I hate to say it but the scent smells better from the bottle than on my skin. It is a warm but quite plain scent, either way. I know those that love it will hate me for saying this but when I first sprayed it on, on my skin at least, it honestly smelt like tobacco/ sth moldy woody-ish, pee, and baby powder. Don't ask me how, but, it did (I smell the same kinda scent when I clean my rabbit's cage, minus the baby powder so it freaked me out). After a few minutes, however, I managed to smell some vanilla and patchouli, but it still smells somewhat "dirty" warm and not "yummy" warm at all...and where's the coffee in this, anyway? :( I'm so glad I got this relatively cheap seeing as it's so rare and the few bottles that pop up cost $150 + so I will keep it mainly for the packaging which is divine! Laura Mercier really outdid herself with that. It's so luxurious and feminine, really sets off the whole perfume, which unfortuantely is only average at best! Still, it's a good winter/autumn day scent, but like I said it's nothing spectacular. Also, the staying power is weak, and after an hour the scent remains very close to the skin, which I'm not a fan of. I like a scent to linger around me somewhat and not have to have a person be "literally on top of me" to smell anything. Shame this could have been a classic :/
What a special gourmand!
Sweet but not too much, woody, slightly crispy green, with a fantastic nutty quality.
I detect mostly coffee, vanilla, patchouli, vetiver & nuts.
A tamed PG02 Coze / PG10 Aomassai.
Inhaling this is a very nice experience, but I'm not sure if I could wear it on a daily basis.
I think I'll stick to Hypnotic Poison.
Not a big sillage, but staying power of over 6 hours. The drydown is a dusty vanilla.
Reminds me so much of Givenchy's Organza Indecence, but more gourmand, wet and candied.
Just fabulous for a late-summer night out.
This is such a delicious, sexy perfume. I normally can't wear patchouli because it just smells super dirty on me. But this is amazing. It's so gourmand, sweet and tasty. Lasts all the way through to the next day and just leaves the nicest dry down. This is in my top 5. If i had to choose one fragrance to wear forever, this would probably be it. It's strong but fine in summer or winter (i live in a hot tropical climate). I can't live without it. I have bought a second bottle of this because it's a limited edition.
I absolutely adore this brand new, untested purchase. It's becoming something of an evening addiction. It excites and comforts at the same time, spicy but sweet and womanly. Holy c...ow! Seriously, I may get another bottle for stockpiling purposes.
I'm drawn in immediately upon first application of Nuits Enchantees by the comforting and familiar tuberose that I adore so much. Within seconds I feel as though I've been wrapped in a luscious cocoon of decadent woods, spices, and lush creamy sweets. I must own a bottle of this - now! It's a gorgeous, yummy scent. Not many fragrances make me say, "I gotta have it."
Not for everyone, but a great beauty, and excellent value !
As with other powerful scents, I recommend decanting this for dabbing, to 'decrease the volume', LOL.
I think spraying is simply waaay too much, unless you take the one spray and move it EVERYWHERE...;-)
my god this is gorgeous!!!
sweet smelling... kind of like creme brulee toffee... but woody, amazing... delicious... delicate... OMG
A Treasure in a bottle!
The opening is very strong and hot, like a well done sweet arabian coffee with a lot of spices.Just one drop and you are thrown into adventure in the Far East , where the fairy tails for magics and princesses get alive. You won't wear this perfume, the perfume will wear you!
I don't get any citrus notes and flowers may be because of the big amount of spices and dry wood, as well as something like a wax that "sticks" them together and don't let them fade away. The ginger, pimento and precious woods make the fragrance smooth, smoky, but still it remains with a deep oriental character.
Vanilla here is vibrating, not just giving the necessarry sweetness but balancing the whole composition.
About the lasting power-it is great-more than 24 hours.
Nuits Enchantees by Laura Mercier-this is expensive and class parfyum.SWEET but mucilaginous. This is for woman in the office and bed.Very strong;.I like but not for me and my lifestyle.
