Lola Velvet Marc Jacobs for women

according to the online marc jacobs store, the lola and lola velvet are the same juice just limitied edition bottle. i havent got the option to smell them both to compare but ppl on here seem to allude to them being different?

I would call it "Sweet india"- it sure is sweet, but at the same time it has different tones of spices.
I would not recommend it for everyday use, more for special occasions or for the evening.

I've never seen the beauty in Marc Jacobs fragrances;
I feel all the womens fragrances from this brand are safe-boring florals...

The bottles with disgustingly plastic or rubber & metal flowers in the most unseamly colours can only be described as garish.

Definitely overpriced for the cheap presentation & thoroughly forgettable fragrances.

Vera Wang on the other hand does lovely florals that represent the best in safe yet well presented fragrances in decent looking bottles: Bouquet is a nice example of this as is Original or Look.

In my opinion, this is a less intense version of the original. It's a nice fragrance but it seems to keep this strong note all through the day. Not really my cup of tea.

Since I'm a collector of perfume vessels, this one was a "must-have" - and I got it as a present for X-Mas. Looks wonderful on my dressing-table - but I cannot wear the scent... neither can any of my daughters. Our cute little German "gummy-bears" smell and taste much better than this perfume, which is the incarnation of a fragrance smelling of a polythene sheet or a plastic bag, so utterly artificial and devoid of any natural ingredient that you start craving for Escada's Ibiza Hippie. No resemblance to the gorgeous Kashaya by Kenzo, a superb Sophia Grojsman-scent... - I totally agree with passionata20.
Lola has no soul - it's stinking purple plastic in a bottle.

Parfumguru, this smells nothing like Kashaya in any way!!! I have Kashaya at home and today i also tried this one. I can say they are absolutly different! this one is fresh and very artifical! Yes, indeed it smells like jelly Gummi bears. Water with a lot of sugar.
Wanted to love it becuase of the bottle, maybe i will buy a small one someday, but the fragrance is totally without any personality like all the others MJ fragrances.

Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every rewiev should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.

The bottle is really beautiful. I want to touch it, to look at it, to buy it...But bottle not perfume.

For me Lola Velvet is just too sweet. It tastes like Haribo's gummy bears. May be I'm too strict, but I tried it on my hand and 30 min later only sugar remained. It's still may fit for very young girl.

Such a gorgeous bottle! Fragrance is just ok though.

I just sniffed and tried to put on my arm from the magazine insert page, and I could not believe my nose how this smelled exactly like Kenzo Kashaya I had when I was a teenager.Not bad but personally I would not be able to use this as an everyday perfume. Definitely a special occasion/event fragrance.
