headache. I am really happy with it. Also many people say that Siren is a good dupe for this... I suppose it is similar, but for some reason I find siren to be "louder" than this... the vanilla is not so pronounced in Viva La Juicy, which I do like.
I found this on sale at TJ Maxx, and I'm so glad I did! I stayed away from this fragrance because of its popularity (I don't want to smell like everyone else). However, sometimes something is popular because its great! It has a great balance of bright scents and dark scents with an adorable bottle which makes it completely worth the money. Viva is both sweet and sexy, and men love it!
found this today, and bought it based on the reviews!! I usu. don't have good luck with that but today i was pleasantly surprised, I love it!! Sweet, fresh, feminine and sexy!
this smells sweet i love it and all of my friends love it too i brought it with me once at school and everyone was over it even the teachers i love the bottle and its not too sweet just right ! LOVE IT
I bought a bottle of this at Wal-Mart. Yes, Wal-Mart. I liked the sweetness of it for the summer, and it smelled very "youthful" to me. Then, my mother said once, "What smells like turpentine?" and then sniffed me until she found where I had sprayed it. Apparently, to some people the sillage smells very chemical. That ruined it for me.
there was a trio set of these fragrances around xmas 2010 and i bought them in little bottles really nice and you could mix and match the scents sweet and floral and not for the faint hearted lady !!
On my skin at some point it somehow reminds me a very-very-very-very-veryvery soft version of Eau de Fragile by Jean Paul Gautier.. Can this be?
Sadly in 2 hours it´s already off:( I know it lasts longer on some other people.
Hola!! me encanta este perfume por que es muy dulce,
y sexy al mismo tiempo.
Me gusta mucho el frasco, será uno de mis favoritos de
mi colección.
mmm!! delicioso aroma y duradero.
xoxo
This smells better on than in the bottle. When I smell it in the bottle it smells way too sweet.. But on it becomes more creamy and floral.. When I sniff this compared to Jessica Simpson Fancy sometimes I think I like Fancy better.. But whereas Fancy can smell synthetic at times Viva la Juicy doesn't feel that way. It's just that at some angles the childishness of Viva can annoy me until it dries down a bit and then it is great - especially when you're in a great mood on the weekend and going outside in the sun for some fun..
Just Smelled Siren today by Paris Hilton and I agree that it smells quite Similar....I love them both :):)
It literally took me months to find this perfume and I must say it was worth the wait. I love this one! There is no speculation as to why it's so popular. It grabs your attention with the fantastic shape of the bottle, the hot pink bow and the golden emblem on the front ... but it doesn't stop there ... it's what's inside the bottle that makes it even better. I smell caramel, praline, vanilla and woodsy notes with a hint of apricot. I absolutely love this perfume. Long live Viva La Juicy! ;)
It seems unnecessary to add more adoration to this perfume, but I just couldn't help it ! :)
First I had dismissed Viva La Juicy as probably over-hyped and super gourmand, but one day I just figured to test it out for fun.
Afterwards, this lingering juicy cloud of ambrosia followed me.
Of course I had to buy a bottle.
I'm not really a gourmand lover, but the sweetness isn't cloying to me. It's fresh and... well, juicy. The floral notes keep Viva from being too sweet.
I'm so happy to finally own a little of this amazing scent in my collection :)
I find it to be warm & sweet.I definitely want to buy a bigger bottle.
At first it reminded me of Playboys "Play it Spicy" and I love that one too But Viva La Juicy is much less Synthetic smelling.
I would totally recommend this one :):)
Olá, estava louca pra comprar esse perfume, comprei pelos comentários e não me arrependi. O perfume é realmente docinho, mas muito de leve...nada enjoativo, longe disso. Inclusive me fez lembrar o Amarige - Givenchy.
Vale o investimento!
YUM! The first time I had a whiff of this was from Marie Claire. After one smell, I knew I HAD to get it! It's one of the only fragrances I'm not dissapointed with. I'd say it's more fruity than floral
I tried this on in the shop and it was lovely but then I bought some and wore it just briefly and it was awful it is very sickly especially the base notes I can't believe the difference I am disappointed but I think I prefer the original juicy couture to this one it's more fruity and soft so I'm afraid that viva la juicy has to go it's a shame the add and the bottle are very cool but the fragrance lacks unfortunately it's too sweet and I can't smell any fruity notes in it at all which is why I got it to begin with I give it about a 4 out of 10 I hate it when you buy a perfume and then it just doesn't live up to it's write up never mind. There are plenty of others to choose from.
Fantastic! This smells like happiness - floral, fruity, mildly sweet and fresh. I smell mostly florals and vanilla and a touch of citrus. I find it fades quickly but it sure smells good while it lasts.
It's too creamy for my taste. And I can detect an almost plastic note in it..:( I wanted to love it so much.
I was very curious to smell this perfume since it's so popular. Today I had the chance and to me it smells just like Victoria Secret Noir Tease. So similar and since I already own the Noir Tease, I deciced not to get the Viva la Juicy. But it smells really nice. Florally and sweet
Here we have yet another teen-targeted el cheapo mess, and another scrubber for me. Good for you, those who love it, I would really love a study to be done on whether you will still like it and/or whether it will still be around in, say, even 10 years' time.
Don't thumbs down me just because my taste is different to yours!!
I DO love reading all the rave reviews.
This is an absolute favorite! Smells a lot of black currant, sweet honey, creamy pralines and a hint of vanilla. An absolute beauty. At first an explosion of orange hits you, that almost immediately calms down and the above scents emerge. The scent is fresh and sweet without being flowery, more berry sweet ... yummy, yummy! The fragrance is playful and happy and even if it is sweet, it has just the right amount of sweetness that makes it very hot and sexy! I get lots of compliments when I use the fragrance...!!!! The scent stays relatively long, about 5-6 hours.
I LOVE this perfume!!! Obsessed!! I have the rollerball and once I run out I'll be getting the 3.4 oz! Perfection!
Nice, tolerable, enjoyable even, but I too find this one overrated. Wish I didn't but they say the nose knows :/
After watching all those youtube perfume videos, and reading reviews, I had to buy this one. And in that case, it was really great blind buy!! Firstly, I bought the roller-ball from Ebay, since this treasure is not available in my country, neither in countries around. And I LOVED it! And since I found one Czech perfume forum, and once saw that one woman was selling it, because she had a HUGE perfume collection, and didn´t use many of them very often, I decided to buy it. So that´s how did I get mine 3.4 fl.oz. Viva la juicy :)
Let´s move to the actual juice. I thought it would be fruity, but I don´t get ANY fruit on my skin. Acutally, it´s VERY floral, with a nice gourmand background. There are two notes in the opening that stands out on my skin: gardenia and honeysuckle. Then that delicious gourmand caramel, vanilla and pralines!
This one is very girly, playful, fun fragrance. Not TOO sweet, just the right amount of sweetness, without being suffocating. I think this is a perfect one for spring and autumn! NOT FOR SUMMER..Maybe summer nights. The lasting power is OK.
And I got TONS of compliments on this, so great this is not popular here AT ALL!!! BUT I do think that price tag is kinda ridiculous! But I would definitely buy another one, if I ran out of it!
sucha a delicious perfume, actually edible...i am not a fan of vanilla - actually i hate vanilla.
but i love this perfume (even thou it has vanilla) just because it doesn't smell like straight up vanilla, it smells of mandarins, juicy berries & some florals, praline & teeny bit of vanilla :)
only thing lacking is lasting power - doesnt last more than 1 hour
Viva La Juicy-Juicy Couture
Don't get me wrong, this is a nice fragrance. I like how I can mostly smell honeysuckle. However, I think this is very overrated and nothing spectacular. But since Juicy Couture made it, I guess people are going to be in love with it.
I adore this.
Sweet, warm, fruity goodness.
I'm not exactly sure but after the dry down I smell coconut.
My only issue with this is that it doesn't last that long.
Oh viva, I wanted to like you, but you dont like me. It dries down to a musky old lady smell on my skin. Yet another perfume to check off the list. I only seem to be able to do Coach's Poppy and Philosophy's falling in love. So i stuck with floral fruity with a vanilla base to narrow down my search. But it's so chemical and heady smelling on me, I had to use tons of alcohol and soap to get it off. At least it has staying power, but alas; back to the drawing board.
i tried it at the store the other day and it smells really good on paper. wanted to buy it but then again i always remember to test it on the skin as it can react differently on everybody. i was lucky i tested it. it smells really bad on me. like a strong vanilla-sugary-chocolatey kinda scent. i got headache and couldn't smell it. but it smells good on paper and my friend. well, its a matter of body chemistry. not for me. but the bottle is really pretty.
OMG! I LOVE this perfume! Everyone gifts me compliments and the men can't resist me when I wear it. I ran out and I HAVE to get some more!
Viva la Juicy? More like Viva la Nasty!
Tried this on in Kohls today. Big mistake.
It smells like rotten fruit with caramel to me. It's too sweet. I don't mind it on other people, but to me, ew. Sweet rotten-ness.
Scent: 0/10
Bottle: 7/10 (it's cute!)
Staying power: 9/10 (sadly, 8 hours on me! Ick!)
Would I buy? NO! NO! NO!
It smells OK on other people, but personally, I hate the smell.
This is so horrible on my skin .. after all the positive review I believe it's my chemistry which rejected it.. smells as sweet herbals :(
I wished to like it BUT no way !
Love this- Viva is my "day" fragrance and it is perfect. It's sweet and sexy and like shopping and cocktails and fruit and summer and fun. A certain type of girl buys Juicy Couture and I think the company nailed their niche market with this one. Another way to describe it is when you smell it you think of that pink bow that comes on the bottle. Girly is an understatement.
Everyone's chemistry is different and on me I smell more of the mandarin, the jasmine and the vanilla. I never got a caramel or praline scent, but the vanilla, amber and sandalwood come out after it rests a while. The longevity is also great. My only complaint is it comes out of the bottle so heavy I shy away from spraying too much. My boyfriend has said he can smell me before I get from the street to his door when I spray it in the car, so I would suggest doing this as an after-shower spritz or if ou have plenty of time to let it settle before going out.
This is lively. Doesn't last long on my skin. Victorias secret sect little things noir tease smells just like this. I'm sure its far enough away from the actual.scents recipe so they don't get sued....but to my nose they smell exactly alike....in fact. Unless you are a professional nose you will think they are the same event. I have this from victorias secret so I'm not sure I'd buy this one too....I probably will though.....the only difference between the two is biochemical florals are more real to my nose by a millimeter and vs is aot more fruity sugqry. It smells divine.
I wish this perfume actually lasted on me :( so sad because it smells wonderful! I would not waste my money, however, because it has no lasting power. It must be my skin, because everyone else loves it!
This perfume smells like a teeny bopper perfume 8 year olds use to me. Its such a generic scent it gives me a headache after a while.
#OMG in #LOVE with viva la juicy! This perfume is sweet, charming, pleasant, fruity, and stays on for hours. #YUMMY
I think of the fabulous juicy couture store when i wear it i also think of happy days. This perfume sends out positive energy when you wear it. lol
I'm wearing this now. Sweet without being too cloying. This gourmand is delicious, in a candy sort of way, and not in a "cake" or "pastry" sort of way. Imagine gummy bears and milk and caramel and vanilla. Sweet, but tempered with a little bit of tart. It does not come off too strong, it is sweet but not headache inducing. Projection of fragrance is moderate, but lasting power is really good. I love Viva La Juicy.
I had been wanting this for a while, especially since I've been so happy with the original Juicy Couture and I finally got it the other day. Very fruity, sweet and so popular that some other celebrities try to copy it; hello Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift! Lol Anyway, if you don't like sweet, stay away from it. Viva is a bight sunny day at the beach, sipping daiquiris while kicking back and just having a good time. This is fun in a bottle, that's the best way to describe it, and yes, it is a "young at heart" frag too, but you certainly don't have to be a teenager to wear it. It's also a nice scent to chase away the winter blahs. On me, it's caramel drizzled fruit with warm vanilla, so it's another one of those "Oh man, I wanna eat my arm when I put this on" kind of frags. Lol
UPDATE: This has great lasting power on me. I can catch whiffs throughout the day and I'll be like "What is that nice smell?", and it's me. Lol This is now one of my fave pick-me-up scents. I love it!
i seriously want to drink this stuff! lol. it smells like a real yummy mocktail!
and it's a good thing that this perfume doesn't smell 'perfumy'; I don't get any bad alcohol smell from it.
omg i can't get enough of this! i've recently purchased it and the smell is so heavenly. i want to wear it every single day! but i don't want it to run out so i'll just wear it every other day :)
i highly recommend this scent to fruity-sweet perfume lovers! i can smell the mandarin and the vanilla-caramel notes mainly. it's a 'bright' summer scent imo.
