Eau D'Essence was launched in 1999. It opens with violet, grapefruit, mandarin and black currant. The heart is composed of jasmine, cardamom, patchouli, lily-of-the-valley, sandalwood and cedar. Musk, amber and green tea form the base.

I had this one years ago, and though the initial burst is reminiscent of Pamplelune, the dry down is much more complex. Wish I still had it now, it was a great fragrance.

It is indeed almost identical to Guerlain Pamplelune! I sprayed a vial of Pamplelune for Delphine and it really instantly made me think of Eau d'Essence!

Great fragrance for those who like citrus. Don't know why it's in Floral Wood Musk category. It's so similar to Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune - they're smell almost alike. It's different, definitely not for everybody but again if you love Pamplelune, you're gonna love this one.

This perfume is a masterpiece. It is sooo classy, so refreshing, so sophisticated!! It is an allrounder, you smell the refreshing tea right in the opening, added the fruity element of the black current.
The spicy edge is there and the floral components for excellent balance. AMAZING!!
