Nilang blossomed nicely some years ago. The hint of a river, the memory of a flower… The mystery remains intact. Nilang takes the imagination along with it, transports you to delicately perfumed banks and rediscovers itself in a new flacon, a classical embodiment in the family of Lalique perfumes.
From the lotus to Nilang, the original creation of Gérard Anthony is revealed. He dreamed of this fragrance and composed this Aqua-Oriental into which the Orient plunges. A signed perfume, an unforgettable fragrance comes from a new, floating, aquatic world.
The top note is an imaginary hint of the lotus flower with fresh and lightly edible notes of peach, mandarin and melon, watery fruits.
Luminous, the heart note honours the splendour of the flowers: freesia, water jasmine, clove flower brought out with a fruity touch of wild blueberries.
Sensual, the dry down note brings together amber, vanilla, praline, sandalwood, patchouli and musk.
Between these two different universes, an addictive fragrance is created by a subtle game of opposition.
The composition of Extrait de Parfum differs from the EDP, it has additional notes of tuberose, rose and sandalwood. Nilang 2011 was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Christiane Ploc.

there is in common but the new one is very flat not complex and rich as the original which have best longlasting as well
- nothing special....very dissapointed
cloying melon and peach which turns my stomach, too girly..
it is the same smell exactly of the perfume i put its picture above citruss jasmine and same long lasting or say sour jasmine
oriental,so Arabic, but no caracter at all
the first I can to smell the melon, but very light, not as Issey Miyake, more later is as Angel but soooo light.I don´t know the old Nilang, but this not for me :-(
This has a very classic fruity floral smell: sweet and girly. Fruits are more prominent than flowers. Reminds me of Miss Dior Cherie
Such a disappontment. It smells like so many other, watery/fruity fragrances; which I feel are composed not to be unique and outstanding in their beauty, but to be just - well selled.
Next, please!
I never smelled the original Nilang, but the new version is rather close to Thierry Mugler Angel. Nilang smells like a less gourmand and sugary version of Angel with even more agressive patchouli aura. It starts off very patchouli-sh, then becomes creamier and smoothier, like a watered down Thierry Mugler's creation.
