Rose Kashmirie Les Parfums de Rosine for women

I wasn't really expecting to like Les Parfums de Rosine ROSE KASHMIRIE, as its name reminded me of the spice-cabinet perfumes I've tried in the past and never really fallen for. As predicted, I find ROSE KASHMIRIE to be wearable but not compelling, a somewhat uninspired perfume with lots of spices and rose mixed together in a rather haphazard way, composed perhaps with the enthusiasm of an obligatory homework assignment. You win some, you lose some.

The notes of ROSE KASHMIRIE are of the indisputably high quality I've come to expect from the house of Rosine, but I just don't find this particular composition that great. It seems a bit flat, overall. This is definitely more oriental than floral, with a dark, dense component—almost styrax-like—dominating the perfume. Although saffron numbers among the notes, it is not clearly detectable to me in this composition—nothing like CSP Sultan Safran or the AP saffron perfume.

ROSE KASHMIRIE is perfectly respectable, but it doesn't really compete with the many superlative contenders in the congested category of floriental perfumes, many of which unfurl in delectable layers throughout their development. There are literally dozens of oriental perfumes that I'd reach for before this.

I read a review about this niche line of fragrances and went to their website to see if I could get samples. Voila! I recvd the 15 sample packet, and ordered the remaining six. I am in love with the all, and look forward to trying a new one or two each day! So far, my favorite is 'Rose Kashmirie'-very soothing and cozy. the fragrance lingered all evening, a constant companion!

Heavy, heady oriental rose; powdery without being soft, this is a rose drowning in saffron, sandalwood and benzoin. The opening wants to give the impression of fresh, but really it isn't. It is very much suited for nights of passion and mystery. Could easily be taken for one of those Montale concoctions that just take you to the Middle East and don't let you come back to the real world until you wash them off. Very powerful,and beautiful, opulent and rich. Not for the faint of heart of those just flirting with the idea of a rose with an oriental hint.
I love it, and this is exactly what I have imagined Maitresse from AP to smell like. But that one is only a shade of this. oh well. This is for a woman who knows what she likes and wants, and she is not afraid to get it; she also doesn't care what others think of her, and loves exotic and out of the ordinary things; actually, she enjoys people talking about her, behind her back.... good, bad.... who cares? any publicity is good publicity for her!!!
Oh, I definitely recommend this one! 10 out of 10. Silage, lasting power and presentation, all perfect.

Lovely, opulent rose fragrance that is not too heavy, though I definitely get the saffron and spice notes. Long lasting and classic, but not quite as different a rose fragrance as I expected it to be. Scored 7/10 on my P de R personal chart.

A sweet heavy Bulgarian rose with bitter notes that I wish were stronger. It's fairly true to the rose oils I've sampled, but the bitter notes could cut that heaviness just a little bit more if they were stronger. Not quite right on me.

As it happens - I become a "rose-saffron-vanilla-sandalwood-fragrance-collector".
It started with White Aoud - OMG, what else? - and followed by Aoud Roses Petals, Lyric, Rose D'homme, Rose Aoud....etc
and certainly Rose Kashmirie.
Vanilla and sandalwood are the great sinners to my nose in this scent. Incredible richness, lusciousness, creamy mellowness, still softness are the results.
Sometimes I find it a bit too sweet to my taste, I prefer Rose D'Homme from the line (more spices, woody nuances!), but no doubt - this one is also a masterpiece.
If I pretend being a Woman- I wear this. When I wanna confuse my ambience - I spray Rose D'Homme.

It is a very warm spicy oriental rose but not cloying or Opium-effect.
It has depth without being a stone on your nose. It's a very interesting scent to explore for any oriental lovers because it is more modern and less heavy but with a clear Eastern rose mood. Saffron here is very warm, dfferently from Aoud Queen Rose that becomes a cold composition on my skin, even if a beautiful one.
Rose Kashmirie is all about rose, resins and warmth. A total luscious treat for winter! Probably not an everyday ready to go to work scent. It deserves time to enjoy like old secret pleasures.
Great longevity. It's expensive but if you can afford it is worthy the price.

A floral oriental, heavy on the rose. My favorite of the Rosine line. It reminds me ever so slightly of Amourage Lyric, but with both fruit and flowers toned down several notches. The myrrh and the grassy note make this one special. Soft and wearable, but full of character. On my wish list.

KittyKati's got it right- this is an oriental floral. I was nervous to try this because of the myrrh and vetiver, which are usually no nos for me.

However, I don't pick up on that here, instead I get very a rich, sensuous rose accord laid on a vanilla/amber/benzoin base that is making me melt. Big love for htis one; it ties with La Rose for my two favorites of this line.

Kashmiri Roise, sign me up, but alas it was not to be. Too sweet, not enough complexity. What a shame.
