Masaki/Masaki is a female perfume introduced in 2007, dedicated to a lady who lives in 5th Avenue, shops at Saks, walks around Central Park and visits Manhattan museums. The creator, Masakï Matshushïma, points out the upper Ney York class as an inspiration, minimalism showed in the fragrance as well as on the bottle. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean Jacques. Top notes are: litchi, Fuji apple, passion fruit and watermelon. The heart is floral with rose and magnolia and it dries down to the base of raspberry, patchouli, crystal musk and white cedar. The fragrance is available as 40 and 80 ml EDP.

a bit vintage

After reading this fragrance's description, and many glowing reviews I couldn't wait to get my hands on this and try it. But to my nose, something about it feels dated and stuffy (maybe the rose paired up with the magnolia?) I was disappointed because, Masaki/Masaki was not what I was expecting.

very optimistic fragrance.
sheer, transparent, openhearted.
an open space with a light breeze.
a serene smile and a beam of light :)

I regret it doesn't work with my chemistry.
