I like this. I kept thinking it reminds me of something and it finally hit me; Sand & Sable. It's been a long time since I smelled S&S so maybe my memory is off but that's what it reminds me of.
I love all of the seperate scents that this is made of but this smells sour on me. Reminds me of Nikita, but not sure why as the compositions are different.
This EDP does not work for me. I have been playing around with samples from Sephora, but at the end of the day, I cannot wear this. Even though I can get into Tubereuse (for example, Noix de Tubereuse, a natural fragrance by Miller Harris), this one has something unpleasant about it and it gets worse at dry-down. It makes me think a bit of burnt plastic, or a car interior overheated by the sun. Bottom line: it smells fake and the balance is not quite right, kind of sweet, but with a hard edge, and that burnt plastic bit...
I usually love tuberose, but I can't stand this perfume. I like it for about 10 seconds. In the first instant its fresh and floral and smells so could. Unfortunately, it then turns sour on my skin, a smell so horrible i can't wait to scrub it off. I forced myself to leave it on for 3 hours hoping it would get better. Tuberose is usually amazing on me, a complex, creamy, sultry floral, but not here. I owned Kors by Michael Kors and when i ran out recently after it was discontinued, my mom got me this as a gift. Not nearly the same. I miss my Kors.
i'm a guy and the main reason behind me buying this because it reminds me of a woman i've met somewhere and honestly it really suits me when i put it on
Lovely fragrance! Michael Kors reminds me a lot of Bath and Body Works' Velvet Tuberose and Avon's Gardenia scents, both of which are sadly discontinued. I had first tried it in the combination rollerball/lip gloss form, and got some pretty good use out of it until it broke when I accidentally dropped it on my driveway! I've since repurchased Michael Kors, this time in the mini 0.17 fl. oz. bottle. I consider this fragrance best for spring, but appropriate for all seasons due to its "clean" scent.
Too much tuberose for me. I can't really smell anything else besides a hint of freesia. This one is very strong and sweet.
2/10
*Headache factor: Ouch! I'd put this at an 8/10.
Feminine, sophisticated, sweet, Something for Fall, not Summer. Can be a bit overwhelming at first, but the dry down is nice.
I shouldnt have even attempted this one. I abhor tuberose. I wasnt sure until I sampled this perfume. I can see the appeal, its beautiful in many ways...but my nose cant get past the tuberose. I almost recoil from this note.
This is a yummy fragrance! Men Love it!
While i hate white floral perfumes, i can't help but appreciate how deliciously smooth this scent is. I don't find it as intolerable as i usually find while floral fumes but it still isn't for me. But the fact that it made me stop and think has got me convinced that someone who does like tuberose and white florals has got to try this out. I think they'd really like it.
This is a lighter, more flowery scent than I usually wear. I bought it on a day when I wanted something different. It is actually lovely in the summer, and people seem to like it.
Shew! beautiful top floral notes. but too sweet and heady when it settles on my skin..
I really love this fragrance. With my chemistry, it is feminine, light, yet floral and lush. Women and men both compliment me when I wear it. It is perfect for the spring and summer months, day-time. Night-time could work also, though I prefer more musk in my night-time/date-night fragrances. I reach for this one at least once a week. I'm moody with my fragrances, but I will re-purchase Michael Kors - Michael Kors women's EDP once I run out. I have the 1.7 fl oz bottle right now, and it's perfect.
This beautiful scent is a little too strong in the topnotes for me to wear often. This is a nice outdoors scent, it makes me feel like the flower in a field. A breezy day seems to bring out the vetiver which to me, was a genius addition to this composition.
Tuberose heaven. Intoxicating. Use with a light hand and spray into your hair. I just love it, but can see how it may not be for everyone. it's not "run of the mill". This perfume reminds me of a wedding in a garden, with lanterns strung about and a beautiful wreath of flowers on the brides head.
Try it!
This frag is truly stunning!! It's glamorous in such a modern 'red carpet' way, and yet gives one the 'come hither' feel of silent movie stars :o). Classic and modern all in one bottle ... a work of olfactory art really. I love tuberose and this has it in spades, but the blend of freesia and hint of incense is inspired. The cashmere wood underpins the creamy white flowers admirably ... Michael Kors, however, is definitely an essay on that Queen of all flowers. Getting this note to behave is not easy (I'm not sure if this is the frag designed at Givenchy or not ... seems to be a bit of confusion), but whoever the nose was pulled it off magnifi-scently! I feel, personally, that this is not a fragrance to be worn shyly. It's for those who don't mind being noticed ... who like to stand away from the crowd. One spritz 'aint gonna do it :o) ... abuse the nozzle and it will guarantee you all the attention you deserve!!
This is one of the sexiest fragrances I have ever bought and I bought all of the product in the store. Hot! hot! I love it! It's like a holiday in Hawaii that I have always dreamed about.