I smelt it today - soo yumm , delicious ! I need it
I was crazy bout this edp, even had tasted. But when I tried it... Oh gosh, i didnt like it at all. Sweet, a lot of vanilla, remind me a candy store. I had a headache when I wear it.
I desperately wanted to like this and was so excited to test it out. Unfortunately, on me, it reminded me so much of the scent of "Off! Insect Repellant!" I was quite shocked. I actually quite like the smell of the repellant though, and have made the mistake of thinking it was perfume on someone! All I can smell is this repellant when I spray Viva La Juicy. This is on my skin, however, and would be dependent on each individual's chemistry.
I think my opinion would be different if I hadn't smelled the repellant before. I suggest to try before you buy!
It reminds me of one of the miss sixy parfumes. I cant remember which one because I never bought them. But yeah. It smells a bit drugstory/synthetic. Sorry I dont like it.
It is very sweet and warm scent, feminine too. But i guess the drugstore vibe keeps coming back. Have to pass.
This has become my everyday scent. I love it so much. This fragrance stands out to me, so much that when other girls wear it, I smell it and say in a slightly raised voice "someone's wearing Viva La Juicy" and they look over at me and ask how I knew that and I reply "it's only the best perfume ever!"
you can wear this during the day or at night. it's light and at the same time really sexy.
I agree with Ulrika: I get lots of PLUM! Otherwise I would like it, for I do also get some caramel and general sweetness, which I like - but the plum put me off. Reminds me of 5th Avenue Style by E. Arden, which costs way less - so if you can not afford JC, buy it instead :)
On "my skin" it has a very sweet, fruity top, I would put plum first in the top, the sweetness increases with caramel and vanilla, but I can't notice much of the floral notes.
i have it and i wish i never bought its way too sweet gives me a headache never will i repurchase.
i really thought i would like it but i hate it
Plastic sweet, like those plastic toys that smell like gummy bears! I know its synthetic but I like it! Also the bottle its beautiful. Good stay power, around 5 hours and the scent doest change too much along the day. Sweet and fresh at the same time! Very girly and friendly!
I can see the similarity between Viva La Juicy perfume and the LOTION of Victoria's Secret Noir Tease. The lotion only... Victoria's Secret Noir Tease perfume smells NOTHING like Viva La Juicy. Tease is waaaayy wayyy more vanilla-y. Viva La Juicy is much more fruity. I love both, though.
For me,this perfume is not special one.The scent is absolutely similar to 'B&BW Twilight Wood and Secret Wonderland'.Hate it but my sister love it!
I tried hard for viva. It's supposed to be this amazing candy/gourmand fragrance. I should be right on board! Unfortunately the black currant note is way too strong to me and makes the scent smell like bubblegum. I never really get the luscious caramel notes, they are too strangled by the fruits. To me this smells like a bubble gum flavored sucker with a caramel chunk in the middle you barely notice.
Okay, so this scent isn't horrible. It's not like I hate it, but I can't really seem to enjoy it either. Unfortunately due to the popularity of this scent I am pretty much doomed to viva. Viva perfume samples are sent to me all the time with my online orders, and viva is usually included in perfume variety sets. I guess viva is something I will learn to put up with.
I know a lot of people who like it. In my opinion, it's too sweet and not appropriate for work. Maybe it doesn't mix well with my body chemistry... But if you like extremely sweet scents, Viva la Juicy might be suitabe for you! Adorable packaging though!!
wow. sometimes this stuff goes really warm on my skin and sometimes it smells fresh! it keeps changing on me, but i still really like it, warm or fresh!
when it smells warm, i get more of the gourmand side; the caramel and pralines.
and when it smells fresh, i get more of the fruityness of the mandarin.
love this juice! and of course, the beautiful, tacky bottle ;)
To me this smells like a girl in her early to mid 20s.. with straight light-brown hair in a casual outfit like jeans or jean skirt and a green and pink or blue and pink striped polo shirt or a magenta pink tank top and fun flip flops. Maybe medium gold hoop earrings and a gold beaded bracelet. Maybe a track jacket or an outdoor wear type windbreaker or fleece too in springy type bright colors. It's not just pink...it's pink with a sporty color too... like yellow green or blue in there..
It is fun.. warm.. inviting.. happy...casual and care-free.
The longer this remains on my skin, the more I enjoy it. At first I thought it was just another Jessica Simpson/Britney Spears vanilla bomb, but over time my opinion changed. I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's an interesting blend of white flowers and gourmand yummy things. Sometimes I think I smell gardenia. Other times I get touches of orange and some kind of gooey berry jam...all with a drizzle of creamy caramel. Sounds scrumptious, no?
I went through a sample and liked it as an every day scent. A friend let me fill up a Travalo with her perfume. I like to wear this sometimes, but not enough to buy it. With this and the original perfume, you're paying for the ultra expensive and heavy glass bottle. I don't think the juice is as expensive, but it still smells nice. I can see why it's appealing to many women in different age groups.
I was introduced to Viva when I asked the perfume sales staff for a "fresh" fragrance for summer. I liked it, but i didn't love it. It smells too much like many other fragrances out there right now. Nothing original here for me. I have the original Juicy, which is so lush and thick-I was hoping for something a little more distinctive. I ended up buying Burberry The Beat instead. It stood out from the rest of the pack.
I know I should be LOVING this, but it smells very unoriginal. Considering it smells EXACTLY like Noir Tease by Victoria's Secret, which is one of my favorite scents. But I don't know, a little to strong; and WAY expensive.
If you really like it, just buy Noir Tease! Prettier bottle and way cheaper.
I'm in my early teens, so technically I should love this. I liked it at first and I don't disklike it now, but the more I smell it, it loses it's charm. After a bit, it becomes quite cloying and synthetic.
Just bought a bottle, and I'm in love. The bottle design is just gorgeous and the scent is warm yet not overly sweet. This fragrance is great for fall and winter. Viva la Juicy is definitely the best of Juicy Couture.
Oh my, what a lovely gourmand perfume Viva la Juicy is! It’s mostly about sweet notes but I don’t find it overly sweet like many other reviewers here do. I’m a big fan of gourmands and this has just about the right amount of sweetness in it. It starts off with fruits but when the sweet notes in the base come out, which they do pretty soon, they stay and stay and stay. All Juicy Coutures have a great longevity and this is no different. I only wish that I could smell the beautiful florals more but they just seem to be lost in there somewhere. But the bottle is awesome.
I’d describe Viva la Juicy as playful, youthful (but not only for youths) and happy perfume.
Love Viva La Juicy. Lasts all day, smells great. I actually can't complain about any Juicy Coutures perfumes. They all smell good to me. I have them all.
I have never been a fan of "sweet" fragrances, but Viva has had me totally hooked because it dries down to an irresistible and deliciously warm, creamy base. Not one-dimensional, but quite casual and more than a little sexy.
It probably helps that it's doesn't start out overly sweet on me--not overly sugary, or heady with vanilla. It's true though that it doesn't last more than 4 or 5 hours unless you put it on your clothes.
This perfume is so sexy. Itsbeen ojne of my favorites. Its the best scent by juicy and I will make sure I continue to always have a bottle. Its not as overrated as the origional juicy. And tease by victorias secret suspiciously smells the same, but this one is still the best!
a very subtle sexy smooth slightly candied, gourmand fragrance. ...... blended so well, almost a creamy effect.... really like this stuff... and havn't personally run into anyone that doesn't
Tried this out today in Debenhams and I can still smell it! This has been added to my christmas list, it's sweet, warm caramel goodness and four hours later I am still sniffing my wrist! Cute bottle too :)
Cloyingly sweet. I bought this because I read a few reviews somewhere that said this was similar to Marc Jacobs' Daisy. Those people must have lost their sense of smell in some tragic accident. This has a much more impressive sillage than Daisy, but unfortunately that sillage says "I'm a bimbo." If you want something loud and sweet try Gucci Rush instead (the Viva bottle IS way cuter though.) Or, try the original Juicy--it has cute fruity notes too with a little less sweetness. I like that one much better (and own it as well.)
Viva la Juicy was in my want list for so long. I desperately wanted to like it or to be exact, love, but it turned out vice versa. I'm going to click on the 'I want' button to un-'I want' it. lol. I thought I would like something caramel-y but no, I don't somehow.
I'd only sniff it this evening and felt disappointed with my nose. lol. But it might be better on my skin. I should go check it out again later. It is yummy, sensual and, err, loud? I don't like it, but don't mind if someone give this as a present. The bottle is awesome anyway ;)
a typical Barbie scent for me. when i smell this, it reminds me of those days when i sat on m bedroom floor with my friends playing barbie.. veeeeery sweet and kinda synthetic for me.
this one is a pretty mainstream fruity-floral. I don't really care for it. Bought it unsniffed at TJ Maxx, and have only used it once or twice. Too sweet and fruity, and gets kind of cloying on me after a while.
not sensual at all. really boring, liked this one first but now, it's only boring. not funny at all! all the girls loves this but all men hates this.
I love the scent of this perfume. It's sweet, creamy, vanilla goodness. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't last. And for the price tag, it should be made to last. I use it sparingly because I won't repurchase. And no, it's not because my nose it used to it. I've never worn it on a daily basis because I like to smell my perfume throughout the day, not just an hour after I get to work.
this is my signature scent in the evening...
and then it fits the best for parties... going out somewhere, relaxing, dancing, having fun with friends.
its the perfect nighttime version of the classic juicy couture... very similar in the base notes and everything, just with a little warmer, sweeter, floral and sexier side. but its not overwhelming, not pure sex or really sexy (not something i would pair with a little black dress) elegant or anything... just something very relaxed, laid back, and wonderfully romantic and joyfull and just makes you feel your gonna have one hell of a great time this night! those two juicy coutures just fit me, my body chemistry and my mood so pefectly, and another reason for my love is that i have NEVER EVER received SOOOOO many compliments on my smell like on this perfume, especially from men. i just walk by a crowd of men, and then they suddenly turn around and one tells me how amazing i smell, and the others just all agree with excitement. and then the attention is all mine for the rest of the evening, because noone can walk past me. :)
Initial feel of the fragrance:
I must say as I am not a well developed nose, as I am not a perfumer, it is quite upsetting that I can't yet pick out all the individual parts of the fragrance. But it is quite suprising, all of a sudden you get a whiff of the florals, then back to the creamy indulgence of the bases.
The fragrance itself:
My Dad just bought this for me as a present from a trip abroad. I love it, initially I can smell the vanilla and caramel with a small hint of jasmine. After about twenty minutes when the base notes have died down (they seem to be the most strongest part of the fragrance) I get the slight bitter-sweetness of Mandarin and the florals come through stronger. I haven't been wearing it for that long, and I can start to feel the honeysuckle and jasmine creep through.
Personality:
It is a great fragrance, easily wearable at any time of the year. Day to night. Girly, youthful, no punch more like wallowing in soft silky duvets and pillows... on a giant bed in the middle of a woodland surrounding you with with vases of jasmine, honeysuckle and gardenia. Just imagine that, the girly frilly duvets, the woodland and the soft flirty flowers... now whack a giant box fully of caramels, pralines and your favourite vanilla body butter. That's your fragrance.
Such an appealing fragrance, it' makes you feel good happy serine, it's candy but no overly sweet, it's ever so comforting.. I believe if you can get past the overly youthful appearance you're really going to experience a wonderful perfume .. Verry well balanced and for the type of perfume it is, it's longevity is amazing.. silage light to moderate
I used to be obsessed with this perfume, when I first got it because of the beautiful sweet floral and candy like smell. This perfume is quite strong, and only needs minimal sprays.
For me, it lasts the whole day with only a 2-3 sprays. I do like this perfume a lot when used generously. It's like a candy wonderland :) and is extremely sweet..
