I loveeeeeeee it! This is my favorite Montale of all!

If you like smelling like a strawberry flavored bubble gum dipped into the Redbull, this is the one for you! And I really like smelling like that. On my skin, it's quite intense, with quite some aura. Very juicy, sweet, girly, but with this musky and sour note to it, which makes it more mature. Lovely and different!

This is an interesting scent. The initial whiff on the skin makes me think grape bubblegum. Candy-like, mysterious and a bit phenolic/medicinal. Synthetic but pleasant. On the dry-down it becomes an amusingly familiar scent- it smells exactly like the scented erasers I used to have as a child in the 1980s! Great longevity and silage 5/5.

I am so happy this one did not turn out to be yummy or overwhelmingly gourmand on my skin! I hardly recognize the notes, but the most prominent smell I get are waxy almonds with a few drops of sweet strawberry syrup over them. It gives the bubble gummy feeling and although it does not smell natural but rather plastic and rubbery, I manage to like it!

I have never tried anything similar to this... Great fragrance!

I love much of Montale's line but not this one! An unholy Mix of POTLs Luctor et Emergo, Hypnotic Poison, plus lots of syrup on my skin. Smells like grape/cherry soda with an undertone of almonds..too much for me and I like many sweet, heady fumes! Strong and it almost required an exorcism to get it off my skin... Something is clashing here- I suggest trying it on your skin first.

Amazing! So unique! If you love almonds and gourmand scents, this is something for you. It is a mixture of sweet strawberries with warm and semi-sweet almonds, and sweet vanilla in the background. Warm, sweet, but not too much. It is worth trying for everyone who adores almonds. And who loves Montale.

Goloso goloso goloso! senza però essere stucchevole. La sua dolcezza è comunque supportata da spezie in modo da non renderlo troppo "caramelloso". E', a mio parere, un gourmand di grande classe.

I have to disagree with most of people here .. Mukhallat was on my try list for a long time thanx to great reviews ,till i went to the store that sells montale .. the 1st name in my mind was Mukhallat so the sales man spreayed some of it in my wist and here WHAT A BIG DISAPOINTMENT , to my nose is pure cheap musk that we sell in attars stores only musk nothing more nothing less ..

Disgustingly sweet and flat. I'd prefer an average fruity floral on a woman over this, and that's saying something! I wish I could say something more eloquent but when I tested it the sweetness was overpowering. I was afraid it would give me diabetes.

I just don't understand how this gets praised when there are much better fragrances sitting on the shelf at your local Macy's that get panned for being.. hmm, popular? Well blended? Well, Mukhallat is neither of those adjectives; rightly so.

Very unusual one. It reminds me of some sweets from my childhood, but I can't remember what exactly. I love it. But some of my friends telling me that it smells like chemical bug spray. I can't believe in it! It smells so wonderful sweet, so nice, so yummy. So I'm confused and I'm in doubt.

Firstly - this aroma is so penetrating, that - just as Jae mentions - it creeps out of the container (in my case a sample). I have a bunch of samples bundled in a plastic bubble wrap and a thick paper envelope - including some very potent stuff (several strong Profumum samples for instance involving mighty Amber or Santalwood)- but the sweet, prickly, syrupy Tutti-Frutti-Bubble gum like scent has managed to engulf the whole drawer. Thus I was expecting something suffocatingly toxic on opening the sample, but fortunately it is not so. The fragrance softens, calms down and lightens on the skin almost as if the volatile sickly sweet goo evaporates instantly on exposure to the air and leaves only a pleasant light trail of sweet and quite natural (maybe wild even) strawberries with traces - perhaps - of vanilla and musk (and minute amounts of almonds to me). It is pleasant now, but I would say that extremely different from anything else I have tried from Montale. This is so sweet, frilly, summery and girly and even slightly "Disneyland-ly" that I can't see how would any male be able to wear this. The liquid itself is of a pinkish/redish color and bizarre, slightly viscous consistency and spilled on your light colored clothes, it will stain. To me this is all about summer in mini-skirts, lots of pink color, hair accessories, glitter and bounty of lipstick. I quite like it - don't get me wrong - but I like sweet, fruity stuff every now and then...

