Eau Gourmande Creme de Pistacho is a luscious and delicious fragrance that captures the essence of pistachio nut, almond, praline, hazelnut and whipped cream, combined to create an inviting, seductive and contemporary fragrance. This unique composition is infused with bergamot and fruity nectars, blended with creamy pistachio, white orchid, honey and melted caramel. Tenderness and sensuality are caused by soft woody aromas, smooth, silken vanilla and bitter - sweet chocolate.
It is available as 50 ml EDT with bath & body collection.
I was pushed to try this after being in Nordies. This customer actually had me try it. She was super excited over certain fragrances. She did not even work there but was selling these scents to me like she did. Well she was great and she should work in that industry, because all the ones she suggested were great, including this one.
Yes, it smells like Angel but a much more tolerable version. The customer told me that this would make me smell like cookies, she's right. I'm a gourmand lover so this works for me. Did I mention Pistachio almond is my fav ice cream flavor? lol
I finally got the opportunity to try this one and I couldn’t wait to sniff! Mmn Creaminess? NO!
Mmn Pistachio? Not a lot, just caught it quickly in the opening then gone!
Mmn Sweetness? Not really!
Certainly will not be lusting after this, some have said the body lotion is great so if you want my advice and don't want to waste your money stick to the body lotion, this is awful!
Definitely sniff this before you buy. I'd rate this perfume 2/10 and I love LM perfumes but for me this is a big letdown.
This was so disturbing. I loved the body lotion in the Pistache scent which was creamy nutty and like floating on a cloud of Pistachio nougat...and so I wanted more of it. But this is not even loosely related to the body lotion, rather a whole different animal. A stinky little civet type of animal that eats nothing but patchouli and digs out of trash bins in a dark alley. Right back in the box and back to the shop it went!
For the first hour it was really nice, I could definitely smell the all the nuts (especially the pistachios) and honey. It smelt very creamy though and smooth but not overly sweet like most gourmand fragrances. Afterwards, it really was like a dried down TM Angel, which isn't bad because I do like Angel it's just that I already have it! It did last for about 5-6 hours though which was nice so I think I'll get a bottle anyways since I do like how it is more like the dry down of Angel so it's not as "In your face" as Angel can be.
Had a strange time warp experience with this one when I tested it today. After about half an hour, I couldn't work out where that smell of Angel was coming from, and from a bottle of Angel that had gone off, too. Then I realised it was the Creme de Pistache. I'm a pretty hardened fragrance user, Tom Ford and Serge Lutens don't bother me any more than a nicely fragranced washing up liquid, but I had to wash this LM one off as soon as I was able - I found it persistently, chokingly irritating. And I was so looking forward to it, according to the description.
I want to try this badly ! The notes are up-my-alley. Plus, when I've tried Laura Mercier body lotions, the scent is what gets me everytime.
I want a perfume that has the smell of a pistachio dessert....Salty and sweet, the notes remind me of what noa by cacharel smells like. I really hope it doesn't smell like Angel by TM. Played out scent
I'm having a love/hate relationship with this one. One minute it smells lovely, almost edible, deep and rich. At this stage it's comforting and relaxing.
The next minute it does smell like patchouli like cmmarti3 mentioned. And not just any patchouli, kind of like a dirty, grungy patchouli-along with the sweet and nutty pistachio. Strange, but interesting.
Creme de Pistache is a very different scent, not sure if it's my thing or not.
Can this be love? Or just an infatuation?
Eau Gourmande Creme de Pistacho is in a way quite similar to TM Womanity. It has both the sweetness ans the saltiness of Womanity, but it is also deliciously nutty in the best way it can.
Because of the saltiness, it is quite a strange scent... You can smell all the sweetness there is, chocolate and vanilla, and lots of hazeltnut, and honey, and then there is this salty air feeling to the whole, and a touch of woodyness.
I am not sure how to classify this one. Fantastically bizarre and captivating. Creamy, powdery, strange. And I definitely want to test more to make up my mind about it.
EDIT: Not a love, not even an infatuation Im afraid. The more I have it on me, the less I like. It lacks a bit of freshness, and after a few hours becomes stuffy, sweet-salty scent that has a power to suffocate. Maybe more citrus or something juicy would bring this alive?
I don't see it listed in the notes, but this fragrance is absolutely loaded with patchouli. I had to have it when it first came out because I love gourmands and love Laura Mercier but this totally falls short. Think Thierry Mugler Angel here. If that's your thing, you might like this. But for me, TM Angel is like death (by patchouli) in a bottle. And sadly so is this. There is little resemblance in my opinion to the Pistache body collection which is lovely, nutty and patchouli free. Don't say I didn't warn you. You'll love it or hate it; I don't see much in between here. Too bad for me it was the latter! :(
I see some similarities in the notes with XS Extreme girl! If it is that good too...that would be great!
WOW! Gosh! A new release to the amazing Eau Gourmande-series. What great news! I'm crazy about nutty perfumes & honey, really nuts about them ;) ! I own Tarte au Citron & Marrons Glaces, which are my 2 faves from the Gourmand collection by Laura Mercier. So this new nutty release was added to my "want-list" in a heartbeat! WOW!
Ps: If anyone has a bottle/decant or such, mail me :))))
