This is a luxurious and sensual Italian perfume with floral and fruity notes. The top notes are pineapple, peach, plum and spicy accords of coriander. Rose, tuberose, ylang-ylang and heliotrope are in the heart. The base is warm, woody and spicy - it includes cedar, sandalwood, benzoin and cinnamon. The perfume was created by Daniela Roche-Andrier in 1995.
This was my signature scent for years until it was discontinued. Very feminine. Made me feel very confident.
Delicious although now discontinued & HTF fragrance from 'La Perla', intensely white floral (rose, jasmine & tuberose) with a hesperidic (lemon) opening drying down to facets of subtle orris root, creamy osmanthus & ripe tropical fruits, pineapple, passionfruit & plum come to mind. These lush elements are bolstered by soft woods of cedar, santal & oakmoss accompanied by sweet powdery vanilla, cinnamon and dry vetyver. It is a shame this has been discontinued, reminds me ever so slightly of Guy Laroche's 'Fidji', a bright sunny floral with that ever so slight tropical touch, essence of fruit salad in a bottle. Absolutely gorgeous and sadly becoming quite rare to find now....
A classic Italian beauty from the house of 'La Perla' !
Es un perfume delicioso. Una fragancia intensa y femenina. No es para todos los días. Es para momentos especiales.
The fragrance written review has got hardly anything in common with pictured notes below the main photo.
Well, what can I say. A naughty little gremlin must have been messing with Editors' desks :-)
Io is certainly unusual fragrance as what I detect are fruity citrus-bitter notes in top (very refreshing), the heart feels creamy floral and the base is a sophisticated woody-spicy one. (Really woody!!!)
I get hardly any vanilla throughout.
Io has certainly rocked my heart, it is such a lovely juice, sparkling at the top and 'maturing' as it dries down.
It has great silage and lasting power - the reasons La Perla should get them more on the market!
Io is hard to find nowadays, such a shame that the only thing La Perla is bothered about is to promote their very first fragrance with only a handful of others.
Io, along with Eclix, deserve much more attention.
Both are top quality with outstanding longetivity.
Mmmm this smells so good..i ordered me a mini bottle and I have no regrets! it is a beautiful, warm floral to me.
A strong mix of so many notes, almost untidy but not bad. It depends on your chemistry. On me wasn't that great, but on my best friend smelled heavenly like a beautiful mix of flowers, especially osmanthus, with only a faint edge of fruit and a creamy woody drydown, only slightly vanillic. It's sensual, a little misterious, strong but elegant.
It was her signature fragrance and now that we live far from each other I smell this scent to recall her and the time we spent together having fun when we were students (I wore Amarige then)