It's a great perfume for a young female.. It's such a fun perfume, that will leave you smelling like a candy shop. From scents of vanilla to various fruits..
The bottle is gorgeous and complements the perfume well. I would recommend this perfume.
Note: for those who do not like extra sweet perfumes, you probably wouldn't like this perfume, as you may find it over powering.
My rating: 3.8/5
Another one of my signature scents for quite awhile. I bought it, hated it, but then I smelled it on my friend Shelby and when she told me what it was, I decided to try it again. After that I loved it! :)
A Limited Edition 100ml Parfum of Viva La Juicy is launching! I'm hoping it launches in the US. I found it on an Australian site, which says it's $165, so let's hope it launches worldwide! My avatar is a pic of the bottle by the way. I'm SO excited! : )
UPDATE: EA got back to me saying the pure parfum will be $98 US. What a great price for a 3.4oz parfum! Let's hope I wasn't misinformed. Haha. : )
I realize that this perfume smells a Lil bit like Cinema Yves Saint Laurent Perfume. Only Viva la Juicy is a lighter Version. Don't get me wrong, its smell so nice and smells like a rich girl :p lol! i'm lovin it!
One of the best gourmand fragrances I have ever owned.
Viva is a gorgeous combination of fruits, sweet florals and edible base.
It lasts a long time and sometimes I catch myself sniffing around at the workplace and wondering what smells so nice before I realize it is actually me :-)
Viva is a fruit salad served with chocolate truffles yet it is far from being cloying or sticky sweet.
It induces smile every time I wear it and i get compliments mainly from men, commenting that I smell delicious.
No wonder my vain feminine ego makes me wear it as often as possible :-)
The only downside is a massive, and I mean massive, bottle.
The overall idea of the bottle design was great but someone must have supersized it to the point when it does not fit into any of my handbags and even if it did - I wouldn't dare to take it out of my handbag in public because the bottle just looks grotesque - huge, chunky, heavy piece of glass with a pink ribbon, well, you be the judge :-)
The juice itself, however, is a marvel amongst gourmand fragrances.
Has the potential to become my signature IF they start producing it in slim bottles that look like perfume bottles :-)
wow. so many review here. but seriously this is the best. very funny story. my friend bought this first and i've always liked it so i bought one for myself. when i wore it, i didn't smell the same on her. on me, it kinda smell more to fresh than towards warm (on her, it is really warm sweet candy feel). then i didn't wear for a while. one day i sprayed some and my sister ask me what perfume i use and she said it was perfect on me. since then many others praised me too, it has become my HG since then. i really love it. but till now i can't smell it on me, but it makes people around me crazy. lol
All time FAV!!! my boyfriend loves this and it hold so many good memories for me. perfect!!!!!!
I am a fan of sweet and warm perfume and this is one of my favorite. The only thing I wish to change is for the smell to last longer. It's barely there after a few couple hours:(
Very yummy! The floral fruity description is very appropriate. I'm smelling the top and middle notes now, and I think it's kind of subtle on me. To me, the dominant notes are gardenia, blackcurrant, and honeysuckle; with vanilla and caramel shyly hanging out in the background- maybe they'll get a big more outgoing by the time the drydown comes along! It's great! I'm glad I got a mini of this! Next base: full bottle!
Update: Drydown is really nice- I didn't really notice this before since I was drooling over the original Juicy Couture! On the downside, most EDPs and EDTs last at least 9 hours on me, but this one kind of went very subtle after 5 hours- not too happy about that, but it is still one of my favourites!
I love the smell, I must admit. I don't know only the first fragrance of Juicy Couture, but it's on my way.
What can I say? Couture Couture and the fragrance Peace, Love & Juicy... are more powerful but this one is maybe the easiest to wear and the most girly. Couture Couture is sweet and extravagant, Peace, Love is too but it isn't that sweet. Viva La Juicy is the lightest of all three and sweet in a girly but not kitschy way. Actually it's close to cross the kitch line in my opinion, but it doesn't. It's addicitve. The only thing I don't like is that the fragrance stays close to skin - pralines and caramel are like body lotion, so close to skin they are. Ah, and it's too expensive when it comes to its lasting power. Lately it's one of my favourites and I've paid lots of money for 7, 5 ml - and it isn't easy to find the fragrance in my country.
So, I have had this fragrance 3 times. I just went out and bought it again today. It looks a tad odd among my Chanel No. 5 and Coco.
It is yummy, fruity and just so delicious! I wore this when I was a teenager so I know it works with my skin. It makes me feel more age appropriate. This is my 5th JC bottle all together! What can I say? Addictive!
C xx
i bought for my self, in age 28.. LOL.
This scent is very charming, light, with the gourmand, i smell yummy caramel and vanilla.
open it is good, the mandarin orange. . makes you feel fresh, not boring.
i've try the original couture.. and this is better.
that is why a man like it.
but, in my skin, first try it just for 4 hours, and the price is expensive.. one of the expensive perfume that i had. but i will not regret it.
the bottle, the smell is good.:)
What a yummy smell ! everyone loves this one & it was a good one by Juicy as they always do it the best!!!!!
The Juicy Couture bottles are ADORBS. The fragrances themselves have problems. This is just sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar. Somewhat repulsive actually. My non-fumehead friends can't get away fast enough when I put a sample of this under their nose.
The good news is that if you like Flowerbomb, this is similar and way cheaper.
I agree with Habanita, I don't know what it is but in this sweet gourmand, there is a note which is quite masculin and keeps reminding me aquatic mens colognes like Eternity For Men
I kinda agree with Nukekubi who said that it's not really a light scent! 2 sprits on a sample paper (+ another perfume sample) made my bf's room smell like high school girl's room. I had to throw the samples away. (Smell was nice but c'mon it's my bf's room and guys apartment.)
So if you ask me it's not light but still a good one. I also agree with many people that it's a very teenager scent but in a pleasant way. It's sugary and it is sweet. A delicious mixture of vanilla, caramel, chocolate and a hint of fruit or berry to freshen it up. It's enough to make your mouth water and I would brush my teeth well in the evening to prevent cavities.
It doesn't really fit my perfume profile so I wouldn't probably purchase it. Still I can see myself spraying a sample on myself on a day I wanted to feel really young and girly. (I'm still young enough to easily get away with it.) After all this scent is pretty fun. (Though hopefully not nauseating in the long run.)
P.S Don't apply too much or you'll probably cause migraines!
i dont understand why on me this perfume smells too soft and after one or two hours i cant barely smell anything. this is really dissappointing for an expensive fragrance like this.
Smells really good. Sweet but not to sweet so it becomes sickly. I have VS SLTNT and i can agree with all who sais that it is a copy of this one.
They are both EDP,but since VS SLTNT isnt sold in my country, i have to buy this one when my VS SLTNT is empty. Its a pity that Viva La Juicy is so expensive :( Edit: After 10min or so,it does smell like a baby on me :s you know that cozy smell that babies skin smells like. I dont know which note that does it. But it is the same with Calvin Klein Obsession and Sheer Obsession,i need to compare the notes to see what it is that makes it. Idont get this baby smell from VS SLTNT though :D
You know, this stuff really frustrates me because it has no lasting power on me, and I've tried it on a few different occasions. The most recent one being: my boyfriend and I were in Macys and I had sprayed too much Dior Addict on before we went out and it was really bothering him and he said, spray something else to cover it up...(not that this is the best strategy) so we stumbled upon Viva la Juicy to cover up my addict. And, an hour later, all I can smell is Dior Addict. But that's probably because the notes blended really well with that potent Dior creation.
Another time I had sprayed Viva La Juicy was on a warm spring day while finishing up shopping and a lunch date. I could smell it for the first hour I had it on, and then when I asked my friend to smell it, she said she couldn't smell anything. It's a shame because gardenia + gourmand notes (caramel/vanilla) sounds heavenly if it lasted longer.
This is a fresh and very orangey floral to me. I wouldn't mind it on others but it's nothing for me because I didn't find anything outstanding in it. I'm also not into citruses and found it too herbal or even too masculine.
This perfume is lush!at first i didnt particually like it,then when it dryed down it just smelt of pure caramel, sweeties & some kind of warm smell, maybe sandelwood. All i need to do now is save! pure heaven in a bottle.
I do not like this fragrance at all. I prefer vanilla and nutty scents, and this has none to my nose. All I can smell is citrusy berries screaming for attention. This fragrance is quite linear on my skin, and does not seem to develope past the initial top notes. That is too bad. I was looking forward to the notes of praline. Bummer! But, my skin will simple not let go of those top notes. I am better off with a scent which features the creamier notes right from the start...such as Angel or Cashmere Mist.
I like it at first. But after i used it several times, it's such a headache inducer!! Too sweet and sugary for me.
You take the cap off this perfume and it juices out. Aaaahhhhh...ripe fruit on a hot summer day! Nearly edible.
This is one of the more rounded sweet scents I have found. It isn't strictly teen or young like a lot of sweets tend to be. It seems like most sweet scents get seriously geared toward the "younger" crowd. This sweet scent has some real depth. It would work well on any age. It's not sickly sweet either. It has that wonderful honeysuckle in it giving it more of a "rich" scent than a candy scent.
Usually, I'm not a fan of Juicy Couture's fragrances (I can't stand Peace, Love and Juicy Couture and Couture Couture.) However, I love this smell so much!!! It's a floral fruity gourmand. I'm so obsessed with sweet scents, especially ones with caramel. So, if you love sweet scents, try this out!
the first time i smelled this perfume, i drove my parents crazy and they had to buy me one. It has such a unique and solitary smell, I've never smelled anything so good. The smell is heady and stays on for a long time, and makes me nostalgic for some reason...will always love it!
really try to love this one, but sry, can't fall in love with it. nothing special about this one don't know y everybody over the internet gave Viva Juicy such high rating. think definitely overated
I love viva la juicy. I don't know if it smells too young, but this really makes me so comfortable with myself and I really wanna smell myself even more(yes it's weird)! I wear this to school with my 1.5ml viva la juicy sample for 3 days already, and I will buy the large bottle
Going by the notes in Viva La Juicy, and by some of the glowing reviews of it, I would have thought this could be a lovely smelling perfume and possibly worth the not particularly cheap price tag. I had a feeling though that to me it might just be another overpriced and overrated 'of the moment' perfume. I tried it today for the first time and for me it certainly doesn't live up to the hype. It was OK to begin with although not exactly spectacular, and there are so many very sweet but kind of dull perfumes flooding the perfume market at the moment which smell so similar. After a very short time I grew tired of the musty, flat, sugary smell of Viva La Juicy and it started to fade very rapidly so the staying power was also bad. Although I'm loving quite a few gourmand perfumes at the moment, Viva La Juicy isn't one of them. I found it too sugary, slightly musty, boring and lacking in staying power. When I want a sweet kick from a perfume my go to yummy scent is Hard Candy which is far better than this and with a much smaller price tag! So, thumbs down from me on this one and I'd only give it 1 out of 5 for trying (and, in my opinion, failing miserably!).
Yeay! I just bought this perfume at Singapore. I Love this perfume so so much, it's such a delicious scent. I'm in University and I find that while this scent is really sweet, it's not overpowering or too young.
Just walking in a Shopping mall last week, I had someone whispering "that girl smells really good!".
And Yes, i agree that this perfume has no lasting power. Only 2 hours on my shirt and i have to re-spray for it to 'kick-in" but i don't care about that! :p
I buy this perfume because all ower internet i read wery good reviews.i buy without smeel this perfume berofe, and it was fine, nothign special,i just wonder why everybody loves this perfume soooooooo much?
And don't lasts long too.
I absolutely love the smell of this perfume however.....
It lasted all of about 5 minutes on me and I paid a fortune for it.
A complete waste of money
Overrated and overpriced with crummy sillage and a scent that disipates almost instantly. Don't waste your money.
If you want a similar scent for a lot less money try Britney Spears Fantasy or Paris Hilton's Can Can. Much better priced and last a lot longer.
