There's a lot going on in Ciel, Mon Jardin!
It's got some gourmand sweetness, a good bit of green, floral notes and relatively prominent patchouli.
The opening is tart (rhubarb) with soft green notes. As it starts to dry down the hyacinth comes in and really amps up the green notes. The hyacinth remains prominent and I was surprised how much I like it in combination with the vanilla, patchouli and caramel.
I'm not a fan of strong vanilla, but this is fine. The vanilla is there but not overwhelming. Nor is it outrageously sweet. If anything, it's a bit on the simple side, but some people prefer that presentation. When wearing it, I think that it's pleasant, but I keep thinking, shouldn't there be more to it? The major "problem" for me seems to be that if I think of wearing this fragrance I soon think of something that has more of a "wow factor" and want to wear that one instead.
such a pleasant surprise! I received a tester vial of this fragrance and it immediately reminded me of Kinski. Although there is no cannabis note in Ciel, mon jardin!, I suppose it is the combination of the sour rhubarb and the sweetness of botch patchouly and caramel that provokes a cannabis effect. I love it! Kinksi lovers, give this one a try; I hope you'll agree with me..
they are fantastic!!!
It was not the case for me, very classy and elegant, my advice mix it with Molinard "fleur de figuier"
I was eager to try this, but unfortunately, it let me down. I got the bergamot, the greenery and the rhubarb -so far so good- but in about 5 minutes all I could smell was the vanilla, heavy and cloying. Perhaps it was just a case of bad chemistry between us, because the list of ingredients does sound rather promising. I hope others have more luck.
