at first application i immediately thought...old lady. i realize that is not completely fair, as not everyone likes fruity or gourmand scents and i myself did not take too kindly to someone on here calling chanel no5 such when that is my sister's signature scent and she is neither frumpy nor an 'old lady'. this does start off like french milled soap, and is not the kind of smell i like. this fragrance would be good for someone who likes their t-shirts ironed, and their cookies on plates. the kind of woman who would be horrified to wear jeans or to climb a tree. while this is definetly a mature scent, it is not necessarily 'old lady'...it is not for me.
