Lancome Tresor, created in 1990, is a remarkable and unique fragrance that has been admired and praised all over the world for 20 years. The sophisticated and elegant composition by Sophia Grojsman accentuates the Otto rose note blended with powdery iris, heliotrope, fruity aromas of pineapple, apricot and peach, amber, musk, sandalwood and vanilla, making it a classic amongst classics.

To mark the 20th birthday of this treasured perfume, Lancome is launching a very limited edition named Lancome Tresor Diamant Noir. Maintaining the tradition of luxury and sophistication of the house, the most precious stone of them all, the black diamond, served as an inspiration for this birthday bottle. Polished and carefully faceted, this gem shines like a transparent glass with amber colored liquid. The bottle neck is decorated with a ring of glistening crystal and ebony black hematite. Crystal diamond shaped bottle is wrapped in a completely black engraved box.

Lancome Tresor Diamant Noir is available from October 2010 in only 20 bottles, exclusively at Lancome Institute . The price per bottle is 2000 euros.

I've never understood these "extremely" limited editions. Why even toil over the perfume and that gorgeous bottle if the only people who get to use it are a few of the perfumer's rich friends?! Perfumers should always remember who they truly owe their success to!!!
