The French house of L'Occitane has presented its brand new collection of eau de cologne - EAUX DE PROVENCE at the Perfume Expo in Dusseldorf. The collection encompasses three fragrances: Eau Ravissante, Eau Universelle and Eau Captivante. The fragrances are ideal for the warmer season; they are refreshing, luminous, optimistic and available in two versions of flacons.

Eau Ravissante is a floral-musky fragrance for women. Its composition includes notes of gentle floral petals, citruses zest, rose flowers, warm amber and sensual musk. The fragrance is available as 50 and 300ml cologne fraiche, and its fluid is colored in pale pink. Eau Ravissante was launched in 2012.

Tried this at the store. I can detect floral, rosy notes and a hint of musk. Very subtle scent. I would not purchase it because it is just too pricey here. No gigantic bottle for sale and it costs S$58 for 100ml (3.4fl oz).

I get a clean floral with faint sweet warm base and orange juice tang. A very pleasant sheer, hot weather scent, but almost invisible sheer. It didn't have a lot of sillage on me, though sometimes that's a very good thing. Pretty

Effervescency in a bottle..

After a soggy British summer I visited swelteringly hot and delightful Palma Mallorca with the boyf. The (brilliant) boyf willingly endured my fragrance hunting having offered to get me something to wear on hols (and so remember it at future times). So this was the one.
Perfect for the hot city break, this cologne mixes sparkly bergamot with green rose. It's a little like the sensation of champagne in that it's almost bubbly and quite 'dry'. Perfect for fizzy wake up. There is nothing sweet or warm here, it's a definite summer fragrance and suits heat. I'm dying to try it in a thunderstorm. I think the bergamot leads more strongly than the rose although there is more of a rose whiff in the dry down. I don't get any amber here but there is a teeny bit of musk detectible. It would work equally well on a male wearer.

Perhaps the greatest thing about the fragrance (apart from my smug lovely memories!) is the bottle. It's stunning bottle echoes 1930s art deco/modernist motifs in decorative raised diagonal glass stripes. Interestingly, very similar to much of Palma's architecture. The box is a delight too with again a feel of the 30s in the graphics. It will be a keeper in my bottles collection.

Clean, fresh, "lady-like" -- these are my initial impressions, and all are positive.
A lovely fragrance for work, as it is unobtrusive (read: next to no sillage), but a nice, little surprise for those few whom you let get close.
It is light to point of being almost an all-over body spray.
I am enjoying it - but I shan't repurchse it. I am using too much, too fast for it to be a decent value. When gone, and I want these same qualities, I'll wear L'Occitane's Fleur Cherie, or YSL's Parisienne or Rance's Eau de Bois des Rose

A vague floral cologne, with no lasting power, and no discernable clear notes; seemed simply like a vague, light floral, with no lasting power.

I tried a spray of this yesterday in the store - really pretty & feminine, reminded me a little of YSL Paris (which I loved once & wore for my wedding day) but fresher, more sheer. I also tried on the other wrist either Eau Universelle or Eau Captivante but I`m not sure which! I just sprayed & went! Anyhow - whichever one it was, it was also very good - I actually think I preferred it to Ravissante. Seems like I`ll have to go back to the store for another test. Either way - I would be very happy to receive any of these scents as a gift (hint hint), love the summery, french feel of these & well priced too if you get the travel size. Ooh la la!

I now am the proud owner of this! After further trials I decided to get Ravissante - it has a sharp tea/rose opening which is similar to Tommy Girl & the drydown is so pretty, rosey, a little bit soapy with enough amber & musk to make it interesting, lovely indeed...

Very fresh, has a floral note, I think this is freesia, takes about an hour on my skin. Feminine, light as a breeze ... nothing special, but still very pleasant.
Yes, definitely freesia, just read sweetnspicey's review :)

I know this is supposed to be floral, but all I am getting is lemon, lots and lots of lemon. I prefer Eau Universelle.

The moment I put this on, I was transported to the South of France. I had vivid memories of the summer I spent in Nice. Somehow it smelled just like the Cote d'Azure. It captures the fragrance of summer flowers baking under the bright Riviera sun. When I read the advertisement for this splash, and it said this fragrance will "transfer you to Sunny Orchards in the South of France," I was astounded because it was so true! I love the freesia, rose, and amber--the perfect summer floral.