Yum! A very fruity cutie fragrance! Delicious in its own way.
super duper cute bottle..and the scent are absolutely amazing..it smell sweet but it was nice blended with the white floral which is the jasmine and gardenia..i can detect the caramel scent but is not to loud as the white floral..the lasting power is not so impressive as another gourmand scent like fantasy, pink sugar or angel..but it stil nice to wear time to time
When i came into the parfumery lady who works there gave me a sample of this fragnance. When i sprayed it i was a bit shocked, but in a positive way. It was something that I haven't smelled for a long time. Viva la juicy is beautiful and very unique parfume. At the beginning you can smell beautiful mandarine and after that nougat mixed with honey. The drydown is absolutely marvelous. Jasmine with i think vanilla and nougat-beautiful :)
This remind me of an old perfume i had years ago, maybe Benetton Hot? i'm not sure..
Bought this after i'd sampled it vaguely, it was an impulse purchase, the bottle's so cute! Currently, it works as a very expensive room spray in my dressing room.
I adore this perfume. However for the high price and the fact that it is an edu parfum, the lasting quality is disappointing.
I bought the .5 oz at Target on a whim because I was looking for something new to pick up. I'm just glad I got the small one because I'm not so much a fan after trying it out a couple times. It is so incredibly strong and gets sweeter and sweeter as time goes on. On initial spray, it reminds me somewhat of what Burberry Brit is like after the dry down, but not nearly as complex or wonderful. Then after that initial spray, it gets sweeter and sweeter and honestly makes me sick. It stays on even after 8 hrs and scubbing it with a shower. So if I ever spray it again, it will be with me walking quickly into the mist. I might just give it to my sister
Sure, it smells amazing, but am appalled at the price paid ($99 for 100 ml) and the piss poor lasting quality of this fragrance...it is gone less than an hour after I apply!! I moisturize, I lotion/oil up before spraying any fragrance and this "Viva la Juicy" does not cut it....juicy for a few minutes yes, but then it is as though the air is one big paper towel that comes and wipes the scent clean off. Beautiful, lovely fragrance, horrid lasting quality for the price. Will not be repurchasing. Boo. :(
I got it for a present this past week. It smells terrific when first applied, but after a long while, it just feels sugary. I don't know, maybe it was because I was at work and I sweat a lot due to lifting boxes and stuff, but it doesn't happen with other perfumes. I had to apply more like two times. So... I just wouldn't recommend it.
This stuff is loud and powerful - and also delicious. If you don't like sweet gourmands, this will probably give you a migraine, it's sweet, sweet, sweet.
A lovely mix of very sweet berries, white florals and caramel praline. A strange combo, but it works. Again - only if you like sweet gourmands. The berry note is somewhat soapy, but in a fresh way, like a lovely berry shower gel. I'm pleasantly surprised that the white florals come through so nicely because they could easily have been overpowered by the sweet stuff.
Nice berry-vanilla drydown.
Please go easy with this stuff - one or two sprays maximum - or you'll knock out people around you.
mmmmmmmm... I ADORE THIS! It is the best perfume I have ever smelt. It is not something I normally like, since it is very sweet and foody, but it just smells so amazing. All my friends love this aswell, and always complements me on it. It is very girly, soft and warm and it can be worn any time of the year.
I really wanted this badly. So after some time I got it. But then after I had to spritz myself ALL OVER my body AND my hair and it still would'nt last at ALL, I got rid off it. Such a waste of your money.
Viva la juicy was given to me by a friend as a graduation gift and at first I didn't really like it, I thought it was too sweet and I wasn't too used to perfumes instead of body mist. I recently picked up the bottle and sprayed it on and received a compliment from my brother, who strongly dislikes perfume. It starts off kinda sweet berry/fruity and then leaves a nice vanilla scent at the end. It isn't ridiculously strong, either.
My sister wears this and it smells really divine on her. Very pleasant, fruity, quite delicious. I can't see why people say this is light - because on her the perfume is not light at all! You can really tell it's there, but it's not nauseating. I tried it on and the sweetness is really overpowering on me, and it's very sharp - the scent does not clash well with my skins chemistry and it reminds me a lot of those Britney-perfumes. Still, for a younger person with different skin this can smell really, really nice.
(Adding on to my review)
ALSO! Someone else pointed out that this fragrance is reminiscent of Tease by Victoria's Secret and they are absolutely right. I thought I was the only one who noticed the similarity! I own Tease by VS as well.
Although of course, Tease is a shallow and one-dimensional body spray the base note is very close to Viva La Juicy.
I am always brutally honest when writing makeup/fragrance reviews and I don't kiss a** to a popular or over-hyped products.... just throwing that out there ^__^
IMO Viva La Juicy is a very pretty fragrance. I feel that "pretty" describes this scent best. Youthful? Yes. Fun? Absolutely. Charming? Definitely. Sophisticated? Ehh. Sexy? No. Overpriced? I think so.
I'm 18 but usually opt for more complex fragrances.
I owned the original Juicy Couture in 2008 and was mildly obsessed with it. I wore it pretty much everyday, no matter where I went. It was a very versatile fragrance and, like Viva La Juicy, very popular.
I ran out of JC in late 2009 and soon began missing my most prized perfume :( Every time I went to Nordstrom I would spray this on and found myself falling for this scent. I would smell it over and over and just obsess over how lovely it was! But hey, I'm a young girl. What can you expect? ;-)
I finally got around to purchasing it a few weeks ago and for some strange reason, it was a lot more fun to smell in the department store. I got EDT and like most other reviewers, the lasting quality is less than impressive. The bottle is just so gorgeous that I had to place it on my dresser of vanity. Can you blame me?
I feel very pretty and girly when I wear this fragrance (which I think was the intended purpose). That might be why it's so popular?
However, yes I do think it's overpriced and yes I think it's an overrated scent. The crazy magazine ads for it might also be a reason for it's widespread popularity. I'm glad I have this in my collection, but I'm not entirely sure I would repurchase.
I like to think of it as a great summer buy! :P
Viva La Juicy is a warmer, less sweet and more expensive version of Twilight Woods. It smells really nice, but doesn't last long on my skin.
UPDATE: Every time, I test this in the store, I like it more and more. I want a bottle for christmas!!!
I just finally bought this today its stunning but it doesn't last very long but i love it love the bottle so cute
I love VIVA LA JUICY
This scent is just perfect. i dont know what i would do without it, its sweet but can smell like flowers at the same time. you just cant go wrong with it.
GREAT!!
I really don't like this - it's way too sweet! Too much vanilla! I don't like sweet scents at all & this is like candy to me..
Juicy fruits at the top and gorgeous gardenia in the middle but a bit generic vanilla dry down a-la Fantasy.
Super cute, lasting power is amazing for a fruity floral gourmand. Sweet but not too sweet. Just juicy. Not too teenagey, but still youthful, doesn't give headaches. Fresh and clean, but still complex enough. Vanilla and caramel are done beautifully in here, it's not sticky sweet, I can get traces of black currant and mandarin orange aswell. Best fruity floral. Hands down:-)
this smells heavenly, the longevity of this is FOREVER.i smelt this on someone, and i knew i had to get it.so.. i bought the full size bottle of this only to find out that it triggered my migraine because it was too strong on me.i wore it for a week just to try and get used to the scent, but i got really sick (same with chanel no5).so i ended up giving it to my sister as a super advanced birthday present!!!hahaha
I've been wanting this perfume for a long time. It was a toss up between this and Jimmy Choo and Jimmy Choo won due to been on offer that day.
I think this will definitely be my next purchase. It is such a sweet and sexy perfume without being too teenagerish. A definite winner in my book.
I love this one, and often receive compliments when i wear it. The bottle is also gorgeous and I think suits the sweet, sugary, flirty nature of the scent inside. I have the 50ml and am abit worried I'm going to run out as I love this one so much, so trying to make it last and only wear it once a week!
A little pricey and doesn't last very long (3 hours max) are my only problems with this. But overall love it!
I was too afraid to put it on as its just too kitschy for me! Smells like juice and baby powder.. I already look half my age, I don't want to smell like it!
Finally tried this one and made sure that it's not in competition for my next purchase of a feminine scent.
Viva La Juicy is basically a high school prom queen. It says, I'm young, I'm pretty, I'm rich, and I feel that I can do whatever I want, although I'm not quite sure what I want to do.
It would've worked well on a 16/17-year-old; but if you're over 23, you should forget about it.
I have a tiny bottle of actual perfume which was only $6 so i'm glad that i'm not out of lot of money. There are definanately fruit notes that are coming out right away, so i thought it would be your average fruity floral. Ah, no because only few minutes later it mellows out kind of fast into vanila and amber. I can still smell fruit(mostly mandarin, i don't smell berries at all) but there is definate tinge of sweet vanilla coming through. For lot of fragrances, its takes several hours to reach the base notes but with this, its only minutes. After you get to vanilla and praline, that's where it stays. Meh..Its not what i was expecting but still, its nice. I do think however, that this perfume is very overhyped and overpriced as someone already said. I mean, its nice but not to die for. I also have an issue, like many others with its lasting power. Can it possibly be any worse-i have perfume and it only lasts 1.5-2 hours. I can't even imagine how bad edt is. Oh, wait, i can-i just realized that when i was in store, i sprayed edt and it immeditately turned into skin scent. I remember thinking "are you kidding me?" Original JC is a very long lasting scent so i think this is a major flop in that department. I can see young girls liking this as its very sweet fruty gourmand scent, i can totally picture someone who likes JC clothes wearing this. This fragrance is very unoffensive and likable. I would say its a day scent that you can wear pretty much anywhere. However, while the scent is pleasant enough, its not worth the money due to somewhat average scent and terrible lasting power. Not a repurchase for me
I just had to spray this on again after leaving my review, and it donned on me exactly what this smells like: fresh cherry blossoms and DiSoranno Amaretto!
So rich and sensual. Tell your friends! Tell the world how wonderful this is!!!!
I just tried a sample of this, and let me tell you, I can definetly see what all the buzz is about with this one.
Extraordinary! Yummy, rich and decadent seductive carmel power! Very sweet(but not sickening) and lilting. A "come-hither" scent all the way! I have to say, though, that I can't picture anyone over 40 wearing this. It does seem to be a more youthful scent, but I'm 34, so I guess I still have some time!
very fancy scent! smells girlish but expensive and stylish at the same time. very very sweet and warm. guess if i would wear this every day i would be quickly bored of it. reminds me to fancy by jessica simpson in some point, but this one is quite a bit over the top to enjoy it the same - it can become easily a bit sickening.
Viva la Juicy has a very good staying power, sillage is average. bottle stunning.
It is unbelievably gorgeous and hot! I love it because it smells like... Gold-washed sparkling fairy's skin. I know that is wierd but the smell is some sort of a fairytale.
However, I will not buy it because almost all the girls I know have one. I want to smell unique, not like every other girl who passes by.
Such perfumes are demanded JC! Churn out more similarities please.
This is my first fruity floral and I think that I've hit the jackpot.I never imagined that I would like it so much. It's predominantly floral and the fruit is blended in and not sharp or masculine at all. It's strong in a pleasant and very natural smelling way, just really juicy, as it says on the tin. The big heavy bottle gives it a sumptuous feel and it sprays well. But on me it has no staying power at all, and for that reason I would not buy it again, but I'm enjoying it by respraying often till it's finished.
I cannot imagine anyone not liking this perfume. It's just sort of the smell of exuberance, to me!
I suppose I always wondered why perfumes were so serious smelling when I was younger, subconsciously. I think it is why I was never a scent monger.
Now well into my 30s', they are making perfumes like this. To me, perfumes like these are the smell of happiness, not necessarily youth.
I like a stronger old school perfume, sometimes, when I want to feel powerful.
The scent is long lasting and fairly consistent in it's character, on me, for around 3-4 hours. That's a long time for a perfume to last on me, for some reason.
This is the scent that launched my interest in perfume for me, after all of these years. I have my 15 yr. old for introducing me to this scent and spawning a raging addiction to scent. I try to stick to the rule, "only buy if it's on sale".
I'd make an exception here. This stuff is NEVER on sale!
This was my first higher-end perfumes and it remains one of my absolute favorites. I's really sweet and girly. I find myself wearing this when I can't decide what kind of perfume I want to wear that day. It's a really easy to wear fragrance. :)
Love. <3
LOVELYYYY!!! smells soft but for so long on me, sweet and perfect!!! ♥
I absolutely think that this is my all time favorite happy smelling fragrance. I wish that it would last longer. I have found that using the lotion and the fragrance together helps it last. I will be bying this one over and over.
