Notre Flore Neroli by L`Occitane en Provence is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. Notre Flore Neroli was launched in 2007. The fragrance features litchi, orange blossom, sandalwood, plum, benzoin and neroli.
This fragrance is so warm! It comes with a bit of fruitness and a hint of flowers. Next, my skin make flowers go away and blend the fruity smell with benzoin and sandalwood. This arrangement composes a syrup-like smell: with a woody touch, juicy, somewhat fruity and sweet.
The sweetness is not cloying: is cozy, evoking a fireplace in a comfortable living room at the winter.
Not fresh, I need to agree.
The projection on my skin is really powerful.
very nice, exotic and satisfying, but, as with this whole range, not long lasting enough for the dosh they are asking for it..
After years of struggling to make sense of this utterly unique creation I have finally arrived at destination appreciation.
Notre Flore Neroli was never a favourite, in fact I remember contemplating giving this difficult to get to know concoction away at one point.
I am glad I persevered and patiently waited for my body chemistry to define this beautiful perfume: thick bitter orange resin drizzled over sun baked parched wood decorated with unsweetened plum and an ever so subtle fizzy lychee.
Throw in an ocean breeze and 34 degree heat and Notre Flore Neroli is a mind journey to the Mediterranean not to be missed.
I admire and respect this perfume. Finally.
This is a scent I will buy soon or later even if I'll have to use in small amounts and far from my bf!
It's absolutely delightful if you like deep intense floral with an Eastern vibe.
It's a little bit pungent upon initial spray then it goes smoother and rounder on my skin, but never fades away! It has monster sillage and lasting power!
It really reminds me of Eastern (imagined) garden from 1001 nights!
It's a very happy scent but not casual or sporty at all! It is very feminine with some elegance and it smells a little bit like my fave Organza.
I agree it also reminds of SL Fleurs d'Oranger, but thanks god it's not that strong and perfume-y!
I use to spray a tiny dose from L'Occitane counter and when I go around there is always someone who comment on how good I smell and want to know the name, mainly women in shops!
I really like the beautiful Notre Flore Jasmin, and I once thought this would smell a little bit similar to that one (because the bottle is the same design), but i turned out wrong. this is a totally unique fragrance and every time i smell it, I'm always reminded of the island of Bali (Indonesia). I've been to Bali 7 times so far (yes, it's such a beautiful place) and I know what actually makes me feel that way. To me, this perfume has a quite dominant incense (or incense-like) scent, which is a scent you can smell every morning in Bali. So to me this is also as beautiful as the Jasmin one, but i find this to be a unique, sexy, and seductive fragrance
Please, please, please, please, PLEASE bring back the original formulation L'occitane! The original of this scent was unique, sexy and almost had a vulgarity to it that made you feel sensual in the best way possible. This, while a lovely scent, is a pale glimmer of what was once a truly beautiful fragrance. I am hording what little I have left of the original formulation and sadly, I have very little left. I wish that L'occitane had the courage to stick with the more unique formulation they had originally crafted, than switching the formula to something that would be more marketable to the masses.
One of my faves. It's so smokey and sweet. It reminds me of Dior Addict so much but in a more wearable version. It's sexy and it's bold. Don't overapply this one because it's really heavy and thick. It's amazing for wintertime and men love this stuff. The drydown is great too. Very longlasting and great projection.
A spicy bitter-orange scent with lots of depth. Remarkably similar to Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique in my opinion, and the longevity is at least as good. Very nice.
It's completely out of l'Occitane's style but not bad.
The company mastered natural perfumery and I passed good vacations with its perfumes. This one, unlike others which are strongly natural, appears in a linear and ordinary way that makes it proper for everyday use in mild weather. Going through some ordinary perfumes, this one is something any taste accept. Something commonplace and extremely familiar. So, maybe many ladies reject it. By the way I couldn't find any neroli of citric blossom in it. It's an absolute floral perfume and not so oriental, can be modern and western.
Starting out with fruity smells, it presents so cute and charming but waxy dry down disturbs everything.
longevity 8/10
sillage 10/10
scent 5/10
I do get the reference to JPG Classique, but only as far as that plummy, subtle lipstick note at the beginning--bold, yet without Classique's sass.
Amazing tenacity with a rich smoothness without being too syrupy. The lychee in this is ripe, rosey and dark, not fresh and light like I was expecting, yet still beautiful and rather ample.
As Notre Flore Neroli transforms it catches a little air and starts to radiate with orange nuanced florals with rich, sweet, soft wood.
Very good sillage and longevity. A voluptuous fragrance indeed.
This fragrance is fantastic! I get a lot of compliments wearing it. It smells absolutely delicious on my skin and i enjoy a good quality of this perfume. Great job!
This Neroli reminds me so much of JP Gaultier Classique, only darker and without the rose. I don't know what Loccitane's older neroli fragrance smelled like, so I cannot compare the two. What I know is that this scent although it doesn't exactly feel like "me" (maybe that has something to do with my best friend wearing JPGC) it is absolutely stunning. A bold femme fatale in a bottle, that is maybe a bit too bold for me, but worthy of my admiration. This fragrance is rich, potent and spicy with a distinct bitter-sweet neroli note and resinous drydown. Think autumn, gold, earth, ripe plums and sweet spices.
The liquid itself is much darker in the bottle than represented on this page and looks more appealing that way. :)
I made a mistake by applying this fragrance far too heavily as I made my way past the L'Occitane counter on my way to a date after a long day at University.
