Notre Flore Iris by L`Occitane en Provence is a Floral Green fragrance for women. Notre Flore Iris was launched in 2007. The fragrance features iris, papyrus, tonka bean, pink pepper, violet, galbanum and bergamot.
This Iris is true, but has a cloying sweetness added rather than an earthy emphasis, which I prefer. It is quite expensive and there are better Iris scents out there now that Iris tincture is cheap, actually I even prefer Crabtree & Evelyns which is £13.00 online compared with £53.00 for this. Nice, but not quite nice enough.
Not a complex scent. Linear. Predictable. But pleasant. I see as a floral wood, not as a floral green. Floral sober: no romantic or dreamer. Sexy but discrete. A beautiful iris representative. I Confess.. I fell in love for your simplicity.
"Simple things are the most extraordinary." Paulo Coelho
Something women can wear only for women, men doesn't tolerate this one for sure. Too heavy floral item and as expected, iris overdose in the start up.
From a logical distance (!) it's cool and good but close to skin it's too heavy and resinous. Personally, if I wear this one I get headache just in ten minutes. If someone wants to hear my confess, needs to spray it on my in a hot day, I'll confess who filthy sins I did!!!
longevity 10/10
sillage 6/10
scent 2/10
All the notes inside Notre Fleur Iris are true and loyal to the very flower.
Elegant, soft and powdery. Beautiful!
I have no idea what papyrus is supposed to smell like. Tonka is what rounds out this Iris giving me a feeling of edible sweetness. I see that others are finding this to be dark and vegetal, I do not find it to be so, but I think that depends on how you feel about Iris itself.
This isn't available currently through the L'Occitane store in the US, but I was able to get it from an Amazon seller.
ETA 12/2011 - looks like this has been reincarnated as just plain "Iris" on the L'Occitane USA website. Same notes but with the addition of pink pepper.
I had it and I finish the bottle. It is nice, but I now I think it is way too strong...
"Passionata20" had the same impression that I, for me, this perfume smells like Bvlagari "au blanc".
Good!
It is on sale at the moment in our local L´occitane shop so i thought i would try it since it is very inexpensive at the moment. When i tried it i liked it, it was so neutral, i even thought it might be one of the Bulgari´s tea scents (something in common with "Au the blanc", but then it turned to very disturbing bitter fragrance and was very onesided for the rest time. It can be easily worn my men also, since it is not sweet but quite bitter i would say.
Lasting power about 4-5 hours on my skin
Not my fragrance at all sadly.

aww I was hoping for a powdery, cool iris (having winter on my mind). But Notre Flore Iris is warmer than I imagined. It is also very musky, not exactly powdery and unfortunately, not nearly as unique or complex as L'occitanes Labdanum and Neroli (from the same line). Nevertheless it is an inoffensive, safe, pretty musky floral. Kinda pricey for what it is.
This is a creamy iris, pretty and light, rather romantic. I really like the papyrus in this, keeps it from smelling too flowery.
This come off as a lavender field after the rain, then dries up to a vetiver on my skin. Also violets alway smell like the real iris on my skin, it's odd skin chemistry as the real iris smell like nothing on me. So I wear this and a buy the actual iris flower to spruce up my house:)
My first encounter with the wonderful world of perfumes was with my dear mother's Rive Gauche. I was so young and I remember myself thinking how wonderful she smelled when she was dressed up. So since then, I was looking forward to grow up and wear it. However, now I am in my mid twenties and I just cannot bring myself to wear Rive Gauche but I have found the reason of my attraction for Rive Gauche. I think it was because I ADORE Iris notes in perfumes.
So it wasn't a surprise to fall in love with this beautiful, purple bottle and the mysterious elixir in it. I have tried all the "Notre.." series of L'occitane without knowing their names and ingredients and I fell in love with this one.
Notre Flore Iris is a distinct and creamy iris scent. It is not cheerfully, playfully "girly" smell so not everyone would be attracted to it. People tend to love overly sweet and fruity fragrances these days. This is a different type: It is quite mysterious, not heavy but a little dark, respectful and very feminine. This is neither an old school "mature" scent nor a daily "teenager" scent.
ps: I think of the character that Eva Green played in the movie "Cracks" when I smell this..
I wanted to love this perfume , given all the notes. It lacked that beauty it promised in its notes. The violet was evident as for all the other notes, they compleatly vanished. It may of been my body chemistry. Dissapointed as I was sure I would love this perfume. Ah well you can't please everyone.
Sevgiler...
fiyat aralığını ve nerde sipariş edebileceğimizi öğrenebilirmym ??
did anyone else noticed lavender note or it's just my nose?
i love lavender theredore, i liked it a lot. i need to smell it again before i rush into buying since the price is not reasonable.
I usually like Iris scents but this one was not for me. To me it almost had a rootsy, woodsy smell and very much powdery. It reminded me of digging up roots in garden. Sorry, I just couldn't like this one!
Lifelike, powdery iris smell, very intense, maybe even a bit too much.
Not very lasting (compared to Notre Flore Neroli), the smell is powdery and dry. I liked it very much.
at first sight I love the bottle and the color.then I had a chance to test then I order it from E bay.
this blue glass Start very fresh of green but not sour.then it develop into warm Iris touch of sensual and mystical.it make me feel nostalgia this scent stay with you all day long.
I love Notre Flore collections. Iris is fresh, deep and romantic scent. Easily be unisex. Romantic but not too feminine.
started out very nice and fresh, but in minutes turned into too earthy and almost rotten smell