Let me start off by saying this perfume is beautiful ....this perfume can either go sweet or floral on your skin. I have recieved so many compliments from men and women all ages. It goes on my skin vanilla scent and floral and sweet and the same time.
Young, fresh and sweet! But I wish it would last longer especially since it's an EDP and it's a lot more expensive than some edps that last a lot longer. Sometimes I can't even smell it after I spray it on.. Hmmm.. I have to spray 5 times to smell it.
There is something in this that makes the membranes in the back of my throat contract in horror. I'm not sure what ingredient is in there, but I'm certain I'm allergic to it.
It smells nice, but sort of common to me. It's not particularly "gourmand"...sort of a muddle of citrus and sweet at the top with something very strong and "dusty" taking up space (but that might be how I'm perceiving the allergen). The drydown is okay.
Out of all the juicy couture perfumes this is defiantly my favorite. It is very similar to Vitoria secrets "tease" and it can be pretty pricey !
I returned this scent to the store, it wasn't that I didn't love it, it is just as yummy as people say it is. So why did I return it? I had bought Dana Forbidden Tabu about a month prior to purchasing this, and although they don't appear to share many of the same notes, on me they are identical. However, Forbidden Tabu cost me only $17, and I didn't feel I could justify spending more than twice that just to have the brand recognition.
I love Viva La Juicy! It's very sweet, smells fantastic. I mostly get the floral/vanilla smell. I was told that I may have to spray twice a day because it wears of after a few hours. They were correct. I find myself having to reapply halfway through the day. =[ When I was purchasing it, I couldn't decide between Viva La Juicy and Daisy by Marc Jacobs. I only slightly regret my choice... I was told Daisy would last much longer throughout the day (probably just one application a day). Each time I have to reapply Viva La Juicy, I worry how soon I will run out. I bought the 1 fl oz bottle.
Adding to my review:
I discovered that this perfume lasts longer when sprayed on my clothing or even my hair. It fades too quickly when applied to my skin. Still love it, though!
Viva La Juicy is a really great gourmand fragrance and thus far the only Juicy Couture I like enough to own. I had the original JC, however, I wasn't able to get into it and thus returned it. JC was more floral on me than anything and I'm not crazy about heavy florals but fortunately VLJ is more gourmand sweetness than white flowers which I love. Many recommend Viva for summer yet I believe it can be worn year round due to the warm caramel and praline base. Viva La Juicy is very delicious but I wish it lasted longer than 4-6 hours on my skin, as it is an EDP.
Overall I'd highly recommend this fragrance for any age group (not just young women) and any season.
8/10 for this versatile, happy, and sweet scent.
For days I was trying to figure out why one row of cubicles at my work smelled like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Come to find out, it was the perfume one of my coworkers was wearing. I asked her what it was and low and behold it was Viva La Juicy! Don't get me wrong, it smells really good in a 31 Flavors nostalgia way, but I never would have guessed these notes would have translated to that scent. lol. Interesting. :)
Being 28 I had to come to grips and just deal with the fact that I really love this fragrance. Should someone my age be purchasing vials of Chanel? Maybe but my nose still finds its way to the sweet scents and Viva La Juicy makes me happy! Berries and slight citrus, caramel and vanilla dry down - a yummy summer treat!
My all-time favorite scent is Kat Von D's Saint and Viva is very similar - almost all the notes are the same (with the exception of Saint having plum citrus and this one having berry citrus) but I had to make the switch due to Viva having amazing staying power. I can jet 1-2 sprays on myself or clothes and the fragrance can be detected even hours later.
The bottle is lovely but a little loud. The scent will be great for spring/summer.
I love this fragrance alot, however it wears off really quickly :(
This scent is total yummyness in a bottle!
Light, soft, sweet, yummy, heavenly creaminess - absolutely delicious!
The caramel and vanilla are very prominent which makes you want to eat it!
I find myself constantly smelling the atomiser spray. I can not get enough of this scent.
Definitely a spring/summer scent.
I highly recommend this fragrance to all gourmand lovers! In my opinion it is the best gourmand scent there is.
The staying power is great, very long lasting! I can still smell this on me hours later.
I can not fault this perfume. It is perfection in a bottle!
This perfume is yummy you feeling like eating it seriously one of my favorite perfumes at the moment.!!!! sexy in a sweet delicious way
I love it. One of my favorites. I just finished a bottle and will definitely buy it again
I like the scent very much it's just a bit intense... The staying power is great though. If I spray it on in the morning it still smells strong it in the evening.
It smells very delicious! But the staying power is so poor. It stays on for max 2-3 hours. Sometimes I spray it in my hair, that way the smell is noticeable a lot longer. Perfect for spring and summer.
Sometimes I kinda wanna taste this perfume haha! Seriously though I kinda bought this for the ADORABLE bottle. Just love the bow! Lucky me I really liked the scent too.
There's just one thing I don't really like about it and that's the lasting time, It doesn't last very long on my skin at least which is really sad but hey it's pretty too look at so I don't mind spraying it on once in a while ;)
This smells like a popular girl wearing Juicy Couture from head to toe. Seriously, I don't know how they managed to make a perfume that SMELLS just like that, but it does. Something very unique and trendy about it. I like it but it doesn't suit my style.
I do not no where to begin with this perfume. I LOVE this! It is just one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled. I tested this in several stores before I spent the big bucks on a big bottle of this and every time I tested this I smelled my wrists obsessively for hours after each test totally mesmerized by its fabulous scent. I am obsessed!!! One of my favorites of all time......YUM!!!!!!!
I tried this the first time in the summer, which, for me, was a mistake. The gardenia took over and became a bit too heavy sweet. To be fair I also have to master the art of spraying just a "little bit" on my wrist when I test things--I put too much on the first time too and this is not one to over do. Now that it is very cold out I tested this again, being tempted by the caramel and praline notes which I love. Now with the right amount and the right weather I find this to be a lovely, well balanced perfume. It starts out a bit fruity, then flowers, the gardenia stays lovely, never overbearing, but very lush. The praline is just wonderful...it's not sticky sweet on me at all but rather it blends with the gardenia and makes it just yummy. I had my husband smell my wrist about an hour in and he said "That is gorgeous" (He likes perfumes:) True when he asked what it was I hesitated because I knew he'd laugh, and he did but that aside there is nothing silly about Viva La Juicy...if anything it is on the sophisticated side of gourmand.
At first, I didn't want to purchase because every teenager on the planet was wearing this one. However after Christmas, Burlington was having a 50% off sale of their perfume sets and I purchased a set for $17 (.5 ED Parfum, 1.7 Oz. shower gel, and 1.7 Oz. lotion) Now I want a larger bottle because this scent is absolutely delightful. ( It doesn't last long which is one thing I don't like! The .5 Oz will have to be my purse size because you will have to reapply after 2 or 3 hours. Upon first spray, I really can smell the berries and gardenia. For the woman over 30 don't be fearful to go out and try this scent...it is for the mature sophisticated woman too!
Mmmm. I can detect champagne and caramel. And that lovely gardenia smell. Don't think I have smelled this fragrance in any other perfumes. It's fresh floral and light. Floral being the gardenia that smells so wonderful. Perfect for summer days.
all i can smell is chocolate and candy. youth version of juicy couture woman i guess. but for the price, i don't really think that this is worth it.
Hi Ditsch & Napiergirl!! The sister perfume to this one with more strength and AMAZING staying power is Ungaro 2007 for women. I love both these perfumes VERY much!
Smells sweet and expensive. Suitable for young feminine girls. Last only about 4 hours on my skin. As an EDP, i expected it to last longer.
This perfume is my all time favorite perfume (:
It such a nice rich, sweet smell without being overpowering. I love it so much!
I've had 3 bottles!
Got this last year and it is very nice ...but i just wish it had something else to it , it just seems to be lacking a little sumthing sumthing ????? Other than that its a good fume .
It has a very sweet almost sickly sweet smell out of the bottle. But once on the skin, it begins to smell warm and sweet, and takes on a pleasant, very feminine tone. But it is rather strong on me. Not masculine musky, but strong floral with a hint of fruit and feminine type musk. Warm though, for sure.
Don't ask me why I decided to walk knowingly and willingly down the path to a diabetic coma today, but I did. Perhaps it was the commotion and confusion of the coming new year.
Juicy Couture VIVA LA JUICY is a syrupy white floral. This is better than COUTURE COUTURE (to my nose, a grape jelly disaster) but not as nice as the original JUICY COUTURE (which is, I hasten to add, more likeable but still rather sweet for me...). My impression is that the perfumers may have mixed the two together and then thrown in a Big White Floral monster as well to ramp up the perfume-y feeling.
There is a lot going on here, and I do find the notes to be of decent quality, but my nose is basically paralyzed by the sweetness. I would recommend this fragrance to those who love both Big White Florals and Super Sweet Syrup--think AMARIGE, only with a modern twist and geared for younger wearers who have been weaned on sweets rather than chypres. Definitely not for me.
I am pretty obsessed with this perfume! I have never found a perfume I love as much as this one. Beautiful, feminine, and sexy. Not overpowering or offending. Highly recommend to anyone, especially 20's (it seems to attract a slightly young 20's crowd), but could probably suit anyone. So far, this is my favorite perfume.
I received this fragrance for christmas and it smells SOOOO good!! I hated the peace, love and juicy couture scent and was worried this would smell like it but I was wrong it smells so fresh and lovely. I definitely recommend it as a summer fragrance :)
I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! It smells so sweet, yummy and irristable to anyone standing around you. This is the perfume I get the most compliments about. This is a pure aphrodisiac for men!
I do LOVE this but it almost overwhelms me to the point I cant take it UNTIL it settles down , then its in my top 5. One thing I can say about it is that it has a rich , classy smell to it and once it settles down it smells very feminine and well , JUICY !
i love to wear this to go to sleep! The mandarine, honeysuckle, caramel, praline, calm me down and bring me to the dreamland in peace and sweetness! Love it for winter day ,when i miss summer! Love it in summer night, when i feel like a fairy! It is a loved one in deed! Mwah! Viva la juicy!
viva la juicy is a great fragrence! couture did a very nice job!
(whoopsie, put the review on the wrong one)
Wow, this starts off so promising. A fresh, clean, uplifting berry mix. The most beautiful and endearing synthetic fruit I have smelt in a long time. It was at this stage I was wondering what all my esteemed fellow reviewers were so critical of?
Sadly, this deteriorates into jam. Pure sugar mixed with fruit, heated and congealed into a pulpy concoction of dubious quality. There is a reason jam is put on toast with butter you know - to mitigate the gagging sweetness. It was at this stage that I realised my fellow esteemed reviewers had in fact been very charitable in thier reviews.
No indeed, even as a teenager I would not have worn this embarrassing cartoon-esque perfume.
I like this fruity perfume!
Its not too sweet or overpowering.Sadly I doesnt last very long on my skin. I think I have to layer with a moistuizer before applying because it lasts for maybe 2-3 hours. The dry down is so warm, delicious and vanilla I love this!...Overall, really juicy and nice scent!
WARNING: very short silleage!
I just sprayed this on 2 minutes ago but so far so good, I'm getting the orange and honeysuckle right now I very much look forward to the drydown as all those notes are among my favorites. VLJ seems to stay very close to my skin which is fine, sometimes I like a not in your face scent. I'm now picking up some gardenia, a nice gardenia not an overpowering gardenia. We'll see if my husband likes it, he tends to like sweet scents on me and this one is not overly sweet but I think it will do...I'll at the very least use up my sample. Update: This may very well be a keeper, it just keeps getting better! The jasmine has showed up and it's also a little "fruity" now...in a good way!
I am really not liking this fragrance.
It has a nice opening. Black current and mandarin.
& the white floras are even ok, its just the base notes that arent so hip and cool with me. They are sickly sweet and it may be the praline i just aint feeling.
Its reminiscent of Britney Spears "Believe" and they both have praline. Surprisingly, i hate Believe as well.
I admit, i was going to do a blind but, just for the adorable package, but i'm glad i didnt.
i absolutely love the mingling of gardenia with black currants, carmel and pralines. oh my god its heaven to my senses. beautiful and womanly. just gorgeous.
i really really enjoy this perfume it smells soooo good, but everytime i wear it it always smells different every time one day it could be really sweet another day could be really caremel or orangey the next so its funny but i love it!!!!!!