Despite the fact that I was shrouded in this fragrance everywhere I went, it was a pleasant scent, a somewhat sexy and confident fragrance.
I'd describe the notes as being like syrupy orange juice with thick, heady vanilla and spicy resins. It's an exotic scent, like what I'd imagine Italy and a majority of Europe to smell like, as odd as that sounds.
Notre Flore Neroli is definitely a Winter scent, I can't imagine it being worn in any other season. Because this fragrance isn't on the quieter side of things like most of L'Occitane's fragrances are, I can see why people might be deterred by it. I'm not a huge fan of L'Occitane, however the Notre Flore range has really impressed me.
Rich leathery neroli with slightly vanillic notes, powdery, almost milky. Very nice.
Elegant, oriental oil, bitter, sweet, not for very young people. Kind of sensual.
It's a strong scent, truly oriental. Beautiful. Takes me far away, to an exotic paradise.
This one is intriguing, but I can't remember if LÓccitane marketed this before in another package similar to dead Eau de Reines in EdP version (to die for) and Eau de 7 Fleurs.
I don't know what's going on at LÓccitane... They change almost all perfumes formulas, but why? Amber and Vanilla were better before for sure.
This new Neroli is also very nice anyway.
It looks thick in the glass orange bottle and beware this is strong! Apply with sense.
The first spray is like a bomb thrown on your head and nose with a messy pungent sharp edge. You need to wait and let it settle on your skin.
Then you experience a total floral experience where flowers are not used in a common modern Westner way but probably more as a traditional grand floral of good memory from South France to Middle East. This is the scent of intriguing sensual flowers, very daring, not demure, sensual but not foody sweet like so many "sensual" modern fragrances.
Very long lasting.
One of the best smells out there, it has something nostalgic and familiar. Brings me flashes of a long gone childhood or early adolescence, like an echo from another era. As it dries down though, it reminds me strongly of another perfume, Villoresi's Alamut, which has a strong soap accord, but still a nice scent. Neroli - L' Occitane makes you feel like a young girl ready for a night out with her female friends. A warm scent, reminds me of summer nights, i don't know why, like the warm skin after a long day under the sun, near the see. Hollidays, night aromatised by the blooming trees, no problems, just having fun and hoping for the best. What a trip a perfume gets you in!!?? 17.59
I love it. It actually reminds me more and more of my favorite perfume that has been discontinued "Escada Collection 2001" - it is the right balance of woodsy sensuality that makes me want to indulge in it completely.
Interesting.
In the beginning it smells like Dior Addict to me: sweet vanilla and all the stuff it has.
After a few minutes is settles down and
the "dry sun-baked woody" smell appears. Yes, Cinsot!
A beautiful scent.
Absolutely repulsive. One of the worst I've tried !! Hey,IF you want to smell like an old man ,REALLY OLD,then this is for you. Just stinks.
Sorry, but this is not a feminine smell.I tend to adore orientals, but this ....EEEEW,l'occitane needs to try again and quickly discard this MESS.
From now on,I will simply steer clear of all L'Occitane .As far as I'm concerned the've ruined their good rep on this one.
I have a bit of a love hate feeling when it comes to this fragrance, as it's really lovely but a little too potent for my liking - very rich. I would definitely recommend it for colder weather and night time use.
My boyfriend said it smelled morbid. I agree. And I love neroli!
I agree to Veronique. 1001 nights. Highly seductive.
i bought this in a hurry while visiting the states last summer as i was leaving the next day but wanted to stock up on some luxuries i couldn't afford at home in europe. i had tested this a number of times at the store in my home town and fell in love with it, but it was pricey.
i was so disappointed after i bought this and realised it was not the same at all. i think i must have been testing the older Neroli version, and this one is not the same at all. it has an initial pang that mysteriously seems to gather in the back of my throat, as though its planning to give me gas. its a very strange sensation and unfortunately makes this pretty unwearable for me.
unfortunately they only sell this in enormous 75ml size, so i have a lot left. occasionally i'll spritz some around the bedroom as i find the burp inducing pang settles after a few minutes. on my skin it says for hours though.
the colour of the liquid is quite suspect too - if you're irish you'll understand when i say red lemonade.
It is not anything like the old neroli. There is nothing unque about this perfume. I wrote to the head office in Ireland to complain. I hope I get a reply from France at some stage.
I bought mine yesterday, with Notre Flore Myrte.
Visually, the liquid is orange dark (not light, as the photo shows - it´s more like the color shown ant the bottom of the bottle). The smell is intense, woody floral. Three hours after I sprayed it, the smell gets more woody, somehow sweet.
The lasting is very good: after four hours its still very strong.
Got a sample of this when I visited the L'Occitane store yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. This is a far cry from the usual herbal/citrus/flowers fragrances that L'Occitane creates for women.
The little sample blotter I received did not smell very good. It was a bit sharp, actually, but when I rubbed it on my skin for the true test, a beautiful, sweet cream and orange flower scent emerged. Not an orange fruit or orange candy scent, but the true bitter orange blossom scent, topped with a bit of vanilla cream. The fragrance has good longevity, as others have noted. I've had mixed results with other L'Occitane scents, but this scent lasted for hours. This would be an excellent choice for winter and holiday parties. Very pretty!
I tried it few weeks ago, and I have to agree with PR. Good for colder weather, hold well also on the skin. But still heavy and sweet.
Not my personal favourite from L'occitane. It is quite pronounced fragrance, sweet and on the heavier side, if you're looking for freshess should look somewhere else, I guess. It is for wearing in colder weather and holds well,at least on the paper