Mukhallat is my favorite fragrance from Montale range. It's one of those rare scents having a sharp and poisonous (as I call it:)) almond note which is there from the top notes to the very base and makes this fragrance exceptional. Yes, it is a sweet fragrance, but it smells some kind of dangerous at the same time. There's something not only dangerous, but vintage in it. Not sure what that is, probably the disturbing almond note (you know, cyanide has a smell of almonds:))) which makes me think of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez movies, particularly the movie called Sin City. There's a lady in it, black and white with the bright red lips. She could be wearing Mukhallat :) I find it very sexy and innocent at the same time. The staying power is very good on me. Try it if you dare ;)

Interesting, I thought as I dabbed this scent from my sample. Much sweeter and more rounded than I expected it would be. Then, after this auspicious start, I smelled almonds. And strawberries. And musk. And this combination brought an unfortunate image to mind, namely a certain type of almond-strawberry scented deodorizer that is frequently used in public toilets in the US, always much too strong and suffocating in the small space through which it spews its contents. I almost scrubbed, but got distracted by having to do something else, and did not scrub. The time that went by allowed the strawberry and some of the benzaldehyde to dissipate, leaving behind what proved to be a pleasantly sweet almond vanilla musk. I’m now really glad I let the perfume develop. In the end, Mukhallat is all about musk, a wonderful, slightly gourmand, and quite strong version of white musk. In the end, it dries down to a musky skin scent that lasts for several hours before fading away.

All in all, this is basically a nice clean-smelling vanilla musk, which is a pleasure to wear. I don’t know if it’s worth suffering through the air-freshener phase, though.

yes! this is a simple yet sophisticated fragrance: my boyfriend told me today i smelled delicious and sexy (he's usually very chary of compliments). To me the scent is exactly like the notes listed. Don't have much to add to other reviews, so I'm gonna quote: "yummy"! =)

First impression(s):
I opened the boxed and removed the pouch, which is a nice touch for traveling purposes. I'm instantly wondering why all perfumes in glass bottles don't have pouches (a cool feature, would help in the justification of prices to some extent, light protection). I can already detect the scent creeping out - and what a wonderful, comforting scent this is!!!! I know that this composition was SIMPLE, but I can detect the notes with clarity. The blend is superb and I noticed something else: the area I sprayed on my arm is shiny. No wonder the Montales last so long; they're oily!! This instantly makes this a skin scent (as perfumes were meant to be, right?). The sillage is contagious and this smells YUMMY!!! I love this on myself, but I can see myself wanting to eat the woman that wears this.....

I fully agree with the description as ''yummy'', loved it,, smells like the old times bubblegums, but in an elegant, sofisticated way, the sample was tooooo small to satisfy my appetite for this lovely perfume, have to have the bottle, happy morish smell!

Yummy! Tasty, in a very oriental, pleasant, comfortable and unusual way. This is not a cookie, but a serious, opulent cake with forest strawberries, which gives their thick syrup to the whole composition. Almonds add sweetness and a gourmand effect, while vanilla and musk create fullness, and intense structure.

In time strawberries are becoming thinner and thinner. It is incredible how often I sniff my wrists to feel that sweet fragrant syrup drops run through woody and musky undernotes of the rest of the composition. Each note of the fragrance is characteristic, specific and rich.

This is the right choice for them who enjoy gourmand, but not edible fragrances. I think it would melt even icy snowflakes with its beauty.

If there is a perfume that could represent happiness and warmth of home, Mukhallat would definitely be the representative...
One more time time... yummy!

This is another beautiful and very special fragrance by Montale, I liked at the first sniff. Sweet and seductive strawberry with warm and soft almonds with noble woody undertones. Sweet, but its sweetness is not boring, but appealing. In the top I smell strawberry, mixed with almonds, they become more clear in the middle, but all the time you smell aristocratic woods in the back. I admire every layer of this very complex scent.