This to me, is a true gourmand. This is a very tasty fragrance. Dominating notes to my nose are, juicy blackcurants, mandrain orange and nutty praline. Its very cheerful and easy to wear.
It is very fresh and lively, but I am 41 and it's too young for me. I got some from a friend and re-gifted it to my 15 year old niece. I think it's perfect for teens.
love this! smell like caramel. very sweet..i can smell the citrus mandarin orange at the beginning, then only caramel. but the only problem is, it not last on my skin..just 2 hours or less thats it. i have to spray on my shirt to make it last longer.
i adore the cute bottle!
Very sweet, almost too sweet. Straight from bottle it is best for younger women. However I like to test or "layer" some perfumes. I mixed a little lang lang and dried tangrine rind and it smelled much more complex
I expected successor to Juicy Couture edp, but actually I was wrong. JC was way better in my opinion. Viva seems just quite ordinary ‘glance & glam’ fruits and flowers. To it’s defense, it’s very pleasant and nice, but.. There’s way too many pleasant & nice’s out there…
Juicy Couture's "Viva La Juicy" is a very popular fragrance and I understand its appeal among the masses. It smells good and has decent sillage, and if given to me as a gift, I'd probably wear it. However, I'd never buy it for myself, simply because its composition has been done way too many times already. While testing this perfume on my wrist, my first impression was I've smelled this before. This fragrance is very identical to Kat Von D's "Sinner." While spraying both "Sinner" and "Viva La Juicy" on opposing wrists I couldn't tell them apart. They both have similar notes of boozy madarin oranges in the top notes and also vanilla base notes. They both actually can pass for Calvin Klein "Euphoria's" little sisters, except that they're not as headier, intense or sexier as "Euphoria." They're more like her flirty and impressionable litle sisters pretending to be an adult. I think "Viva La Juicy" is a good fragrance, but I think the original "Juicy" was a better fragrance. It had more originality, character, and personality. IMO "Viva La Juicy" pales in comparison to it's predecessor. Casual and modern scent, can be worn everyday and ideal for the fall.
I like this perfume. I really smell the honey but it is also very fruity. Staying power is descent, I am enjoying this perfume but I wouldn't buy it again.
The note that I get the most in this is mandarin oranges. I usually hate citrusy perfumes but the touch of caramel makes it so good! Very sweet and delicious.
I just got this today. I'm thinking of collecting all of the Juicy Couture fragrances as I think that they are really good quality, youthful and original. I have the original in my collection, Couture Couture and now Viva la Juicy. This fragrance is lovely, different fom the first JC it's more floral than gourmand. This is sweet vanilla dominated scent. To my nose I can detect a tobacco or smoke note that is not listed but that I find very sexy. I find this scent sophisticated and intriguing a must try for the perfume collector. The dry down reminds me slightly of a more tamed Burberry Brit.
From a guys point of view, this Viva La Juicy is actually likable. I would say this is the 1st Juicy Couture that I tried and liked. The scent is quite creamy with sweet fruity floral caramel vanilla. It isn't overly sweet either. As it sets on my skin, it gets a bit synthetic which actually works well the whole palatte. This is a must give gift for all girlfriends out there. Put it on the wish list everyone!
Owh I love this frag! It smells so foody-delicious like something that you can eat right away!
To my nose it is more to fruity-gourmand frag as I can detect caramel and mandarin oranges in it.It has this soft and milky smells that I love so much!
The best part, it really turns my hubby on! ;)
Nah, I don't like it. I don't feel any floral fruity gourmand, I feel fruity, but so little that I might say it's even nothing. Maybe my chemistry. Or maybe because in the morning I tested Casmir by Chopard and that was a very powerful scent. That little something is actually beautiful, but not enough to have a bottle.
All I can really say about this fragrance is that I love it! I would call it a sophisticated scent, with a little bit of fun mixed in with it. It is expensive,so be sure that you love it before you buy it.
just bought this perfume..its very light...sweet...just can't really explain how the smell like..but it definitely sweet, feminine & light fragrance...love it...but for me it just like another yummy sweet scent out there nothing special...it just juicy couture brand that make this special n freakin' expensive..:)

The fragrance

I was surprised to find I really enjoy Juicy Couture's VIVA LA JUICY. I don't like the brand in general and I dislike their first fragrance, but I love the subtle sweetness of this.
VIVA LA JUICY lives up to its name by opening with sweet and juicy notes of mandarin and a hint of strawberry. On me the top notes seem to mask the heart, so I can't detect any floral notes at all and the top notes seem to last longer. This doesn't really upset me; I'm not a great lover of floral fragrances.
It's the base of vanilla, amber and creamy caramel that really won me over. Yes, it's sweet. But it prevented from becoming syrupy and heavy by the creaminess and being close to the skin.

The bottle

The bottle is tacky, but fun. It's a simple squared design with heavy glass and the brand emblem on the front.
They've jazzed it up with a big pink bow around the bottle neck, the bow has a little charm that reads 'Couture' hanging from it. Then the designers jazzed up the bow by adding a gold coloured safety pin, which has a 'J' charm attached to it.
You can use the charms as jewellery - The safety pin would make a nice brooch.

Other buying considerations

My main disappointment is the lasting power. It goes close to the skin after little more then a hour, while it's gone after four at most. If it cost less I wouldn't think it's that big a deal - freshening up sprays are easy enough, but as VIVA LA JUICY costs double the amount of many longer lasting fragrances I'm not impressed.
It does justify the cost when it comes to wearability. The fruits are light and airy and the sweet base is warming but non-cloying, so it is agreeable all year round. The sweetness is 'adult' enough for work and as it's close to the skin it's a good choice for intimate evenings out and for crowded clubs too.

My opinion
- - - - - - - - -
I really like this fragrance and have just used up my 50ml bottle, but I'm not going to replace it. This is mainly a cost versus lasting power - I personally can't justify spending the money when I know many cheaper products last longer on me.
The other reason for me not re-buying is there are many other fragrances that use the fruity top notes/soft florals/vanilla base* combination, so I can see myself becoming bored with VIVA LA JUICY in the not-too-distant future.
* For a cheaper alternative try Paris Hilton Siren EDP (online retail only).
At first,it is very warm and the caramel was the most prominent, mixed with the other top notes, makes a sweet, tart, girly smell. But now,it is the black current and the mandarin thta's the most prominent, the lasting power sucks, but the bottle is good to keep in a room as a decoration.
VLJ is a grown-up cheerleader: a lollipop-sucking lovely, bubbly & vivacious, a perky pink froot-shoot wake-up call in the morning.
She’s intent on embracing the current trend for all things 80's by backcombing & over-spraying her mango-shampooed hair, applying plenty of goey fruit-scented lippy & wearing plenty of eye-popping, foot stomping designer day-glo.
She’s a whirlwind of buzz on a candied fruit cocktail ship destined for the sunny side of life. WhoopWoo! You should hate her, she’s Miss Congeniality with balls on hyper-drive, but she is a comely, cheery creature beneath the chatter & the slap &, above all, she’s a refreshing bit of fun.
Understandably likeable for lovers of jolly, fruity frags but sadly on me it just doesn’t work. The fruit melange has a hair spray/plastic & slightly sour-off note on my skin, the floral-sweetness becomes too high, the strength & lasting power far too weak.
On the right person, this is a pleasant scent that will put a smile on your face. A little too bouncy for me - too perky, too bubblegum-cute, too dolls head, fruit chews & juicy tubes. I’d have loved an addition of some bitter leaves to go with all those fruits, a bit more sandalwood & a lot more staying power.
Sad to say but no staying power... but I do like it. I'm not very happy about this one, it smells really good but it's not worth the price, my opinion it just faded away after maybe 3hrs then you have to apply it again. I Like Juicy Couture better. This one has to be layered with the lotion and shower gel to make the scent last longer.
men love this perfume. wear this, and you'll get compliments all day/night.
actually more sophisticated and ladylike than one would expect from such a youthful brand. this one is my favorite-reminds me quite a bit of burberrys' scents-clean smelling and not very fruity on my skin.
Is it just me but does the original Juicy Couture smell like Grandma?
Viva la Juicy is absolutely delicious. To me, it smelled like lightly simmered coconut over warm vanilla with a nice concoction of mild florals save the overpowering of that grandma shit. :)
It's like perfect. I actually can't decide if my Abercrombie 8 is better or not. And that was my number one.
Soooo overall speaking, viva la juicy has a classic appeal. No powder, thank goodness.
Finally tested and purchased this one today along with juicy couture (JC). I do find that JC stays on longer than the Viva La Juicy (VLJ). The VLJ spot on my wrist is almost totally gone unless it really is and I am imagining it being there.... I asked my hubby if he liked the scent when I got home and he said he doesn't smell anything...and this is like 2hrs after it was sprayed on my wrist. He did pick up and LOVED the scent of JC though.
It's now been like 4hrs since they both have been sprayed on my wrist and the JC wrist smells like I just sprayed it on whereas the VLJ wrist is unscented.
Makes me wonder if I should return the VLJ.....??????.... anyway I recall REALLY loving both at Kohls and I am happy I purchased them both. Maybe I will figure a way around it and possible carry the VLJ around with me so I can freshen up.
Anyway I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!
I bought it today .... and reminds me of the smell from my childhood dolls that smell sweet and dear, no doubt a memorable scent.
However, I still prefer the original juicy couture.
But in my opinion the two perfumes are very accomplished!
this one smells sweet and cute, but very VERY light, my nose barely picks this one up. when i spray it i can't smell much but it leaves a pleasant, clean scent on my clothes. i prefer bolder scents so this not a favorite of mine, but i'd recommend this to anyone who loves a light hint of floral as their perfume :)
Sorry Schnuppernase but you are completely wrong! It's in the Top 10 sales list in Germany. Please get your facts right. And I think there is no need to attack other people's opinion about a certain scent only because you feel different about it. We all post our very subjective description, opinion and feeling about scents here. That's the purpose of this website.
I find this fragrance really interesting: so sweet, but not sugary, more like an expensive praliné. A bit floral, but not too much! SIMPLY YUMMY!!
I own the classic Juicy Couture, as well, but there´s a big difference between them. The classic one is fizzy sweet and floral, this one is only sweet and warm.
I like it very much!
I know it´s very popular in the USA, but I don´t know anyone German who wears this (I think it´s really sad that young people here aren´t so interested in such beautiful things).
For me, this is an exquisite and unique perfume.
There is someone here calling this "cheap". This person relates sweet with cheap. BUT there is a BIG difference between drugstore-sweet and prestige-perfume-sweet!!! "Schreib´s dir hinter die Ohren." (means: write it behind your ears)^^
I had so high hopes for this one, after all these reviews I thought this would be my new scent ... but I'm refusing. I thought it would be unique und exquisit but I think it's too much jasmine, too sweet and it's missing a powdery/herb antagonist that could make it interesting and different.
It smells like a bunch of girly girls with backcombed hair, too much make up, plastic fingernails who squeek the high c for 60 seconds when they greet each other.
Oh well! We've all been there! ;)
Viva la fruit bowl. Viva la grape juice. Cant get into any of the Juicy's. Its like a fruit bowl in a bottle.
I've been wearing it for about four hours now, and I have to say I just can't seem to like any of the Juicy frags. It started out with loads of syrupy sweet orange and fake jasmine (which I hate), but I gave it a little while to change as it dried down. It didn't change much... way too sweet, with this horrible rotten-fruit smell that was reminiscent of the original. Right now, I get a slightly fruity/powdery note, but it's mostly gone. Definitely wouldn't buy.
I finally got me a bottle of Viva 2day!!! Ive been wanting it ever since it came out! I got it at Marshalls. My friend works there and I got her discount so it was even cheaper!! Im so excited!! Its yumminess in a bottle! Berries & Caramel!!! I LOVE it!!! Its the best Juicy scent! The orignal and Couture Couture are just awful to me. It smells just like a Grape Tootsie Pop to me. LOL! Im crazy!! I couldnt be more happy w/ it. I love the bottle and the bow and everything about it. Its perfection and do give it a try if u can. : )
I love, passionately love, irresistibly love, this perfume. I've never smelled anything like it & I adore it. It's like a caramel-vanilla sugary beautiful scent but not overwhelming for me. When I wear it I just want to eat myself! My boyfriend loves it too. You've just got to try it! Great work, JC.
