Maui belongs to the Stories Collection by MCMC. Maui perfume is named after the Hawaiian island, where tropical tradition successfully meets modern surfer life style. The composition opens with ginger and star anise, with frangipani, tuberose and green bamboo in the heart, wrapped in a light sea breeze.
It is available as 50 ml EDP and as 10 ml of organic oil. Maui was launched in 2009. The nose behind this fragrance is Anne McClain.

Cereza is spot on about the description it's like some sort of asian tea, but I don't like it. It's got a medicinal zing to it.

This is my first sample of this niche house. I must say I'm more than surprised and pleased. This little creation opens with a zesty ginger and sharp anise followed by green, natural bamboo which pleases my nose very much. I get the tuberose, but it's definitely not "all over the place", so this might intrigue some of the tuberose dislikers. The frangipani gives a weird turn to the all expierence, but I must say in a good way. It reminds me a bit of red tea - fresh and cold. I'm not sure if I get the "sea" note, there is something weird playing around, but I must say I can't catch what is it, I just know it works lovely.
This could be such a perfect summer fragrance, very feminine, natural and likeable with a "weird" feel to it making this unique and special.
