Loewe 7 by Loewe is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. This is a new fragrance. Loewe 7 was launched in 2010. The fragrance features vetyver, musk, neroli, virginia cedar, incense, rose, lily-of-the-valley, red apple and pepper.
they have just released the summer version few days ago but this site isnt listing it yet, bottle is the same but with a lighter blue color, but smell has nothing to do, a summerish almost sport fragance not so long lasting, nothing in common with the original 7
There is a summer version of this coming up: "7 Natural", don't know why it hasn't been published already. Can't wait to smell this!
i just love this fragrance. i combined it by chance with baldessarini del mar and the result was amazing
This is a Heaven smelling, I can't stop smelling its "dark" incense. Loewe 7 is my present signature.
Bought a sample, wore it to a Christmas party and whalla....the result was absolutely great. I had one lady litterally tell me she wasn't stalking me but had to keep smelling me.. Ha ha..weird but flattering.
The smokey incence and cedar notes hit right off the bat. These do die down but after some time. Then comes the peppery/vetiver/floral accords. After a bit of time it all seems to mix into this great scent. Scent on me lasts forever and the projection is pretty amazing even when there where 100 plus people at the Christmas party, this wonderful scent just stood out.
One of t'he best fragances for men.
It remins me to the smell of a wood box of cigars.
Elegant!!!!
:) very interesting fragrance, bought it today after testing it several times.
It is AMAZING !!
It smells Like burnt incense along with fresh flowers.
Strong fragrance with good silage but i wish it was stronger. Very tempting, you smell it once and you would want to smell it again and again.
I love it!
When I think of the perfect definition of masculinity, this is one of the perfumes that come to my mind. Loewe knows how to connect with modern-day men who are concerned about fashion and style. 100% recommendable.
Daring...
is the word!!
Daring, for the house, to come up with this amazing, unique, intriguing scent
Daring, for the man, who connects with this scent, feeling unafraid to flaunt his powers.
I thought Gucci Pour Homme was the edgiest... but this goes beyond....
Masterpiece.
Amazing smell, is smokey, musky and kind of sweet ( not to much )
Sillage and longevity are superb, and has great quality, doesn´t smell synthetic at all.
One of the best realeses in the last 5 years. Up there with terre, dior homme, aventus, l´nuit, roadster.
It is one of those unusual colognes that you may love or hate! So strong that dominates all other scents in 10 meter radius of you!
Like “Encre Noire Lalique” it smells pinyon wood, actually burning pine wood! Smoky and wild scent.
I agree with the opinion “don’t blind buy it or gift it”!!!
Longevity and sillage are very high.
forgot to mention:
that its better to be called Loewe 2 (two ingredients only and not 7 ) ! ,but still very nice :-)
now in dilemma,I have Guerlain Vetevir and the 7 ?
which one is the one ?
I bought one today after many testing. its marvellous, alluring ...etc :-) .
incense is bit strong at the beginning, then it fades but still there, plus pepper and No sweetness (which is good for me).
longevity is great on my skin. its preferred to wear it wherever there's cold weather or artificial one(aircond)!
again, this kind of scent you may love it or hate it and nothing in between to say its ordinary one.
Be careful with this one, cannot be a blind purchase definteley. Loewe is a great perfume house but this one should be tried first. Too much incense in the opening, I feel like being in a catholic church... the drydown is better, but still you may not like it at all.

i tried this out on my recent trip and i didnt purchase it because it smells like straight up potpourri! off the top i got some apple and a LOT of incense, the apple later fades and you are left with a peppery incense that will NOT come off, i must say that this frag gets son SERIOUS projection and longevity, if you like how it smells it is definitely a good one in those 2 aspects, but i wouldnt really recommend it
At last something different. Yo can love it. You can hate it. But different.
Lots of clove, as Maddyrain and Lotofire said. The most proeminent note my nose feels. Plus a woody note, probably the cedar. Looks like as a well done fragrance, but I´m not sure yet for a regular use by myself. But one thing that this scent did was made me miss what I felt when I smelled Herrera for Men for the first time: a remarkable scent, clove included. Herrera for Men doesn't look to have the same composition from 1991 anymore.
Excellent: a classic vetiver with incense and airy musk. It does remind me too of Comme des Garçons Kyoto and Gucci pour Homme but Loewe 7 is much more transparent and fresh. Actually I would say it's closer to the spicy fresh theme of Cacharel Pour L'Homme and Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford.
Chic, classic, great for work.
Loewe 7 is a great addition to Solo and Essencia pour Homme.
I finally purchased this after testing it many times in Harrods. I love it. It does what is rare in the modern fragrance world and that is transporting me emotionally to another place. I did not care if I was the only person who liked the smell because I accepted from the start that this was very different to most releases out there. However, you can imagine my surprise when after tentatively giving it it's first outing I got lots of compliments.