Ever since I found a sample of this fragrance in a magazine I have wanted it, but as a poor college student I can't really afford Michael Kors on my budget...like at all. HOWEVER....I seriously just found the .5 oz bottle at me local TJ Maxx for $10!! So I am now the proud owner of this scent which is certainly one of my new favorites!!
Such a beautiful scent. Its very floral which I love but its not overpowering or old lady smelling. Its an elegant, classic scent. Its certainly not a hot summer day at the beach fragrance. It would work well in spring/summer I think, for a evening out, not necessarily formal, though it would work that way if you so wanted.
Its a beautiful fragrance, and who would expect less from Mr. Elegance himself, Michael Kors?!
Oh my god, somebody wipe the drool off my chin! This is amazing! And thats coming from a FORMER floral hater. Very strong scent, but so smooth and sweet and tuberosey-heavenly. I'm almost afraid to wear it out anywhere because I understand not everyone would appreciate this type of scent, but its so good, I'm about to throw caution to the wind, and spray this into it, mwahahaha!
I love it that there's a lot of tuberose, it's my favourite note, and I like it strong, as it is here.
But there's also a big note of freesia, blended in beautifully and it stops the tuberose from becoming at all brutal. It gives the perfume floral suavity. Then a very slightly bitter herbal woodiness creeps up, it may be the cashmere wood, and I like that too, it's just enough to edge the perfume up a little, so that it's not too altogether creamy/dreamy.
All in all, it's a very wearable and aromatic-woody tuberose, but not a great one.
I had it for awhile, and while it is intense at first... it seemed to fade away in no time. Is it just me, or does the drydown happen too fast? I have neutral skin that is neither too dry or oily, so I don't get it. Tuberose is an incredibly powerful little white flower. I love it, and I think they've kept it as fresh as possible in this scent. A raw and deep tuberose is Fracas, which I also have. I enjoy the scent and I think certain men love it, but I'm still on the fence. I returned my bottle. I will pick up a sample to test it again. Sometimes you can go back to a perfume and it changes for you.
Tuberose and any type of lily does not register as pleasant to me. This is so overpowering, with the over ripe tuberose and lily dominating the perfume, that I find it unwearable. The incense and woods are completely overpowered. This perfume, to me, seems extremely unbalanced and concocted with a heavy hand.
Men love this scent, they go crazy for it. Very heavenly, sensual and sexy. It has CREAMY florals and CASHMERE woods mmmmmm!.
I got this with a set I got with 3 of MK perfumes and 3 lip glosses. I think this a more sophisticated scent. I don't wear this too much. I use it when going out to some place fancy. If you like sophisticated scents, go ahead and try this one!
I'm really disappointed with this perfume. I was really curious since there are many people that simply adore this fragrance. It opened really beautiful and powerful. I was knocked out by a cloud of white flowers, but after a while it became bitter, then I could smell something metalic. After two hours it was a pleasant soapy scent and finally disappeared from my skin...to bad it did not work out with my body chemestry...
I'm on the fence about this one b/c all I can smell in this is tuberose, tuberose, TUBEROSE. As another said, I have to be in the mood for this, and I apply as lightly as possible b/c it can be overwhelming. I wish I could pick of some of the other notes in it, but for whatever reason, for me, the tuberose dominates from start to finish.
I have to be in the mood to wear this, but I find it to be quite unique. It's rosy but is balanced out nicely by the woody notes. If I'm not in the mood to wear this, all I can smell is bananas!
This is suprisingly good for my skin and my nose. It opens extremely sweet with green freesia followed by marvelous power tuberose, which is not sharp here, but more like creamy and tropical.
It's extremely feminine and heavy, so it should be worn very careful to not overdo this, because then it might get tragic. All in all this is something I'd like to smell like and like to smell on other people as well. Surprisingly good. I might even give this a try, because the price for this beauty is ridicilously low.
Smells like a crushed yellow rockets candy, so that all you smell is a yellow dusty powder with an artificial smell. After smelling it again recently, It smelled *exactly* like the bananna shaped Runts candy. Very overpowering and extremely long lasting. Not a youthful scent.
Imo it has way too much tuberose so I think it's unwearable.
The cloying factor is 100% in this
so just in case your going to buy it
wear it sparingly because iy's heavy.
the opening starts with a blast of synthtic if not plastic scent of coconut
and pineapple in a couple of minutes
freesia and peony makes it's presence
known and the only drydown i can detect
is musk.
and i thought to myself is this going to be a run of the mill kind of fragrances i thought so when i received
this from a swap but i realized that
this is one of a kind perfume.
and i also love the flacon of this
clean modern and elegant.
the only con is the siliage is to heavy
so spray only once.
