An oriental mystery taking place in a rose garden. This beautiful composition starts of with notes of delicate rose and fresh fruit. Agar wood essence takes its place at the heart, while the base is formed of white chocolate, rose aoud, ambergris, vanilla and guaiac wood.

Not having access to Micallef fragances where I live, I was very gratified to find a small number of them at the Duty Free in Dubai when I was passing through a week ago. I dutifully tried a few of them (Rose Aoud being one) and wouldn't bother wasting good money on fancy bottles with (IMHO) sub standard juice inside them. Rose Aoud definitiely has a very matronly effect. I personally don't like fragrances being called "old lady-ish" but unfortunately on my skin and to my nose this one definitely is!! Dowdy, staid and a little "moth ball-y" ... pass!!!
I just adore Rose Aoud! What a beauty, I cannot get enough of it.
It is rose and aoud done in a totally gourmand way, just like rose confiture mixed with some aoud, ( very little to my nose), but just enough to give it that middle eastern character. It starts very sweet, and quite strong, with aoud dominating, after which the aoud subsides, giving more room to roses and fruits. The sweetness doesn't last, actually the whole scent looses power within half an hour, but the drydown is clean and soft, just a trace of flowers and woods remaining on skin.
There is something very feminine and lovely here, and I can compare this more to Onde Mystere than to Montale. If you look for a statement rose and aoud perfume, please go for Montale Aoud Queen Roses.
A very very charismatic presence, an indulgence of senses seeking immediate pleasure, it is love in the infatuation phase, where you just can't get enough of the beloved!
Wonderful and addictive! My signature!
This is more of an oud fruit bowl on me, with a few candied rose petals tossed in, as if the experience wasn't already strange enough. A very confusing total effect that brings to mind a young & fickle Arabian princess of a 1001 nights era, who wants a typical sugary girly fruity floral but wants some local flavor in there as well. I get no sophistication out of it, though I wouldn't go as far as making a Paris Hilton-gone-Arabian analogy (even if entirely out of respect to the previous reviewers, whose tastes I would never liken to such sugary synthetic monsters :) ). Definitely requires an oud lover -that note is strong here - who is looking to diversify their oud collection with something unusual.
Mmmm.... beautiful aoud rose! It starts very rosy and very aoud, then it becomes smoother, creamier with a candy edge, but most of all it's about rose and aoud: Very sophisticated, elegant, longlasting. For that price...
A rose fairy tale...Very beautiful, mysterious and oriental rose covered with cream.Oud here is just the right choice to keep the fragrance of being too sweet and too rosy.
Very deep, longlasting and perfect sillage.Unfortunately all rose-based perfumes seam to give me headache...
