APOM or A Peace of Me was inspired by Kurdjian's journey to Lebanon. APOM pour Femme incorporates orange blossom, cedar and ylang-ylang, while APOM pour Homme introduces orange blossom, cedar and amber. APOM Pour Femme was launched in 2009. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian.

Thanks, Carmencita. I did know that the name is an acronym, but was asking how the acronym is pronounced--accent on the "A" or on the "POM"?
Apom is an orange-flower/cedar/sandalwood accord which is not too dissimilar to Killian's sweet redemption - but not quite as strong. There is a tendency for this scent to go "soapy" on my skin, but I personally do not actually mind this, as I find soapy things leaning towards sentimentality rather than annoyance. It warms up nicely on the skin to a a more musk and flowers combo in which cedar streamlines the base and the effect is pleasant - but not groundbreaking. Gorgeous bottle, and I am quite a sucker for gorgeous bottles. The price is steep on this number, so do test before impulse buying. Prominent notes of orange-flowers, musk and woods.

Francis Kurkdjian sure does love working with orange blossom. Let's not forget that he is the nose behind Narciso Rodriguez EDT and Elie Saab, two fragrances that feature orange blossom in abundance. He has done it again with APOM Pour Femme.
APOM Pour Femme is surprisingly not as bold as I expected it to be. It's an airy and crisp take on orange blossom, being rather Spring appropriate on the skin. To my nose, the orange blossom in this composition is naturally sweet and slightly honeyed.
Ylang ylang compliments the orange blossom nicely. This floral blend has the uncanny ability to make one happy with its bright and 'yellow' qualities. I half suspect that there is also a hint of mimosa in this composition.
Francis Kurkdjian has chosen to keep APOM Pour Femme simple, and I fully support this wise decision. It focuses on the real beauty of orange blossom without any added distractions. The cedar note in the drydown is so very faint, allowing the orange blossom to remain a dominant fixture throughout.
APOM Pour Femme is neither soapy nor powdery, unlike some orange blossom scents. This was my first foray into the Maison Francis Kurkdjian brand. Cheers to discovering the rest of what this house has on offer.
An answer to Hummingbird5: A-P-O-M = A-Piece-Of-Me
And yes, I love it.
Just bought this perfume and I completely love the orange blossom scent, it reminds me a lot of Sweet Redemption by Kilian but not as strong.
Not a review exactly (I LOVE this fragrance), but a question: Does anyone know how this name is properly pronounced? AY-pom? Uh-POM. A-P-O-M (pronouncing each letter as an initial)? Help, please?! Thank you!
To me it is closer to Guerlain Insolence.
The brand salesman said he had some customer's feedback said this smell L'huere Bleue, this would worth to buy since I can't get Guerlain LB. Thanks to this brand, I have the chance to wear this world famous vintage L'huere Bleue.
Is it really smell like L'heure Bleu? Then I must get this, since my friend recommended me L'heure Bleu but i can't get that in my country, but i can get APOM Pour Femme.
The lasting power is lighter than Lumiere Noir.
i smell a lot of l'heure bleu in here, loads of synthetic orange flower, and while I find it nice, I was expecting more than that from FK.
Apom Pour Femme is quite a nice refereshing one.
The start is quite a déjà vu, which makes me think of sweetened, less spicy old fashioned cologne, like 4711, or any good citrusy aromatic perfume like Dior Escale a Portofino. A quite definite bergamot note is here.
Soon after, the cologne feel is totally gone, Apom Pour Femme gets sweeter, a little bit powdery with a touch of old days charm, something like Hollywood in the 70s, 80s. Apom Pour Femme actually smell a bit non-dominant baby powder mixed with flower bouquet sweetness to me, I guess it’s the ylang ylang. Somehow it’s like a sibling of Givenchy’s Ange ou Demon and Very Irresistible.
Later on, it gets more and more similar to Ange ou Demon, which I used to love a lot. The only difference to me is Apom Pour Femme is a bit smoother and less powdery than Ange ou Demon.
Lovely scent to try on, and if you like Ange ou Demon you’ll love this!
I really love this one!!
At first when you spray it on there's a light tingle in your nose when it detects some orange flowers. It's almost fruity, but in a soft way.
After a while the ylang-ylang comes up and makes it slightly oriental. The smell you notice in the chinese stores, oriental and spicy in some way.
The drydown is so dark the cedar rules it definitely!! But if you take a huge sniff you will notice the orange flowers are still there.
I'm going to buy this one soon. It's sexy and mysterious. It's also longlasting on me!
ooh this is incredible & gorgeous! on me its a sweet orangeblossom, it has something eastern, nice for summer days/ evenings or maybe even first date :-D love it and it last very well, it totally beated micallefs floral wich i so badly wanted to purchase
my search for orangeblossom is over ^_^
Sorry for the fans, but I found this to be terrible to my skin and my taste. It started good with lovely orange flowers, but soon it turned to a nightmare. It was sweet from the orange bloosom, buttery and thick from the ylang ylang, but the worst kind of stuff happened when the cedar hit in - I can't breath, literally, it's so heavy that it's almost not possible to catch my breath. And I did not over-apply.
Such a pity. Three notes. And so much power I can't bare.
I just bought this perfume after testing it this summer. I had forgotten how amazing this perfume is!! It's so beautiful, I am enjoying it so much. It makes me feel like heaven, even if I enjoy it alone and get no positive comments (which I can't imagine) it's worth every cent! And that's alot of cents!!!
I'm excited to see what comes next from this house-this is another beautiful perfume! Very wearable and clean on the drydown- a rich powdery cedar which is somehow still feminine. Incredibly balanced and unique as well.
I am not usually fan of floral perfumes but with this one I fell in love imediatly and after two months it is still my favorite. I used to wear oriental, aoud, woody, powdery perfumes which can be too overwhelming, agressive for those who are not perfume patients. With APOM I smell originally, feminine, elegant and I get compliments!
This is one of those rich scents like no 5 or patou joy. I`ve had it on for 8 hours and it has become a nice skin scent. I`m a little in love with francis.