I just love this scent.. is the best of the best ..
Every man in the world should have this fragance.. and we could have a better world ;)
If you want to blow girls' sex glands up, try this one; even men sniff after me! This one is something extremely extraordinary, highly divine and ultra chic, that frankly most of our dresses don't deserve it! The royal blue bottle speaks for itself! The scent matches flawlessly with the flacon. It scents like velvet and silk. It seems to be remained from ancient times, from silk way and the trades. Because it's something immensely pure and neat, seems that has never touched a dirt. Something reminds souvenir when you get back from a far visit. Also can be a good souvenir from Spain, includes all Spanish moods!
Girls can't control themselves, it's Don Joan!
I love this perfume.
It's phenomenal and unique, to be easily recognized among all other perfumes.
I think this conveys an image of self confidence, strength, virility and bravery.
It is certainly not a scent for boys.
Its longevity and projection are very good.
I want to have in my collection Loewe 7.
Bravo Loewe, your "7" honors the perfumes of the Iberian Peninsula, bringing them to a top than ever before.
a divine smell...great only for men scent...sexy,charismatic, simply the best, as a Tina had sings :D
loooove this
7 is the most beautiful fragrance derived from Gucci pour Homme that I know. Its combination of incense, apple, cedar, and (lots of) clove is long lasting and strong. I don't get any floral notes. They may be there but I'm sure the clove note is the main star of this composition.
As stated by others reviewers, the bootle is tacky. In fact, its color is beautiful, but the spray part is completely mad of silver plastic. Very cheap, but the fragrance is perfect. Highly recommended.
All i can get is cedar, some mint and loooooots of clove. I love Esencia by this same house, i wish i liked it but i dont...smells like that old medicine that the dentists used to calm down the pain in some toothaches...i dont want to smell like a dentists office sorry.
The last time i went to Harrods i sprayed this and gave it space and time to shine ( the previous time i gave it a spray i had about 10 other fragrances up my arm and it got kind of lost in the mix) and wow, i am glad i did. Firstly, it is very different to mainstream releases. It is haunting and cold with just a hint of fruit/florals mixed with incense that gives it an air of a Spanish funeral about it.
There is a bold yet distant feel to it. it is the kind of fragrance that if someone walked by you wearing it you couldnt help but look to see who it was. it is not a come closer neck nozzler by any means.
my friend K1 (great review below) told me it did not last long on him but i did not have any problems with the longevity and could smell it on my T-shirt for days after. I love it and cant wait to get it.
I am not fond of Spain, but I love this scent!
Buy it, you will not regret it. Very rare scent, so women will be impressed as most of them never smelt a man like that !!!
9.5/10
♥ ♥ ♥
This is why I love Spain!
I tested it many times on my wrist to become sure what I'm going to get; I couldn’t believe!
It opens cottony and yummy in a royal way with fruity faint undertone. Start out a little sweet, sour and dusty. It's a fresh but not aquatic, and it's more spicy and oriental than musky. The middle tone is floral but still keep going on the style. Only in dry out a smooth sub-smell of musk appears but not so recognizable.
It gives me happiness and confidence. Smells like flower shops, pure and tidy. Highly divine, angels with horns on the gates of heaven! Something royal, luxurious and gentle.
I think it's perfect for any formal ceremonies and parties. Also sets on casual dress but preferably in a fashioned way. Works in mild sunny and cold winter days but I insist sunny days; let it presents its glorious mood.
9/10 for longevity
9/10 for projection
10/10 for scent
This EDT has a scent very invasive. Dense input notes dominated by a very synthetic neroli. Middle notes of lily of the valley with roses and a touch strange synthetic spices and incense that seemed to mix flowers in combination with naphthalene. Base notes of wood mixed with pepper and green tones.
It is a modern and daring fragrance suitable for men 30 and older, their use in teens is too left for them, the use of fragrance is perhaps within days of business meal, or daily use. Can be used in any season.
Personally, I think this fragrance an insult. I am very surprised that the fragrance house has created the wonderful "Solo " to create this scent is so pervasive and synthetic, with a nasty touch of mothballs. I do not recommend this fragrance.
Beautiful long lasting incense scent with great longevity; very masculine indeed and very Spanish too; perfect for the 30+ age group...if you want to grasp the mood of Easter in a catholic church when the vapours of incense fly around after the service...this is your scent...very nice and surprising coming out of a very jazzy blue aquatic looking bottle...shall be buying it sometime...big thumbs up !!!
Like many have noted, this is somewhat reminiscent of CdG Kyoto, although the latter is much darker in mood. Very masculine, I was really taken aback when I first tried it as it is completely different from most new masculine offerings on the market: it is not a fresh, citrus, woody scent. In fact, it reminded me initially of Cacharel pour L'Homme, which is probably my all time fave. However, upon development I found that it is quite different, and I like it much less.
