Macchia Mediterranea by Monotheme Fine Fragrances Venezia is a aromatic fruity fragrance for men. Top notes are bergamot, amalfi lemon, grapefruit and orange; middle notes are fig, green notes, watermelon and jasmine; base notes are musk, amber and woodsy notes.

This is a wonderful, spicy/peppery fragrance. Fruity and fresh top notes give way to middle notes that are a bit spicier without losing their fruitiness. Base notes remain clean, lightly musky and woody. A classic fragrance, not cheap-smelling or soapy. It is inexpensive - I got my bottle for 12 Euros in Italy last summer, but unfortunately VERY hard to find outside of Italy. (As a sidenote: The word "macchia" in its name "Macchia Mediterranea" refers to the classic Mediterranean wild grasslands which in French is known as "maquis". Indeed, this fragrance does remind me of the Sardinian countryside in springtime, lush with aromatic wild plants.)