But when will they bring out another Mens fragrance???? I think it's about time for one - They've shown they can do much better than Dirty English (which I'm not a huge fan of) so come on JC give us the goods!!!
very tart sweet and foody.i can smell black currant mandarin orange and the caramel.i agree it is pricey.but this frag doesnt last long it lasts about 2-3 hours on me.quite disapointed but mind as well keep the bottle.
smells good lasting power is ok I guess but for the price it should stay on for days. But it smells just like Betsey Johnson but a bit weaker. I have Betsey so I may return this.
I got apricot smell at first, but the base had never become smelling on me like all the notes listed here. I liked drydown on the Couture better.
got the roller ball perfume, just to try it...and thank goodness I didn't buy the big bottle!
Just VERY flowery, and cloying, and intrusive. It's got quite the "look at me, I'm wearing heavy perfume" smell to it.
Whenever I've worn it, I always feel obnoxious...like everyone is wondering who's the tramp wearing the cheap perfume.
Just didn't smell good on me...
This did indeed start out juicy and fresh with fruitiness, but in the end it reminded me too much of bathroom air freshener. I'm planning to return the bottle.
My favourite! Absolutely beautiful and it will always be my favourite. It's great for summer however i find that i must spray it constantly every hour :(
omg!!!!i ♥ that perfume it smellz f'nn bomb
Viva La Juicy is a very light perfume from it's top to it's base. I don't really get berries nor flowers, just a light sweetness of caramel, pralines and maybe some honeysuckle. It's easy to wear, easy-going, youthful and fun perfume. It draws heaps of compliments from men whenever I wear it. The bottle might be a bit tacky but looks interesting on your dressing table.
This frag makes me happy!love the fruits and the caramel notes!mwahvervellous!
Love this perfume it makes me happy. This reminds me of my youth candy summer days playing in the sunshine with friends. Its youthful carefree and so much fun with the fruity notes.I love this perfume.
Pee-yu! It is a disgusting smell. Those reviewers who described berries or spices in this one did it too much justice. It is just plaid bad cloying sweetness and it smells really cheap. I cannot believe people are paying so much money and lauding this as a good perfume.
To my nose this one is the most wearable of all 3 Juicy Couture scents (actually I really dislike the other ones, especially Couture Couture).
It does not smell very distinctive, actually like most of the floral fruitys but the praline base makes it sweeter than other floral fruitys on the market. I would define it as a young scent, suitable for teens or girls in their early twenties.
Not my thing, but I probably would never buy a JC fragrance as I really hate everything about this brand. I know this should be the smell I should care about but I truly believe this brand just sells overpriced things which are really nothing special.
I'm 12 and i just opened my presents this morning; everything was from juicy and viva la juicy perfume was one of my gifts. Its AMAZING. I cannot stop smelling it. Its so sweet you like just cant get ur nose away from it. Its not too strong, but it still stays on for a long time. get it. its ah-mazing.
I got a sample of this and I like it. I don't smell the wild berries but I do smell the mixture of Honeysuckle and Mandarin. And I honestly cannot smell anything else except the sandalwood afterwards.
I'm not sure if I like this perfume. But mainly because I bought this on ebay, which I believe it isn't an authentic product. The scent doesn't last long at all. Lesson learned! I'll never buy perfume from ebay again. It smells yummy sweet, which is okay for me. Nothing special.
Well I admit I wasn't a fan of Juicy Couture Eau de Couture (I believe it was the pepper)so I avoided this one. However I received it in a sample set so I checked it out, and I like it.
I prefer it after a couple of hours because the dry down is nice. The beginning is quite similar to Avril Lavigne Black Star and Cacharel Amor Amor, both of which I "kind of liked" at first but grew tired of after an hour or so. Viva La Juicy is saved by it's dry down. I still don't see myself buying the big bottle though.
Oh, I could care less if someone loves it, hates it or only wishes to use it as a shoe deodorizer. Totally fine! I have given my fair share of harsh reviews. I don't mind. I was directing my comment towards your overall hatred for Juicy Couture fashion. Along with someone else comparing it to acne popping up through "cheap" makeup. Hence the snooty comment I typed. Seeing as how this is a perfume forum I don't see how commenting on what grown women wear clothing wise applies to perfume. Personally, I don't care what people wear. It's none of my business. Everyone has their own style and look, from Gothics to Hippies. I'm 36 and would squeeze my apparently "elderly" butt into some overly expensive velour with a cutesy phrase across my cheeks if I had the body for it. I don't care what fashion standards I am supposed to fit into. I'll continue to wear my boots, spritz on my "loud" perfume and enjoy my life. :)
To each their own.
One of my favorite scents is called Acqua di Gio, and I saw it being bashed and compared to "toilet bowl cleaner" in one review. Was I upset? Of course not! Each one of us is entitled to an opinion - isn't it the purpose of this forum? As for Viva la Juicy, I believe it is a fair representation of the brand. Juicy Couture seems aimed to girls in their teens and early twenties, but somehow it became a sensation among fully grown women.(At least in my corner of the world.) The line is mostly comprised of pastel-colored, inexpensive but overpriced velour sweatsuits with cutesy (and shimmery) words across the bum, message tees and other teen-oriented items with the Juicy logo printed all over - which is perfectly fine for a teenager. Nonetheless, I can't help but squirm at the sight of women in their 30's and 40's dressed like that. Not only does it look caricatural, but it exposes an abundance of things that are best kept covered. As I said, I disliked this scent way before I found out what it was, but once I did it made sense. It seemed like a mishmash of extremely sweet scents and harsh patchouli bottled together. It was also attention-grabbing, and it permeated everything in sight. It was as if a very young girl tried to put an outfit together and wound up looking like a jumble of several shades of pink and red. She looks adorable because she is a child. As an adult, she would look plain odd. PS: Thank you for correcting my spelling mistake. English is my third language, and I am still in process of learning it. (Guess I'll always be.)
I do not know what there is to abhor about Juicy Couture. I like their styles, love their boots 'especially' and find their fragrances to smell very, very nice. I even love the name Juicy Couture! Sure, they're very expensive and I can't walk in off the street to buy whatever I want whenever I feel like it, but every once in awhile I am able to afford a bottle of perfume or a pair of those boots and it makes me happy........
Just as this perfume does. :D I love it. It's sweet and a little sexy. I guess you'd find this boring if you're into perfumes that have 1000 ingredients in them that were jetted in from exotic islands from all over the world, but not all of us are looking for something that complicated. This is a pretty scent. Not unique, but suits me just fine.
I don't understand some of these snooty reviews....
There is one thing that unites all Juicy Couture fragrances - a boring, plane and predictable base. And though all of them start out rather happily - here it`s pretty white flowers, squeeze of citrus juice, bite of a berry - the vague and mumbling base comes fast, erasing everything that was supposed to be good in this perfume. Wearing it is like hiding a huge zit under cheap make up - sooner or later it will rise and shine...through.
There is so much more better and cheaper perfume carrying the similar message - sometimes horribly underpriced - and to see all those juicy monsters popping out on the market is causing me pain.
Juicy Couture represents everything I abhor in fashion, and this fragrance is no exception. In fact, I did not even know this was Juicy Couture until I asked someone what she was wearing after months of encountering the same smell everywhere I went. I find it a very loud, somewhat soapy berry scent on a base of caramel, praline and patchouli. In my corner of the world (USA), it seems that this reached a peak in popularity about a year ago, and now it seems to be fading. Thankfully ...
this is quite a scent! to me it smells fruity more than anything. and the a lot of caramel. mouthwatering...
This smell is lovely! I though it would be a tad more sweeter as I lurrv gourmands, but it's sort of delicately sweetened so I'll give it credit. The bottle is fantastic, and I like how its composed, it's flowery, fresh and a lil warm, so all together it's refreshing. A great everyday scent for both warmer and colder weather!
i can DEFINITELY see how someone can smell the similarites to Hidden Fantasy by Britney Spears. They both have a citrusy sweetness to them that is very comforting. Yet Viva is a more
"open fruitiness" and more of an ambery sweet instead of a stright for creamsicle sweet like Hidden. I like both scents very much, but i appreciate Viva a lot more. It is more diverse and elegant. I love it! and it is addictive! I cant really explain it. I smells more fruits that anything. Yet its floral and sweet at the same time....so yummy!
Addictive, be careful. Truly addictive! So light and yummy at the same time. Fresh, fragrant, joyful blend that NOT smells cheap. Pleasure in a bottle. And what a bottle! Triumphantly kitsch, in a stylish and funny way.
I love this perfume and will love it forever, hat has become my almost everyday perfume since i got it. i do think its on the pricy side and i dont necessarily think it lasts long enough. i really like the scen though, and i think its worth the money. the closest dupe ive found is avril lavigns black star, wich i also own, but viva la juicy is a hint sweeter
I cannot understand for the life of me why this scent is so popular. It is utterly unremarkable, even unpleasant. It's a mishmash of sugary notes that do not blend-- rather, it's muddled. The original Juicy Couture, however, is composed beautifully, even if it is a little bit rococo in its aesthetic.
I bought the small, cheap rollerball of this scent on a whim after reading rave reviews (despite my better judgment). Now I'm stuck with it. Oh well, since it's so popular I'm sure I can pawn it off to someone!
I got this for my birthday, and the scent is irrestistible. I always get soo many complements when I wear this! I like to spray it in my long hair, and people always ask what smells so good, even boys! It smells very warm and enticing, but don't wear too much! The scent lasts pretty long, yet becomes subtle. I can picture it being worn at a nice dinner party or a date with candlelights casting a glow on your face... it's very sexy!
Absolutly gorgeous! The luscious mandarin notes are cleverly blended with floral and gourmand notes - with a little patience you'll detect an irresistable hazelnut praline and vanilla/caramel scent. It's almost like mandarins dipped in pralin chocolate scented with florals.
I honestly think testers are the better buy. I once worked at a pharmacy and found that the testers had more of a staying power.....Maybe thats how the lure us in2 buyin the scent. I love this scent. This might be my signature scent. Give this scent a week trail
I do really like this perfume, it's gorgeous and fresh. I wear it to work. It has zero staying power on me though... I have to re-apply in the day, might be just my bottle though the tester seemed to linger a lot longer. It does smell very citrusy on my skin though.. the mandarin note seems to stay with me for ten minutes and then disappears along with everything else :(
I like this better than the first Juicy scent. It's lighter and sweeter. It smells just like a Victoria's Secret fragrance I have though. Not very original. It doesn't last very long either. I keep a roller ball in my purse and I apply throughout the day.
I pulled this perfume out of the back after a long summers nap today. I still love it. Cannot say enough good about it. I don't know why but it just makes me happy to wear this perfume.
Love, love, love this perfume! I got a free sample of this scent with a perfume purchase, and ever since I used that sample I am obsessed! I needed to have it, and I was able to get it from Perfume.net at a great price. And, I used coupon code PVPNF, which gives you an extra 15% off your purchase.. happy shopping!
The fragrance is amazing! so yummy!! gourmand scent
This doesn't smell like Hidden Fantasy, IMO. This smells soooo much better!
The top notes smell like a creamy caramel candy with a kick and the drydown is a caramelish vanilla smell. This is amazing. One of my favorites
this scent really no chemistry with me.. the smells doesn't lasting on my skin.. just like as spray a water splash on me.. the smells just fade away after a few second..
but i do love the berries scent..
Viva la Juicy is not yet available here in the Philippines. I had a hard time searching for this perfume. At last! There's one supplier in ebay.ph! But she only got 1 piece of it. so I bought it immediately.