I wore it to work the other day and upon application it was very nice and I felt like an uber cool, macho yet suave Madrileno on my morning commute. About an hour and a half later I smelled like I straight up peed my pants. Now I know that some people bag on Kouros for having a urine scent, but this was dead on...and totally embarrassing. (And I'm an elementary school teacher too. The last thing I want my kids to think is that I peed my pants!)
Anyways, the pee wore off and what was left was a close to the skin above average incense that wasn't bad, but didn't make up for the difficult middle notes. I won't be buying a bottle of this.
Generally, I like incense fragrances, though I've never smelled CdG incense series, reviewers here refer to.
At the beginning this one seemed too hawkish, kinda bellicose statement that put me immediately off. A bit later, it becomes easier to digest. But in 30 min here comes surprise - surprise: '7' starts smelling very similar to my favourite Persephone (probably with a light hint to Cassandra) aromatherapy bath ball by Greek Fresh Line. Same combination of Rose-Neroli-Incense, in Fresh Line it goes as 'Relaxing, anti-stress'. And Persephone, in its turn, reminds me of gourmand Angel enhanced by rich incense though. Perfumery moves in a mysterious way. Euouae.
I don't think 7 smells like CDG Kyoto. In Kyoto I get a strong coffee note, while in Loewe 7 I get a lot of spices. It smells quite "foody", in fact. And of course, there are lots of incence, which I love.
It has impressed me in a good way.
hi
i tested it today, the top note was sharp with incense predominance ,then it became really nice and not overpowering ...some similarities with the Beat and Gucci pour homme, but less sweaty..
longevity is good on my skin
Loewe 7 really seems on skin like a rebel child of Comme des Garcons that run away of his house and was adopted by another brand. 7 has that resinous woody aroma that Commes des Garcons love to use in their fragrances, and which is more noticeable in the Incense series. The opening is a mixture of salty black peppers, dry cedar and animalic, resinous incense. It has a dry aroma that male fragrances used to have, but at the same time is not so heavy, or so religious in it's smoky incense. What really surprises me in this one is the appearance of a spiced apple in the middle of the woody-incense-pepper. There is apple and something that smells like clove for me, and this makes me think of the beautiful aroma of an apple and clove tea served in winter. Unfortunately, this aspect doesn't last and the fragrance returns to the cedar-incense-pepper accord. I saw some comments that this had a poor longevity and sillage, i found it quite potent and with a adequate trail. I'd recommend it for persons that like Comme des Garcons fragrances or dry-woody compositions like Gucci Pour Homme.
hi i smell it today its beautiful , in the same time its close to gucci rush. but more powerful.
i think it is a great perfume cause its aroma or scent is distinguished
The new perfume from the Spanish designer dives (according to the marketing) into the real essence of the bullfighter getting ready for the "corrida" in those moments of preparation, surrounded of flowers, passion and mistery.
But the real stuff is that "7 de Loewe" = "CDG Kyoto" or viceversa.
This new fragrance has nothing to do with "Solo" (which has a more interesting floral twist than "7" in my opinion).
The bottle is horrid: it has a very dinstictive 90's tacky design: the matte glass is petrol blue while the atomizer structure and the spray buttom is made entirily of shiny chrome silver tone plastic that looks terribly cheap.
"7" opens soft, delicate, airy.
Not a single sharp note.
It is an intimate perfume, and this feeling goes more accentued by the very spiritual incense accord. To me, it mells like a cathedral or like a funeral home.
It is a linear fragrance without many changes. To my nose, is a blueprint of "Kyoto CDG, with some logical variations:
- The incense is more timid compared to "Kyoto".
- "7" owns a more noticeable frity-floral facet: shy rose, dewy lily of the valley and apple surrounding a velvety-peppery incense.
In the drydown the woody cedar appears but just in the background while all remain as a floral-incense accord.
The truth is that I expected something completely different, and by that I mean I'm not disappointed: it's true that I was expecting a good and innovative floral perfume, but the truth is that Loewe has decided to cover its back, throwing a good cologne that won't lean to the feminine side and yet, play the Russian roulette if we recognize that the Spanish perfume market is pretty manstream, where the classics are abundant and very few people are actually bothered in go beyond "L'eau D "Issey", "L'eau par Kenzo", "Le Male", "Hugo Boss Bottled" and "Dior Homme".
However, knowing the typical Spanish men's taste, I have to admit that "7" will have a good success within the metrosexual public.
In the other side, the people that go beyond and know what is going on in the fragrance market will stick in "Power", "Dior Homme" or "Fahrenheit 32" regarding a well done floral perfume.
Personaly I rather smell like azahar or wite ginger flower than like a church or a funeral home.
Incense lovers will love this as is a versatile juice but probably will chose "Kyoto" for the folowing reason: "7" it's a real timid, close to skin perfume having zero projection and a below average lasting power.
