Marc Jacobs launches a refreshing version of the original fragrance Bang from 2010, named Bang Bang. Bang Bang is described as a dynamic, confident and cool fragrance, designed for independent men who strive for perfection.
The fragrance is elegant and fresh with woody character. It opens with citrus top notes that include lemon. The heart is wrapped up in warm sandalwood, with cashmere musk in the base. The composition was developed by perfumer Yann Vasnier from Givaudan.
The bottle is designed by Harry Allen in collaboration with Marc Jacobs. Bang Bang is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with 200 ml hair and body wash and 75 ml deodorant.
Bang Bang was launched in 2011.

Anytime I see this fragrance on a shelf I can't help myself from reading its name as Gang Bang, I'm sorry. Bang Bang, it's called Bang Bang! Whatever...
I would classify Bang Bang as an attempt to compose a fresh "sandalwood" but considering the current restrictions on raw materials I sould probably say it results more like a sandalwood wannabe. That being said, Bang Bang is far from being interesting. Probably not as bad as the majority of modern masculines around yet extremely far from catching my attention.
Somewhat fresh, citrusy and woody with a remrakable amount of clean musk. As Luca Turin would say "pleasures written in six-point type".

I really fell for Bang when it first came out with its rich peppery woods and modern masculinity, so I guess I expected this flanker, Bang Bang, to be along the same lines as the original. I was quite surprised and impressed when I discovered that it was an entirely different composition, much sweeter than I'd ever imagined.
Bang Bang opens with soft, sugary lemon and a hint of spice. For some time the top notes exude an interesting sparkling crispness on the skin with the slightest touch of green accords peeping through. At this point the fragrance is intimate and subtle.
The heart makes way for more intense spiciness with the introduction of the cardamom note. The spices aren't too full-blown however, partly due to a milky powderiness that slightly smoothers the composition, the lemon accord being the only note that manages to stay on top.
The drydown becomes milkier and sweeter still, with sandalwood and musk concluding a rather unique fragrant experience. If anything Bang Bang could be unisex, but it certainly wears well on a man. I would know seeming that I purchased this for my lover boy only last week.
My man loves sweet scents, and Bang Bang satisfies his cravings without making me nauseous in the process. The sillage while intimate is in no way a reflection on the lasting strength which was impressive to say the least.
For a bit of an aggressive bite, I'd choose Bang, but for something less in-your-face, Bang Bang does the job nicely.

I totally agree with Bronstein's review. Bang Bang isn't anything special at all and, in my opinion, wouldn't even be worth parting with a penny for. It's marginally better than Bang) which I thought was absolutely VILE!) but that's really not saying much. Oh, and the bottles to both Bang and Bang Bang are really horrible too!

Bang Bang....well named !!. Does just as it says. This fragrance is fresh powdery and peppery with a masculine edge. Got this as a Christmas gift and thought....I'll hate this !....as I have specific tastes in what I like and don't like. Absolutely love this; it's me !!. A lot of people say it's not as good as the original Bang....I have to disagree whole heartedly. The original ( Bang ) is for for the man over 50 in my opinion.Bang Bang is fresh ,modern and is an ageless fragrance. I normally wear Dior Homme, and Truth from Calvin Klien....Bang Bang is my favourite now...luv-it !!.

Got it! I enjoy it very much but it does not beat the original Bang for me. It does remind me of a million other things where the original does not. It's still very nice and I love the bottle. I need the Bang and Bang Bang bottles in all the sizes! : )

YES!!! Finally a musk that doesn't suffocate me! The generous lashings of Sandalwood don't hurt either. Nice sillage ... will have to see about the longevity when I've given it a good wear. First impressions are of a top notch, well crafted fragrance with a definite place in the men's marketplace. Wholly better and more substantial than the original ... and the bottle is very clever! Don't be fooled into thinking that it's a "blue" fragrance ... it's not! It's deep and woody, with a remarkable zesty freshness in the opening no doubt provided by the lemon. Too many fragrances are overcomplicated in note structure ... this one simply is what it is! 7/10

I tried this at the airport and planned on writing this comment as soon as I got to my hotel room. So here I am writing this, but guess what?! I don't remember anything about it except the sadalwood part. This is sad! (-_-) At least, I can say that the Bang Bang is no longer a black pepper steak seasoning. It's a pleasant but very forgettable fragrance. It's much more wearable to a lot of people. Kudo to Marc Jacobs for making this because it will probably outsells the original. Now, please release it to the public and I will looking for one t TJ Maxx very soon.

Yet another one of these "modern", but in fact generic male fragrances without anything worth mentioning. So, "Bang Bang" is the successor to "Bang"? How original, why should we care?
This will probably sell by the bucketload for no other reason than marketing. Anyone who reads these lines should be warned: don't waste your money on this. Must be the least characteristic fragrance of the year.

Almost equal to the D&G The One. But this one has a much more beautiful bottle. In fact, the bottles of Bang and Bang Bang are perhaps the coolest I've ever seen.
This is a fragrance with a pleasant smell.
It has good longevity and projection.
He loved having one Bang or Bang Bang.

I have a soft spot for simple, warm, sensual woody compositions. Bang Bang went straight to my love-list.
I smelled it on a paper strip and instantly wanted to nuzzle it.
Soft woods, musk, lots of pepper and cardamon in the top notes. Nothing special maybe, but very well composed. Not too sweet or sharp, nothing stands out too much. A perfcet sphere.
Sillage and staying power aren't very good.
I also agree with comments on this being similar to The One by D&G and Adventure by Davidoff.

Pleasant warm and peppery tones - particularly on the top notes, but thankfully less in your face and one-dimensional than its brother 'BANG'. It reminded me of 'The One' pour homme by D&G, I would buy, however it's appearance was only fleeting (about 2 hours)!

Definitely those who wait for something fresh or different from the regular Bang will be disappointed. Bang Bang is again peppery, but if Bang was a simple combination of pepper and woods, this one is richer in the point of other spices and soft fruits. Bang Bang to me is a drier variation of John Varvatos cologne (yeah, they are very similar). Maybe Bang Bang is a bit more interesting than its predecessor, though I don't see a need to buy the new fragrance if you already have Bang. The longevity is still very poor.

Much better than the original. To my nose, the opening is very nice but the dry down smells very similar to Davidoff Champion....ummm....not good.

Nice scent, particularly love the black pepper accord which adds real richness and warmth when sprayed on the skin. It's not a headturner by any accounts but will attract attention

Much better than previous one, and very different. Smells average, I would not brand it with his name though, disgrace.

The opening is musky and mossy. And then it evolves into something like Le Male, and a very dusty one. It's not bad, but just not my kind of scent.
For a similar complexion and structure, I would recommend Lalique Encre Noire, which in my opinion is much more elegant.
That being said, I do like this better than the original Bang. And the lasting power is also better than the original.

I tried this today and it is so much better than the original. It has more energy in the opening and dries down very similar to Celine fever. If I can find this cheap I think I'll purchase this.