OK..THE INGREDIENTS ARE DIFFERENT!..I JUST COMPARED THEM AND MICHAEL HAS SEVERAL DIFFERENT ONES THAT MICHAEL KORS DOES NOT...THAT EXPLAINS IT ..SO.. ANY BODY KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IN SMELL IS HERE..I LOVE MY MICHAEL KORS BUT WANT TO TRY MICHAEL...
i just bought michael kors by michael kors and i love it...but what is the difference between michael by michael kors and michale kors by michale kors?..just wondering if the scent is any different
This osmanthus accord seems do all the work in all fragrances is in. Works like a violoncelo does in a classical part backing all the other instruments and making the whole composition rich and profound. 12-10-09
I'm not sure if the review I gave for "Michael" belonged here instead- but at any rate, whichever one it was- great top-notes but a disappointing shampoo-dry-down- it started with a bang but ended in a whimper
Hmm, I don't really know with this one. It's definitely a more mature fragrance (I wouldn't recommend it for teenager like me) but it's not quite unpleasant. As soon as I put it on I smelled the incense, which I usually like, but in this case I really didn't. It was just too strong and there was no balance. A little bit later, the softer floral notes came out and it was far better.
Changed my mind again. This is a wonderful fragrance. But it is not one you can use in Summer. The floral notes become like rotten flower petals (I rarely say that about fragrances) and it is too sweet and overly cloying. However, in the colder months it's simply "beautiful" - a bouquet of flowers, golden, rich and seductive.
Michael Kors is a deep, creamy flower fragrance. The scent is really feminine and sensual, the dominant notes are the Osmathus,Tuberose,Lily and the cashmere wood. The first sniff is floral and a bit sweet/smoky i think it's from the incense but it smells not really like incense. And then you can smell the other flowers i mostly smell the tuberose(which i like and dislike at the same time)and the woody notes make it confident and creamy.
The colour of the scent match to the fragrance and to the bottle, this is also very nice.A good scent for the spring, fall and wintertime.Michael Kors "Very Pretty" is similar to this one it also smells only a bit lighter and like coconut. It's not such a strong fragrance how i thought but maybe the EDP is much stronger, this one is also good for the daytime and better for mature womans.
I have changed my mind about this one. It becomes sickening after a while. I’m not so sure why that is – it could be the sweetness (but it’s not very sweet), it may be because it hits you over the head with the flowers, or maybe it’s too rich?? I’m beginning to see this fragrance not as a basic floral, but as overpowering and luxurious. I avoid wearing it because it gives me the same effect as Angel - delicious and irresistible – but nauseating and headache inducing.
In my earlier review I said that Michael Kors was a “rainbow” of scents compared to Beautiful Love where the scents were muddied. But I now think the notes in Michael Kors are not completely separated… And it tends to behave like a cloud around your head, of flowers and fruits, that won’t go away! It can be suffocating at times, but is usually just irritating. I regret getting this and not the Badgley Mischka perfume. The two are very similar. But I think I prefer Badgley Mischka because it is easier to like, and isn’t so sickening (but then again, I haven’t tried it for a long period of time…).
I was really excited about this scent when I first found it - by accident - in a department store. It replaced Beautiful Love (by Estee Lauder) which I was going to buy - but Michael Kors seemed better, like an upgraded version of it. Let me start, by saying that Beautiful Love smells disgusting at first (maybe it's a skin chemistry thing??) - but the drydown makes the notes more distinctive, revealing what seems like an array of many different flowers, from a complex, summer garden - which I like. However, my major criticism of Beautiful Love is that, when you blend every color of the spectrum, you don't get a rainbow - you get a mixture, a muddy brown. But with Michael Kors, I saw a rainbow, and it was love at first smell. The fragrance is very beautiful and rich - an opulent bouquet of white flowers and exotic fruits. Deeply attractive... Luminous. Tuberose dominates, but with osmanthus and other intoxicating smells. It has the ability to be very light and heavy at the same time. Complex...
I find this fragrance to be bold, feminine and sophisticated. Sometimes I find that stronger perfumes end up being a little stuffy but this one is warm and sensual without overwhelming.
My cousin wears this as her signature scent and gets tons of compliments from both men and women.
Ohhh my god , this is like liquified sex , is the most sexiest perfume ever !!!
I can totally smell the tuberose and the cashmere notes.
Mmmmm brings me memories :)
even though it's not one of my top 3, this one gets me the most compliments from men when i put it. There's a little problem with the spray device, which can easily be broken;so better keep an extra empty bottle:)
I can't see myself without this scent! Like the other reviewer stated, I agree that it is a classy scent. However, I also find it to be exotic, because it is tropical, creamy, and spicy. It's sophisticated, but also fun and sexy. Go light with this one! It is on the strong side. Lasting power is great, which is nice, since this is not a cheap fragrance. The tuberose in it makes it especially gorgeous. I wear this for any season or occasion.
I'm not sure which one I tried in the store. It was either "Michael Kors" or "Michael", but it was really pretty. Not fascinating, not awe-striking or unique, but it was definitely pretty, feminine, and classy, yet simple at the same time. I liked it a lot. It's beautiful and an everyday wear. Not light or strong. More floral than anything else.
