The French house of L'Occitane presents two new collections in autumn 2011. Both are inspired by delicate flowers and sweet, juicy fruit. Names of the new collections are Delice des Fleurs and Delice des Fruits, and they consist of EDTs and accompanying perfumed body care products inspired by Provence and holidays.
Delice des Fruits holiday collection offers scents of citruses – lemon and Clementine, which are very accentuated in all products of the collection, which is sweetened with sugar. On top of 75 ml EDT, the collection offers home scents with diffuser, soaps, hand cream, solid perfume, scented candle, shower gel, body lotion and lip gloss that carry the wonderful scent of citruses and sugar. Both collections will be available before upcoming holidays.
Delice des Fruits is a delightful play between sugar and salt with delicate citrus notes enhancing the sweet vs salty playoff on my skin.
It starts with pure sugarcane juice straight from the stem. Images of vast fields of cane growing, the sugar refinery aroma on certain days. Happy memories. Honeyed lemons gently waft in and out. The opening is simply lovely.
Soon a saltwater breeze erodes the sweetness creating an underpinning bitter marmalade sensation. We passed Sugartown miles back on our journey to the beach. That is what this transition feels like.
There are distinct geographical associations with this smell, sentimental landscapes unique to an adjoining northern region.
For this reason I feel a certain fondness for Delice des Fruits. There are many memories wrapped up inside this unassuming L'Occitane offering.
One of my all-time favorite fragrances! A clean, bright, fresh, "hint of sweet" citrus. L'Occitane, bring this out annually in a full range of body products/EDP/EDT so I can stock up each year! Did this ever come out in an EDT? I never could find it.
Wonderful scent, it´s a pitty we don´t have body lotion here in Argentina
This fragrance is absolutely fabulous! A mild lemon-orange flavor that appears in all the Delices de Fruits products. Extremely pleasant.
A one dimensional sweet orangey scent. It is bright and uplifting, shimmering like a sunshine, but its also less interesting comparing to Delice des Fleurs. I don't think there is a lot of orangey fragrances for woman available lately, so maybe this will be okay.
