Ambrette 9 by Le Labo is a Aromatic fragrance for women and men. The fragrance features amber, fruity notes, amalfi lemon, ambrette (musk mallow) and musk.
Fruity musk. Ambrette 9 is a thin and synthetic concoction of slightly acidic, sort of fresh, fruit and musks. The fragrance is so subtle that initially I couldn't detect anything but a light (non-sweet) fruityness but as it started to react with the skin, synthetic musks made their presence clearer turning Ambrette 9 into a transparent, inoffensive but overall pleasant "clean-fragrance" Nice but unremarkable.
Lovers of the "Jardins" serie by Hermes should dig this.

ambretta?fruit!!intense fruit not so sweet like could be a fruity frag
I smell apple juice and pear.. it stings a little
not for me
it remember me byredo pulp 'cause they are both an overdose of fruit
Very, very, very subtle, almost imperceptible, musky, pear and baby powder fragrance.
Nice for people who like an incredibly weak scent and are embarrassed to wear perfume in the first place... but I would have thought the high price would be a big deterrent for them.
I would recommend Luten's Daim Blond if you'd like a pear scent you can actually smell.
I love Le Labo because their fragrances are almost always weird smelling, and I love weird. However, Ambrette 9 in this case might be a little too strange for me to comprehend.
It's a very light, intimate fragrance which is what I initially noted. Ambrette is not a note I am familiar with, and now that I have experienced it, I'm not too keen. This fragrance smells musky, but not in a dirty, sexy, animalic way. It's like a white, powdery musk blended with sugar-free marshmallows and pistachios. But it's not a gourmand.
On the skin it's light and fluffy. Some reviewers are saying that it's a scent for a baby. Well I'd prefer my babies to smell natural and to be honest it's quite an expensive fragrance for a one year old. Supposedly it's meant to compliment your own skin scent.
I agree with Henri345que, it does smell like cotton. The actual scent of clothes before they're washed and scented with laundry detergent. Ambrette 9 is such an odd fragrance that I see myself going off on all kinds of tangents trying to describe it.
It doesn't last unfortunately, which is a shame because Le Labo is usually known for their killer sillage and fantastic lasting power. I think my issue with Ambrette 9 is that I find it bland and lacking in character. It's a fragrance which has me confused as to who actually buys it.
I love musk in scents, particularly Kiehl's Original Musk, but this fragrance is under par in that department. I don't think I could possibly express my disappointment in any other way than through this review.
One of the loveliest ambrette fragrances I've tried. It's soft, subtle and slightly musky.
It's a pleasant, although short-lived, musky fragrance. The musk here have a soft-cotton aroma and seem proper for a baby fragrance. I thought that the pear i was getting at the opening was something from my mind, but now that i see it listed as one of the notes i know that i'm not getting crazy. The pear is the first note that i get it upon application, but you have to see that it's not the smell of a fresh pear at nature, it's the synthetic that they use to emulate the pear smell, which is not so similar to pear and that reminds me a little of those products to iron clothes easier. It's the same note used in byredo blanche; blanche and Ambrette 9 are similar, both have a cotton-synthetic aura, with byredo being worser, more synthetic, with a soapy aroma that i truly hate. Ambrette 9 has the fruity side, the muskier, and a light ambrette aroma that seems delicious. The problem is that it's short-lived and overpriced, but if it weren't would be a undemanding fragrance for those days that you only something light and barely fragrant.
