The trend of sports fragrances of the Olympic Games year 2012 continues with Kenzo introducing a new edition of the famous perfume Kenzo Homme - Kenzo Homme Sport.
New Kenzo Homme Sport is a woody - spicy scent refreshed with citrusy flavors, ideal for athletes and those who enjoy sporting activities. The fragrance is created by perfumer Francois Demachy of the upper notes of grapefruit, mint and lemon, the core that includes geranium, ginger and various spices, and the woody base of cedar and vetiver.
The face of the campaign is French actor Nicolas Cazale. The fragrance is available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Spicy and dirty ginger with mint. Puarghh. Kenzo, you can do better.
3/10
Completely agree with the last review, opening notes are original and fresh but the drydown is way too spicy and heavy IMHO. I bought it very excited last summer but got bored very fast and don't use it anymore.
The opening notes are a mix of Armani Code Sport & Issey Sport... Limey, Minty, with a hint of ginger
After 30min, Kenzo Sport turns too gingery (mixed with mint).
30min later, the mint notes fade away, leaving only the ginger. I like ginger on Dior Sport (vintage and 2012) or Kenzo Tokyo, but Kenzo Sport has nothing but ginger and spices on the base.
Don't buy this judging the initial notes.
Terrible in my opinion. I have purchased hundreds of colognes, and this one is a doozy! Yuck! Can't even describe it, but smells like you took a bath in grapefruit juice...
Exactly like almost every single other sport frag. ever released. Smells identical to Guerlain Homme
I don't call it sport cause it doesn't evoke activity in me, rather I call it an absolute fresh cause makes me perfectly relaxed and loose, hanging in a gravity-less condition!
It opens so fresh minty spicy and dusty, tingling your nostrils! The rest is more on citric play like unripe mandarin orange odor when its peel is still green and inside yellow.
I'm really feeling this Kenzo Sport sample. The Japanese fragrances are unlike many of the mainstream stuff out here. This is a definite holiday buy for me.
I also think this is more like Kenzo Boisee than other Kenzo's I know, Kenzo pour Homme itself included. A light Kenzo Boisee with its mild vetiver tone plus a hint of citrus (the last main accord of the five listed above) among the top notes. My feeling with this Kenzo is that they aren't trying to create something really new, even as a sport scent, but just going with the wave of the majority. Some are better than others, but most of them still very average or unoriginal. Here they took Kenzo Boisee, recycled it to look like a sport scent, and voilà.
Been waiting to try this fragrance since it was first announced. Finally found it at a duty-free shop at JFK in New York last week. It's definitely Kenzo. I mean... it's almost like Kenzo Wood with the citrus turned way up. I like it... it just doesn't last very long.
First impression; this one reminds me of Givenchy Play Sport with citrusy sweet mint. It just lacks the floral accord that is in the Givenchy. Spices create something a bit vulgar and animalic like a body odor. It's not a good thing but luckily it is subtle (phew!).
So far, I find this edition of Kenzo to be pretty good. It's nicely woody, average staying power, but it's not as chilly and cool as other sport frags. It's not even spicy either. It's just somewhat mellow. I am not totally in love with it tho because Givenchy Play Sport is still on the top of my list for 2012 sporty fragrance.
Opens very nice. Grapefruit, lemon, mint. If I were the average person buying fragrances based on spraying a card or stick at the store, this would probably rate pretty high, as the first blast is nice. However... it quickly free falls into yet another typical, average sport fragrance.
Why, why, why? This is so damn boring, I'm at a loss for words. You could be wearing this, or a hundred other similar fragrances, and no one would know the difference. It's starting to drift toward a Bleu de Chanel feel now, courtesy of the ginger, citrus and vetiver. Touches of the lemon are lingering in the heart, making it seem as if someone added a dash of Edition Blanche to the Bleu - but unfortunately, it's all not as quality as either of those two fragrances.
An ok sport fragrance, sure - but what on earth is the need for an OK sport fragrance in this day and age?
This one has no DNA of the regular Kenzo Homme and smells more lika a sporty version of Kenzo Homme Boisee. It starts like a lighter variation of Armani Code Sport: minty notes on a gingery lemony foundation. But soon the scent becomes more herbal reminding a bit of Burberry The Beat and especially the dry down of Bleu de Chanel (not the fruity opening, but the earthy dry down of Bleu!).
The good point of the fragrance is the high quality of ingridients. The bad ones are average projection and worse longevity than Armani Code Sport, Dior Homme Sport and Bleu de Chanel have. Nevertheless it's a decent stuff in the range of sport fragrances.
Well, I went to visit the homepage of Kenzo, and I noticed that the perfume Kenzo Homme Fresh is no longer mentioned. So, I presume that the Kenzo Homme Fresh was discontinued and in Its place will be put the Kenzo Homme Sport. There is a logic in this supposition, because both fragrances are for the summer. Besides, we are living in the "Age of Sports". More sports will arise. I have nothing against sports fragrances, and I hope that the KHS will be a pleasant surprise. Peace and Light to All!!!
Thanks mannyb! Strange how people rush to judge. And besides what's wrong with sports.fragrances ? ? I love Dior homme sport and allure homme sport to name a couple.....
Yet another sport fragrance... still, ppl STOP rating it, it was just introduced and you don't know what it smells like. IMO this will be the LEADER of all the sport releases this year, F. Demachy hasn't disappointed me yet.
Wait and try...Demachy made amazing fragrances, and KHS can't be a bad scent
hmmmm wait and try.....
