My parents happen to have an ivy-covered wall on their house, and having spent a day last summer trying to trim it down I *know* ivy. Up close and personal. It smells very sharp and sappy-green, with a darker, mossy, powdery-dusty aspect to it as well. It also gives me vicious asthma attacks.

Marc Jacobs' rendition of ivy, then, is too well-behaved. In fact, it has little to do with ivy at all, to my nose. It smells green-woody, rather classically masculine and refreshing. Too clean and light to portray ivy, but pleasant in its own right, I suppose.
Any scent in this series has yet to impress me, so far. Some are pleasant, but no more than that.
On the bright side: no asthma attacks with this ivy.
