Eau de Parfum de George Sand was introduced as limited edition, created in cooperation with the perfumer Jean-Francois Laporte. It opens with shining lemon notes and sweet and fresh bergamot, followed by the heart of patchouli, rose and amber, and drying down to the base of musk and sandalwood. This is the first perfume from the collection dedicated to remarkable and influential French people, who marked the 19th century with their high class scandals. The first fragrance from the collection Les Parfums Hustoriques is dedicated to George Sand Nikolas DeBarry.

So Warm and Sexy. Reminds me of something I have smelled before (Opium or Obsession maybe) but much better.
I can wear this and feel sultry. Nice Patchouli and Sandalwood mix. Deep but not heavy, this won't get alot of heads turning but it will be comfortable and you will love it on your skin.

I was intrigued to try this, being an admirer not just of the works of George Sand, but also of her fearless lust for life. This fragrance contains both light and dark; it starts with a citrus sheerness, like curtains opened to the sun in a dark, wood-filled manor. The richness of the patchouli is nearly constant throughout. There is a whisper of rose in the background but nothing too forward. This is a close, seductive scent that could be worn by either sex, which honors Sand, as she was known to entertain both ladies and gentleman. Would George have worn this? We won't ever know, but I can imagine this wafting off of her portrait, her eyes daring you to lean in for a closer sniff.
