La Haie Fleurie is a classic perfume of timeless elegance; refined, rich and sophisticated. It represents an ode to jasmine and a vivid dream of a garden in full bloom. Notes: jasmine, orange blossom, narcissus, ylang-ylang, honeysuckle, vanilla and oakmoss.
It is available as 100 ml EDT. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Claude Ellena.
This EdT starts out smelling like a light, clean orange blossom, which is then joined by jasmine to produce a well-behaved, subtle white flower scent with just the slightest touch of vanilla. It stays that same way for a few hours until it disappears. This is a gentle, bland floral scent that is about as un-memorable as they come. It’s not bad, but it’s not so good that I would deliberately seek it out. Sillage is low to moderate and longevity is only a couple of hours without having to stick my nose right on my wrist to get the last remnants of jasmine.
In keeping with the extreme minimalism and linearity which I've come to associate with much of Jean-Claude Ellena's work, LA HAIE FLEURIE hits me as a straightforward jasmine soliflore. This one is right in the middle of the genre: not too dry and not too indolic. There may be loads of other notes in here, but honestly what I smell is jasmine--not honeysuckle, nor tuberose, nor x, y, or z...!
If I needed another jasmine soliflore, I'd definitely consider adding this creation to my collection, but I don't, so I won't, especially since this one has rather poor longevity for what it is... Usually jasmine soliflores last virtually forever on my skin (well, at least until my next bath), but not this one.
Smells lovely--while it lasts!
A very nice and simple jasmine with a soapy vanilla dry down. La Haie Fluerie is pretty and soft. It's nothing complex and it wears like a second skin. I hate labeling fragrances masculine or feminine but this obviously falls on the feminine side. I don't really care though because I love jasmine so much. Snatched a bottle for a great price and wear it to to bed quite often. It's sort of my little secret.
A marriage of honeysuckle, freesia and jasmine in a bright floral accord. Heady, intoxicating, a scant soapy, but lovely.
If you love the authentic scent of Jasmine, this perfume has it!
Yikes. So many white flowers, with just enough vanilla added to keep those flowers in line if they dare to deviate from their sweetness to head for greener pastures.
This may be my least favorite l'Artisan Parfumeur blend, in part because the blast of floral sweetness is not my cup of tea, but also because it does not offer anything special within its genre. There's certainly a less expensive version of this out there somewhere.
