My favourite from her is still Velvet Hour, however Vintage stands out in its own unique way. The scent itself is quite fresh and pleasant, with only a slight touch of floral notes.
I would have preferred the pink pepper note to be slightly more prominent in the opening, as it is a little too subtle in my opinion. The mandarin orange note is also quite subtle, so the freesia really comes forth.
The freesia note actually reminds me of a freesia scented soap that my Mother uses, so in a way, Vintage has a somewhat clean, 'straight out of the shower' quality.
The heart can only be described as pretty. The jasmine, heliotrope and almond blossom are mild and slightly powdery. Due to the sillage not being very strong, Vintage is quite intimate.
There's far too much musk in the drydown, which I found overshadowed the vanilla and tonka bean notes. It smelt like musty sheets that had been stored in a dark closet for too long. However on my friend, the drydown is surprisingly the best part, as it smells deliciously nutty and vanillary.
While Vintage has played it safe here with a very basic composition, I'll add that this fragrance is difficult to dislike. I actually didn't have a problem with the lasting strength, as I thought it lasted quite well on both myself and my friend.

The opening is light and airy: fresh flowers, pink pepper and something almost a little metallic behind it all; perhaps the freesia-citrus combination.
After it's settled for a while, it develops into a very pleasant and cosy scent: soft, warm and slightly sugary. And here's why I think it lives up to it's name: in many modern fragrances, the different components stand out a lot, sometimes almost fighting for attention. But in Vintage - as well as in many of the old classics - the different notes blend together nicely, none of them breaking off or taking over on its own.
The final drydown has a little sweetness, a lot of pepper, and that vague metallic scent - which makes me think this would also work on some men - is still hanging in there.
A subtle, likable scent; maybe nothing for a wild night out, but great for everyday wear. It seems to last a lot longer on me than on other people, but of you want the initial kick to last, reapply during the day.

To me it smells exactly how I want my perfume to smell. It is elegant and ladylike but in a very innocent and restrained way.
The vanilla makes it soft, cosy and warm, while light flowers and citrus add a fresh and lively touch.
To me it embodies a romantic kind of feminity without being too girly. The staying power is great (at least on my skin) and it fits either day and night.
Altough my taste normally is more "expensive" I just love it and it will accompany my winter.

Although the two scents are near identical, the drydown on Guerlain L'Instant Magic is different - more powdery, whilst Vintage retains the vanilla? scent - and I think this is what I like in the Kate Moss perfume.
I will definantly continue to wear the L'Instant Magic and hope that I can find the one....

About the bottle: it's colour is definetely better than a pink punch, and it's good to tkae it in hand. It's simple but nice on my shelf. Finally, the name Vintage is the real problem, you expect really something different from the juice you get.
However, I really do like this scent and wonder whether anybody can recommend a similar smelling perfume with longer staying power?

After breaking out of the predictable fruity/floral mix with her last scent Velvet Hour, she and Coty have done a U turn back to the Kate blueprint.
All I get is a mild mix of unidentifiable floral notes and nothing else. The staying power is non-existent. Within 20 minutes of application I couldn’t smell a thing.
The bottle is very pretty; it’s what made me notice VINTAGE in the store. The name doesn’t match the juice at all – I would have gone for lavender, rose and/or violet for a vintage type fragrance.
