Lucky You is nothing more than the standard blueprint for classic fresh fougères like Cool Water, Green Irish Tweed, and Aspen. It more closely resembles Aspen in fact, although without any of the meat to flesh it out. This fragrance is thin, wane, exceedingly pale from start to finish. There's a brief hit of alcohol and nonadienal on top, which replicates wet grass and violet leaf accords in the most expressionless way possible. A remote melon note melds with a half-hearted white musk base. Nice if you're 15; anyone older who wants to smell of postmodern greenery should skip this scent and either wear Cool Water, Green Irish Tweed, or Aspen.

WAY too synthetic. A "chemical bomb" like Abercrombie and Fitch's Fierce. My brother wore this one when he was in high school, and passed his bottle down to me. I thought it went bad, but then I smelled a brand new bottle and it was all about that green, chemical smell.

Not my cup of Joe.

My following comment may suprise you, "It is a sort of an A&F Fierce flanker".

Abercrombie & Fitch's mega seller comes to mind but this has a "plastic-like" and "green-esque" angle to it.

I'll wear it strictly for casual warm weather daytime maybe night. I would not wear it for more serious occasions or cooler weather expecting people to take me seriously in this.

It's a younger crowd "smeller" to me. It can be inexpensive so you should'nt have to worry about losing big money if you don't like it.

Since there are two pages for this fragrance, I'll post my review here as well. And @ Odiee99, I do not recommend Amazon for fragrance purchases. It sounds like you got a fake and you'd be surprised at how many fakes there are out there! Even the cheapies are counterfeited!

I like to think of this as Mugler Cologne for a younger audience, although it's not as soapy nor as bitter but rather sweeter and more floral. I went through 2 bottles of this in my teens and for good reason. It just works! No other fragrance I've tried truly captures the complexity of Spring like Lucky You. Call me crazy! The floral opening, with the cotton flower and melilotus herb, blends so nicely with the woody notes in the heart and base. I also get a hint of vetiver throughout the life of the fragrance as well. Longevity is about 4-6 hours and it's projection is moderate. The best part is that a 3.4 oz can be had for under $20 and the shower gel and lotion can be had for a few extra bucks give or take. Either way, it's a wonderful cheapie that's great for the summer and spring months.

Now, imagine yourself in a giant field out in the countryside in the middle of spring. The air is not at all humid. It's just a cool, breezy day, partly coudly, and everything around you seems alive. The field is full of dark green grass with flowers scattered about as they sway in the breeze. You're sitting under the shade of a giant oak tree just admiring nature in all it's beauty and wonder. You close your eyes and nature's aroma puts you at peace. That's what Lucky You is for me. I love this stuff!

I bought this blind based on review on Amazon. I am thoroughly convinced that those reviewers got paid to make those comments. When I first sprayed it all I could smell was alcohol. When the alcohol wore down it smelled like some kind of floor cleaner. Some kind of green all purpose cleaner.

I tried to give it to my 12 year old nephew and he didn't like it. This Suxxx.

It's a light but aromatic green scent (similar to Avon Essence for men but it's less linear).
Not very longlasting but simply lovely pleasant:
30 minutes tamarind-grass mix , then 40-50 minutes light cottonflower-cardamom-bamboo freshness and finally some teakwood mixed with heart notes for an hour but the end is so subtle, only people close to you will detect this scent...and that's it.

Very youngish, funny scent for under 30.
100 ml for 15 $ it's a good buy if you want a not too complicated,funny-fresh cologne :)

my fave, fave, fave fragrance class for men....oriental fougeres make my heart race, and my knees shake!
(see xeryus rouge, versace dreamer, la nuit parfum, le male, joop, elixir hermes are to die for and of which i own the first two).
i've been toying with the idea of buying this as i ADORE grass/cardamom scents, they work so well on my skin, and as it is a 15$ staple at marshalls.
but another mans cologne to my collection?
i tried to justify this newest perfume addition....i kept drifting back and forth to the perfume display when i woman came by and lo and behold picked it up from all the others and sprayed herself with it.
the shameless weirdo that i am (when it comes to perfume) , i asked if i could smell her and she agreed....well, after a couple giggles and sniffs, i walked away with the bottle and am happy as a cat with some nip.
a grass scent for sure--but not fresh cut grass, this is mellow, sun warmed, dry grass with cardomom, rain, aloe, and sandalwood.
i do not get alchohol sting others describe. rather it is a
a shower using moroccan soap...i'm loving this
can we just compromise and call this unisex?

Love this on my husband, way better than the usual cheap body spray, but not as expensive as some other colognes. Great for warm weather, although, it is a rather simple scent.

Uncomplicated, unfussy, and mostly linear on my skin. After an initial sharp burst, it morphs into what reminds me of a glass of lemonade sweetened with a floral-infused sugar.

I enjoy it, and find myself gravitating to it on weekends rather than for office or formal wear.

Its sweetness would work well on a woman...

Its not that I hate it, because I actually think the scent is actually kind of unique. Its just that it's very "2D".

I don't notice any change in notes at all as I wear it. I liked it a lot when it just came out and I was just becoming a teenager. Now I crave more.

The one stage of smell it does have is pretty interesting though. Oriental is a great word for the smell, actually.

I bought this cologne very cheap. Untested.

The top notes are heavy with alcohol and sharp. There is definately an intitial green note there. It's hard to determine what it actually is. I don't smell anything floral or spicy. This cologne is pleasant enough after the dry down begins. Woody and musky, but not very original.

While I understand that some people may find this enjoyable, it's just not for me.
