Agree with the former commentators: this is much of an oudh fragrance than musk- oudh-rose, in fact... which is nice, but there are already so many others with this theme.

More of an oud, nutmeg and wood fragrance with some metallic overtones rather than a musk, really. The musk isn't, as the name would imply, in the forefront. I like it, but was hoping for something more animalic and rich. Their Aoud Musk was a better fit for me and hits those animalic "buttons" and the musk it contains is much richer.

The description of this Montale is pretty spot on. This isn't a gourmand musk like Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur or clean like Kiehls Musk No 1. Musk to Musk is an altogether spicier affair. I only pick up a hint of musk from time to time. On top of this base is a very woody spicy scent. The oud note is very resinous. It's very masculine and warm, but perhaps to masculine for my tastes.
