Wild Lavander (for women and men)

Prima facie, Wild Lavender is exactly what it's title denotes: an age-old, traditional Lavender perfume.

However, and not surprisingly, the Master creator, Lorenzo Villoresi, conjures up a special modern take on this theme and gives us an exquisitely well-made, deliciously subtle, and complex eau de toilette.

To be sure, this IS a 'lavender' fragrance in dominant theme and outcome, though it is the nuances of the respective chords that delight.

Top notes are fresh, clean and quite soft, with the lavender facet soaring high alongside strong aspects of coriander, iris and bay. There's an absence of astringency here and, throughout, this fragrance remains 'rounded' and lacking any harsh or sharp edges.

Middle notes are spicey, but again, relatively soft and give rise to the gorgeous base notes that really last and, as always, Lorenzo blends just the right amount of musk to deepen this perfume and give it masculinity. (I am sure many women would wear this fragrance comfortably too)

In conclusion: a delightfully modern,very Italian, sophisticated, re-working of a classic theme that is so easy to wear for any occassion and, or everyday. This is a fragrance that captures the freshness of outdoors and one can almost reach-out and grab handfulls of the fresh Italian herbs and flowers used here and 'feels' organic- as opposed to synthetic- in all its outcomes.