I was surprised to discover that its a light perfume. Its not in-your-face sweetness. But you can smell the delicious dry down of caramel and praline! ahhh... It smells good when sprayed in the afternoon. It fits well in our weather here. You smell the yummy notes without smelling like food. The flower accord lingers perfectly.
and the Good thing is, Viva makes me unique, because not too many people in our country owns viva, they dont even know viva exist :P
Right away I can most all the notes listed..berries, mandarin, honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine, amber, sandlewood and just a hint of praline. I don't really get much vanilla. Let me just say, Viva La Juicy isn't my favorite fragrance but my goodness it fetches the compliments! I was at a physician's office today for the first visit. I literally squirted myself once on each wrist & once on the neck. A gentleman in the waiting area told me I smelled nice. The receptionist complimented me! But, what I really fascinated me was when the Doctor came in & told me he couldn't wait to enter the room because the scent was wafting by the door. My initial thought was it's too strong! He then sat down & came toward me, asked me a health question then said, "I have to ask you what perfume you are wearing". It is intoxicating! I told him the name & he said that's a good name for it because it smells "Juicy"! I have NEVER been complimented on a fragrance by a physician & I always wear fragrance to the doctor's office. Everyone at work compliments me when I wear this. I'm thinking I need another bottle!!!
Got it today and I really like it. I'm going old school here, but does anyone remember those Avon Comfort Scents that came out about ten years ago? I think Viva la Juicy smells like the Stonewashed Blue one. I think there was like 4 of them. Sprayed it and it took me back to my early teens! Wow, reminds me of good times.
This perfume didn't win my vote. I guess I expected it to be a little sweeter because I'm really into sweet perfumes but it was sharp and that sweet at all. It reminded me alot of Victoria's secret Super monde which I already own. guess in all I like it it just wasn't anything differnt about it to me. I hate I spent so much money for a scent I already had in Super Model.
for some reason this scent reminds me of raisin cinnamon buns. sweet, warm, slightly tart.
I was surprised to find I really enjoy Juicy Couture’s VIVA LA JUICY. I don’t like the brand in general and I dislike their first fragrance, but I love the subtle sweetness of this.
VIVA LA JUICY lives up to its name by opening with sweet and juicy fruit notes. One me the top notes seem to mask the heart, so I can’t detect any floral notes at all. This doesn’t really upset me; I’m not a great lover of floral fragrances.
It’s the base that really makes me reach for VIVA LA JUICY. Yes, it’s sweet. But it prevented from becoming syrupy by the creaminess and being close to the skin.
Despite being close to the scent, the lasting power is still very good. The bottle is gaudy, but fun. The price is a bit steep, so this is a special treat.
This one doesn't scream OMG!! I HAVE PERFUME ON!! LOL! It is a very nice, sweet, mildly floral and light perfume. It's quite enjoyable. I don't really smell the citrus notes...? o.0 But I do smell the delicious caramel and praline. Even though it isn't a heavy scent it lasts and has good sillage. The bottle looks cute in the picture but in person it is rather tacky. Well, give it a try you may be pleasantly surprised. ;')
I was at Kohl's and saw this perfume while I was waiting in line. And it got me right away. It is a sweet smell but the undertones do bring it down where it's not so sweet it gives you a headache. I love it. And I am not a teenager, I am 32. My husband loves it too, he calls it "Viva la booty" LOL!!
its a light scent...nice for the summer even though its seems to have been developed for the younger generation its still somehow sophisticated...if you see what i mean..its not an uninteresting perfume. i still think its quite expensive...
the bottle looks tacky in a way but then you pick it and its so heavy and 'expensive'...the smell is commonish initially but then you wait a bit and it gets interesting...this is a very suprising perfume...
I have the original Juicy and smelt this in a magazine strip and had to have it. It starts of very girly-fruity-sweet (Top notes : Wild berries and juicy mandarin) and then the drydown is a little more sophisticated with Middle notes of Honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine. Im not normally a big fan of these flowers but in this mix they are nice. Base notes : Amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and praline - the base reminds me somewhat of the original, this would be suited to a younger fan I think due to the sweetness in it. I'm 27 and wonder if it's too young and girly for me, but then i say what the heck and wear it anyway. Its not really a delicate floral though, it has a robustness behing the sweetness which gives it a little kick of sophistication and saves it from being cloying and sickly. Not sure if I'd repurchase, but Im happy to have a bottle.
This fragrance is much nicer and more elegent than the original x
It smells nice. Thats it just nice. I can see why people are so fond of it but I would imagine that I would get bore of it if I had a bottle. It smells sweet and fruity definitely got the mandarin though I thought it was pineapple. Can wear everyday. I agree it smells like the one by Dolce but better. It is more complex where The One falls flat.
Im freakin obsessed with this one! Juicy Couture and Elizabeth Arden did a wonderful job w/ Viva La Juicy! Its 100x better then the original Juicy Couture! Its kinda funny that Elizabeth Arden makes both this and Britneys Hidden Fantasy because i find they smell so alike. I love them both but i think Hidden Fantasy is my fav or the 2. I love Hiddens bottle more and the price is so much less! Still, Vivas a wonderful scent. If your looking for a cheaper substitute for Viva do give Hidden Fantasy a try!
I like this perfume alot. It is not as sweet as it seems. At first it smells sort of fresh and minty on me. Then it turns more floral and the caramel-pralin notes appear. It's a very romantic scent prefect for a date. I would say that if you like Thierry Muglers Angel you will love this one aswell.
2 GuestHelpMe, you should get the Viva La Juicy. Juicy Couture isn't really all that sweet, IMHO. I don't get how people think it's sweet. It's more floral. Viva La Juicy is very sweet/Gourmandy. It kinda smells like a Caramel Pie or something. It's wayyy better than the original, IMO. It also feels like everyone on earth has the original.
I want to buy Viva La Juicy or Juicy Couture perfume but I can't find them where I live. So my friend suggested she send me either Viva La Juicy or Juicy Couture. But the problem is I don't know which one is better for me. I love gourmand fragrances, warm and almoust edible.. And I suppose Viva La Juicy is more me, but I'm not sure would I like it. I don't like too much floral notes, when floral are main notes you can smell, don't want to smell sharp like I'm wearing some "old lady" cologne xD. Can you help me (I like Vera Wang Princess if that's helpful) what would you suggest?
Viva La Juicy is definitely a foody fragrance. It is very pretty, and very sweet - a tad too sweet for my liking I think.
I like the idea of the praline & caramel, but these notes are what makes it too sweet.
I would like to smell this on someone else (if they do not spray too much) but I will stick to the original Juicy once my sample runs out.
Edit: June 2012: I have to say that I saw this at a great price & decided to buy a bottle. I will enjoy wearing this lightly! :)
It's all right- I love the notes on their own, but I haven't decided whether or not I actually like it. It's certainly not my thing- being too individualistic to own anything by Juicy, alas- but I do like it better than the first scent. Definitely gourmand, but I agree with a reviewer who said something about the white flowers giving them a headache!
I don't mind this fragrance and I can certainly understand its popularity. It is very girly, sweet and playful.
It is a little similar to Miss Dior Cherie I thought, yet there is a softer more powdery blend of vanilla, gardenia and jasmine. I can see why it is so commonly worn by young teen girls.
In the US I have heard that both this fragrance and the original Juicy Couture are best sellers, however in Australia it is not so popular which allows me to consider buying this seeming that not many people wear this fragrance.
The bottle is really cute, yet I'll be honest and say that I'd probably feel a little embarassed having it on my dresser because it looks a little childish.
I do like this fragrance a lot, but I doubt I'd ever purchase it because I feel that I have way too many sweet and gourmand scents in my collection. I'm aiming to buy more grown-up fragrances that I can love and wear for many years to come. I'm sorry, but I just don't see myself wearing Viva La Juicy when I'm 30 years old.
The lasting strength was great, I didn't have a problem with that at all. I thought the sillage was also quite good and more than often a few sprays was enough to last the entire day.
The same concept of a sweet ambery perfume done over and over. I prefer Fancy to this, because at least it is full on delicious vanilla with florals. This is basic and light, with zero lasting power. The price you pay is for the heavy bottle. Unfortunately it is not the roll on's fault that it doesn't last. It's the perfume itself. Juicy Couture is overrated. Both are linear perfumes with common notes. I like them for awhile and then realize it's not worth the money.
Jon, the tops are plastic. Hope that helps. IT doesn't feel like that CHEAP plastic, though. The silver thing around the bottom makes it heavy
Even though they classify this as floral fruity gourmand, once sprayed you can definitely smell the gourmand in it, but to me smells kind of androgynous; and once your skin and the perfume fuse you get a burst of slight florals and warm caramel, Wonderful
I thought it was going to smell a lot more floral-fruity than it did. The fruit & floral notes fade quickly and then it smells very warm, but still light. On me it smells like really buttery caramel.
ok, i purchased it yesterday and i am returning it!
i used the sample and it completely wore off wihin a few hours and this is not the type of bottle you wana carry around all day and keep re-spraying especially because of the price!
im VERY dissapointed that it didnt last because it could be a lovely perfume, the middle note of jasmine kills it unfortunately..to me the floral notes overpower the whole fragrance.
i love this smell, i got it a little while back and i wear it everyday.
its so warm and in that right sexy.
the amber, caramel and praline envelope you, the flowers keep it alive and the citrus makes it light enough to enjoy.
amazing perfume.
It smells really really good to me. I'm obsessed with it!
i only bought the roll-on and it doesnt seem to last as long. hopefully when i run out of the roll-on i can buy the full size and maybe it will last longer
I absolutely adore this fragrance! Im so obsessed. Is fascinating, light, sweet, with carmel notes! Very feminine. Much better than the first Juicy by faaaaaaar! Its my new Summer scent!!
This one really doesn't smell anything like the original Juicy. I love the fruity top notes, but they disappear quickly. The base notes are a warm inviting vanilla amber and caramel, which are very nice.
It's a very nice scent, but I'm disappointed how fast it disappears. After an hour, I can't even smell it when I put my wrist to my nose---which is too bad since this is pretty pricey!
This fragrance is oh-so-sweet & i want to eat my arm off whenever I spray it on! It's absolutely amazing & undescribable. It reminds me a little of Cacharel - Amor Amor. So sweet & prissy but something sexy about it too! I'm in love with this xxxxxxxxx :) oh & the bottle with the pink ribbon is adorable!
Smells like sweet tarts and soft florals at first. The dry down seems to get warmer and warmer the longer you wear it reminding me of a melting caramel.
I agree with everyone who said it was yummy, the scent is very much like an orange-cream, pina colada scent, however after about half an hour the white flowers are really potent and can give me a head ache. Over all I think it's a nice fragrance, I doubt anyone will be like "yuck!" but it's also a bit trendy. The Sean Jean fragrance for women, the gwen stefani lamb, and harajuku lovers G scent are all very similar in feeling and scent notes.
Wait a few seasons before buying this... that way you can be really sure if you like this fragrance for the long term.
I thought this fragrance was super delicious and feminine! I liked the caramel/vanilla notes mixed with the white florals (I love gardenia). The only reason I didn't buy this fragrance is because the lasting power is horrible.
Umm Yummy Yummy!! I got 2 bottles because I know its going to go pretty quick. I didnt like the other Juicy perfume at all but this one is so sweet and fruity with warm spicy notes. The honeysuckle is a nice addition and the caramel really stands out! I love it! Not sure if its just me but it seems to fade quick though :( I dont care because its lovely! People are always saying "You smell soo good!" when I wear it.
I was anticipating this fragrance and was so excited when i got my sample. unfortunately, on me the floral dominates all other notes in this perfume making it a heavy floral with no hint of the other beautiful notes. such a shame, i was really looking forward to smelling the blackcurrant, caramel and vanilla. this is probably one of those perfumes that smells so good on other people, but loses it complexity on my skin.
Viva la Juicy is a brand-new best-seller created under the trademark of Juicy Couture and licensed by Elizabeth Arden's cosmetics company. Those popular brands couldn't possibly afford to make a cheap boring perfume which would be soon discontinued. I'm just in love with this sophisticated and rich scent!!! Since the olfactive group is not listed here I would suggest it's Oriental Fruity. But the fragrance is not heavy at all, it's radiant, modern and long-lasting. The first notes I detect are fragrant honeysuckle and delicious caramel. To my mind Viva la Juicy shows some resemblance to Hypnose by Lancome and The One by Dolce&Gabbana but it still smells unique and wonderful. Five stars.
I tried this and i love the complex notes.
Well put together and easy to wear.
I am obsessed with this fragrance! It is exactly what I was looking for, it's very light.
I cannot get enough of it!
