Pure Vanilla Lavanila Laboratories for women

I've always loved a vanilla scent, and have been on the hunt, high and low, for one that satisfies me and the man. I used to wear Body Shop Vanilla Perfume Oil, back in the day when it was far better quality than it is today. Since, I've tried many: the popular, the rare, the extremely expensive, thinking I would find something to come close to my old favorite. This is by far the closest I've come to that scent. It's warm and rich and delicious, but feminine. I love Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee, however, but I was looking for something more feminine. This is it. The Atelier is my day, this is my night. Beautiful.

My husband loves vanilla scents and this one hits it spot on. A lot of vanilla perfumes don't smell like real vanilla they just smell to sugary or fake. This scent has a deep vanilla with patchouli at the base. I love wearing this scent during the winter to feel nice and cozy but it would be a great night time scent for summer or spring. You can never go wrong with vanilla, it was chosen the favorite scent of men, I'm just glad they don't bottle up "roast beef dinner" or "cheeseburger" as perfumes, but they would probably catch a lot of men! haha

Much more than a linear vanilla due to the heliotrope, which I smell upon its opening, and the slight hint of patchouli. It will linger all day and offer comfort, sexiness, and attitude with every sniff. I initially bought it on a day out shopping with the hubby. You know men-he immediately went for the vanilla scents. But I am so glad I got it as it is much more complex than a single-note vanilla. And there's no cloying synthetic plastic doll's head smell to it either, which I get in the $90 bottle of Hannae Mori Butterfly I bought and hardly ever use. LOVE this line of all-natural perfumes!

I am not a vanilla type of person, I relate vanilla to very sugary cloying frags.

Oh what to say about pure vanilla? It starts off floral, but don't worry, you can catch hints of what is to come in that swirl of soft florals. More and more those soft florals warm into something rather spicy but not overwhelming. Then that spiciness gives way to a vanilla so strong and pure that I could not imagine this being called anything but Pure Vanilla.

Now, this is not to say that this vanilla is a true vanilla. I've smelled fragrances that have really captured what real vanilla smell like and this is not it. However it does a good job of striking a balance between true vanilla and the overwhelming sweetness that some artificial foody sweet scents have (rather a lot like Aquolina Pink.)

The smokiness is always in the background of that sweet vanilla, a perfect blend to this though for me I would prefer a less foody sweetness and a more raw vanilla, but this is rather wonderful if you don't mind. Be careful with how much you apply with this one, the sweetness can grow rather cloying and the scent is overwhelming as it lasts and lasts ALL DAY.

Pure Vanilla, on me, stays too heavy and has a spicy aftershave quality that never settles down to something wearable. Must be my body chemistry because I know other people love it, but on me it doesn't have a vanilla scent, just a sweet, spicy, musky scent that is too much. Amazing lasting power!

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Kchild (another member on here), I now have this one in my collection and it's made it to my list of favorites! This to me does not smell or resemble pink sugar at all. This is like a rich luxurious vanilla and like someone else said dries down to almost a powdery scent with vanilla. On me I don't detect any patchouli, just yummy vanilla the whole way. I already picture wearing this on cool fall days, wearing comfy sweats, and lounging around by our woodstove. LOVE IT!

It starts of strong and sweet . the patcholi is quite strong , the freesia softens it up a bit .
To me i feel this have some similarity to Pink sugar in the vanilla part , But just the vanilla part :) Sweet , rich and georgas, the heliotrop makes it interesting and mystic .
I feel a similarity to Angel whitout all the middlepart .
they are not very much alike . but some similaity it absoultly have . i like this alot , could not stop sniffing my arm . he he . good thing im just inside my house at the moment. people would think im crazy. he he . sniff sniff

I wore this on my arms and WalMarts "Vanilla cupcake spray" in my hair. Then all the GIRLS WERE LIKE "DANG U SMELL GOOD" one of them was like
"is that COCO BUTTER?" :) Nah boo! this aint no Palmers coco butter :)

Pure and simple, I'm obsessed with this scent.

Its a rich vanilla smell enhanced by soft floral notes that then settles down to a powdery finish. But here's what I love most of all: on me the dry down smells just like the soft malleable plastic that so many 80's toys were made out of. Now 99.9% of the time if I was asked if I like the smell of plastic I my answer would be no, but this is that sweet smelling plastic that the My Little Pony toys were made out of. Its like mainlining nostalgia. One of my male friends who's the same age as me asked me if I could put some on him so he could continue to smell it the rest of the day he found it so comforting. Weird but true.

