Krigler ESTABLISHED COGNAC opens as a cognac facsimile--so much so that one initially wonders whether it might not be better just to dab a bit of cognac onto one's neck and wrists!
However, the perfume proceeds to develop into a floriental woody composition which is absolutely gorgeous! There is almost a tobacco vibe here, but apparently this is caused by the oak and the marigold (tagetes). The caramel really only comes through in the very opening, and I do not find it sweet at all after that.
I am very surprised that this perfume has not caught on more--or Krigler more generally--as this is a very appealing creation for men or women! Definitely worth trying by anyone who likes spirits-scented orientals. I would love to have a bottle of ESTABLISHED COGNAC--or to smell it on someone else!

Very true, that this fragrance is adored by women! I love it! :) Have you ever smelled "young", fresh cognac? The top notes are pure fresh cognac, a congnac mono scent, I would say. Cognac note is not hidden among other notes like in Frapin's 1270. With time cognac scent turns into a luxurious woody-cherry tobacco blend with a very little sweetness in it. To compare with 1270, Krigler's Established Cognac is less sweet, more masculine, but still great for men and women equally. The staying power on my skin is great!
