Lucky You for Men (for men)

I have a somewhat contradictory opinion of Lucky You than those previously expressed. Lucky You, in my opinion, fills a niche between the really cheap, drug store/grocery shelf frags and the more expensive ones typically found in a department store. I have over 100 different fragrances in my collection and I think Lucky You is actually very good for the price. Keep in mind that you are not paying a big price so don't expect Armani.

The opening is best described as a green floral. Yes, it's a generic floral. I guess it reminds me of a flower shop where aromas from all the different blooms collide into one non-descript floral essence. However, you can also smell that live plant green scent from the leaves and stems.

I don't get much of the cardamom. For me, LY progresses into a warm, woody drydown. I think rosewood is the driver here.

LY is a very inoffensive frag that is a very safe choice for any gathering whether at the office or in a causal setting; probably because it doesn't project much from the skin. However, those close to you will find the scent very pleasant. I actually discovered it though a female at the office who wears the women's version faithfully. It's not an "attention getter" but it makes one plesantly scented.

For those who do not choose to pay the price for more expensive fragrances yet still want to smell very clean and pleasant, Lucky You is a very good choice. Keep some in the gym bag for that after workout shower or to use in casual gatherings.

I bought this cologne very cheap. Untested.

The top notes are heavy with alcohol and sharp. There is definately an intitial green note there. It's hard to determine what it actually is. I don't smell anything floral or spicy. This cologne is pleasant enough after the dry down begins. Woody and musky, but not very original.

While I understand that some people may find this enjoyable, it's just not for me.