For me this is an amazing, not cloying, but bitter-sweet and rich vanilla, with a hint of patchouli (which I don't really like but in this scent it's in nice harmony with the other notes). At first I feel it a bit alcoholic and sharp. (I don't know, why, but I always associate patchouli to champagne or cocktails.) After 10 minutes it becomes more and more just like vanilla bean, as beautiful as can be. Longevity and sillage are very good. I love the idea, using only natural ingredients, too. One of my new 'bests of', on my wishlist.

If you are looking for vanilla, it is the best fragrance ever. I love it.

Just bought the rollerball and I LOVE IT! It's a perfect vanilla... everything you want when you think of vanilla. It does have other notes I realize, but they don't take away from the vanilla in any way. It's "Pure" enough for me. Even with the subtle hints of spice that remind me of chocolate, it's still great for layering too!

I ignored this line until recently. If I could wear only wear a one note perfume for the rest of my life it would be vanilla. Pure Vanilla used to seem powdery when I smelled it from a unsprayed tester (hello heliotrope), but on my skin it's a rich vanilla that's sexy and perfect for cooler weather or night. Sometimes the freesia and heliotrope wave from the back of the crowd, but they never really come forward in this scent. I don't think perfume has to be incredibly complex in order to come across as alluring and interesting. This is one of those...Tonka bean was left out of the notes listed, but it's important to this fragrance.

Lavanila PURE VANILLA is not, as its name might seem to suggest, ONLY VANILLA. Instead, the pure vanilla note is ensconced in a comfy cushion of patchouli, adorned with heliotrope (according to the company lit, anyway), and buttressed by tonka bean. A real treat!

Vanilla fragrances are essentially comfort scents--perhaps in part because of their very lack of complexity--and this is one of the best I've come across. The vanilla note here is on the darker side--not white vanilla sugar, but closer to a vanilla bean toasted by the sun.

I'll have no difficulty using up my mini rollerball and recommend this all-natural creation to all those who love oriental vanilla scents!

This is a really nice vanilla. The other notes (patchouli, freesia) just add depth to the vanilla, they are subtle and blended in well. This is a sweet perfume, but not foodie or super candy-sweet - it has an almost clean, dry freshness to it that is unusual for many vanilla perfumes. It is also long-lasting, I have the rollerball and just a couple of swipes lasts through the day! It is also fabulous for blending with other perfumes to sweeten them up a bit. Great perfume!

Update: I have found another vanilla that smells similar to this one - it's Cara by Farmacia S.S. (not in the Fragrantica database.) That one is more expensive, but Pure Vanilla is just as good for half the price.

got my roll on today and i think it is very interesting how vanilla can smell so different from one perfume to the next. I can appreciate all of them! I have yet to smell a terrible or synthetic vanilla. Well, I love this one too!! A very pretty, warm vanilla that I cannot stop sniffing. :-)

This perfume is amazing. I got it in the rollerball form because I wanted to try it out without spending too much money. It is simple but it smells amazing. It's not overpowering but it is soft and feminine. And they are very accurate by naming it pure vanilla since it smells like vanilla. Also its all natural.

Ladies if you want compliments from a MAN you must wear this scent! I have not encountered a man young & old that did not compliment me and ask what scent I was wearing.

Pure Vanilla is the first fragrance that I have owned from LaVanila. (I have tested the Vanilla Grapefruit and the Vanilla Lavender-both of which are delightful, as well). I could gush for days about this amazing scent! The title for this all-natural, paraben-free fragrance is quite accurate- PURE VANILLA. This is not synthetic nor is it too sweet. In fact, it is the most perfect vanilla-based scent that I have found! The rich, warm scent of madagascar vanilla blends with the other notes to create a soft, powdery, earthy scent. This is one of the rare fragrances that is quite noticable without ever being cloying. This scent makes me feel amazing every time that I wear it; it is a mood booster for certain! I can't stop smelling my inner elbow and wrists when I am wearing this. I purchased the rollerball of the scent and it is fantastic for "on the go" or if you are on a budget as I am. I look forward to trying the all-natural deodorant ASAP! I have read rave reviews about it and I can only imagine how divine I would feel, wearing the scented deodorant with the lotion and the perfume. Delicious!

First layer seems heavy. Given some time to dry down, it's very charming in a strong woman with direction kind of way. I love the addition of patchouli to the vanilla. The freesia is what gets you first, but it is worth the wait for the base. Longevity is fantastic also! The linger on my blouse is uplifting for me. This is the most pure scent in from this company. No other stands up to its strengths.
